@Dice Snow was a tactical decision because I thought after literally claiming Symp itt knowing the scum were looking for me that I was for sure going to link up with them N1. He was also starting to catch a lot of shade so I wanted to be on the better end of that voting wise because of my recent history of trying too hard to save scummates in danger

@ AJ yeah once claims were all out in the open you were pretty much dependent on villagers being lazy, which didn't happen as it panned out.  Less active villagers picked up the torch after the N3 slaughter.  I think early on the game had a lot of variance.  If scum all identify each other D1 and the Heathens and Order really don't, scum sort of power wolfs the lynch onto an afk villager and can all hook up at night, if I'm not mistaken you would have had 8 shots and would have achieved parity N1.  Which team collectively put in more work day 1 made a huge difference in this build.

 

In the absence of that, I'm not sure how it all shakes down with your team's night kill accessibility.  If the dead couldn't talk or the living weren't trying to figure out who was who at night, I think it might have been possible to hack away all the loud people and power wolf a mislynch sooner or later.  I'm not going to do the math, but I'm thinking if Darthe doesn't die N1 and you can score a mislynch D2 you still gain a huge/possibly game ending advantage if you all find each other N2.  A lot just depended on which teams successfully hooked up first.

 

What made this game feel really good from a town perspective was that we were going to lynch most of the wolves with or without claims.

I think the most we could've had N1 if we all joined in a QT alive would be 7 shots. Each player had 2x personal kills and then we would've gotten a factional kill on top of that.

 

I'm not knocking Town's effort by any means. They played well and used their powers to peek wolves consistently. An example of what I'm saying is D1 both David and Lenlo were able to rapidly avoid getting mislynched because they could just claim and instantly at least five other players knew they were legit. Then as things progressed the ability to share private info with each other to vet other slots made it harder and harder to stay out of the POE. I'm not sure how it was from someone else's POV and I also knew who the wolves were but it was increasingly obvious to me who had info and who didn't and it's tough to play against that when towards the end that was the basis of suspicion. Like Krak's case on Tiink was perfect (albeit wrong) but since they could mutually clear one another it never developed into anything.

Part of why I was irritated D1 that David and Lenlo claimed was because I was never letting either of them get lynched over Snow at the point they did it.  -_-

Obviously it didn't help that by D2 two demons were dead, no one had named me correctly despite literally claiming symp to a mafia member and a third demon was checked dirty with a gun.

 

Town was on top of it but with the ability to claim to each other made things much harder once they had already gained some momentum. I could've never claimed Heathen or Order because I never would've properly guessed what info was in their PM. I had an idea the Heathens may have a collective protection ability but I never would've guessed the "Legionnaire" was the person I was trying to find, etc.
