And for the record, this game feels like it's lagging to me and there's not much to play off of. Not that I want the volume of 90s mafia, but a little more action would be nice. I trust you to stir up some...stuff...while I'm gone?

Ironeyes, would you mind explaining your read on Alanna (and ideally how it's changed through the game)?

Well I'm kind of in two minds about her. One one hand I see her working at solving and getting opinions out of people, but some of her questions appeared to me to be intended to direct attention away from herself and onto other people. Overall I see more town than scum in her ATP. 

 

I suck at reading alanna... Really I suck at reading a lot of people lolololol but I really suck at reading Alanna... If you look at other games I always have a problem and usually think she's scummy. Honestly she usually thinks i'm scummy too. *shrugs* we play very differently. 

 

Also I almost never make any kind of reads this early in the game. I find them pointless and misleading. Town hasn't had time to establish and Mafia has the easiest time faking it D1. I'm a D1 hater lol. I will make comments about people's normal game play, if I know how they play(or feel I do) but unless they do something obviously not town I'm not gonna give a whole lot of reads. And I didn't think I came into D1 late at all.. I was posting about an hour after the thread opened.... O.o *shrugs*

That's kinda tempting but I don't think we would gain anything from it. All that does is get kill a player who doesn't clear/incriminate anyone when he dies.

Pretty sure I've only commented on a few things. I'm collecting observations. I'll comment on the observations once I have answers and I've sorted through them.

I think you're very nitpicky and reading posts perhaps as more serious than I would? Your questions make me feel like you're out to get people, which I guess is what you are regardless.

 

 

 

Okay, fair enough if that's your perception. There's actually only one person I know who routinely gets what I'm doing when I do what I do, so I can't blame you if you don't get it.

 

But what specifically do you think i'm being nitpicky about? Who do you think I'm out to get? And how would you propose that we set about finding scum if we're not questioning what they say?

 

To give you a little bit of insight into moi, though, I'll say this: not everything I say is serious. But I definitely will let people know when I am, and I hope you can figure out at this point what I'm actually serious about. 

 

For example, to give you an idea of what I'm getting at with regards to Darthe - what do you think of the fact that he has repeatedly ignored my questions about his comments to BFG about her being serious so 'early" in favour of responding to the more peripheral questions that I've asked.

Without going back to specifically pick apart your posts I'll say that you've asked about things where I would usually let it slide. I can go back and find concrete questions though. It just seems you're trying to find something to ask about with every post, which I guess is towny in a vacuum since wolves sometimes have a tendency to post a lot of commentary. I can't say you're out to get anyone in particular at this point in the game. It seems like you're spreading it around evenly lol.

 

I do ask questions too, but I guess we just have a different threshold for finding things to ask about, at least at this point in the game. 

 

I do hope that Darthe responds to you though, and yes, it's weird that he hasn't.

She was more hyper and intense in questioning in the PerC game, yes. But then that's her homesite and she was surrounded by players she plays with a lot. Here I don't think she's familiar with most of us. Maybe the few that have played over at PerC at one time or other or that one game(?) she played here. So I'm not particularly bothered by her not being as "in your face". Gonna give her the space to warm up and see. The way she's asking things, though, seems similar.

It's a slight link but I thought Kat was intentionally ignoring Alanna in order to avoid drawing attention to her. That combined with what I saw as Alanna trying to direct attention away from herself added up to a general protection of Alanna, which could hint at her being a powerful mafia role that they don't want to lose early on. 

 

Of course since then Kat has now explained that she just isn't good at reading Alanna which softens my suspicion somewhat.

And regards Cory, I don't know if he'll have a different answer but in short my read of Cory is generally much better towards end of Day at the moment I'm not ignoring him, but I am purposefully keeping him at null until later. Cory knows me well enough to know this is my approach in general

Good morning! I'm about to do a reread and puy together a reads list. For now I just wanted to mention that I really like this analysis:

Wolf cory doesn't die n1 and doesn't lynch his teammates. Town cory feels townie and may not lunch wolves d1, probably dies n1, and if he doesn't, he goes on to lynch a wolf d2. I thought my comments were fairly self explanatory. Cory doesn't really matter, we're never going to lynch him d1 even if there was a hint he was a wolf so we as might as well not waste time discussing his behavior when he's so self solving.

 

 

Gotta ask, what did you love about this exactly? It's not an analysis. It's purely meta based and it sounds like she's not going to address or asses anything that Cory does because she feels it'll just resolve itself. What she's saying is not incorrect in itself irt his town game...though I haven't seen him enough as scum to know if he'll bus or not (I just know when he was teamed with tiinker he didn't)..... but I still feel like it's a bit of a cop out thing to say and somewhat weird considering her commentary when she first entered the game.

I get scum read a lot these days comparing my current meta to who I used to be is pretty much going to make you people lynch me every game, just FYI, so id suggest taking my most current games and definitely not those played at the beginning of the year/last year.
