Testing a theory on semi automatic vote counts on DM

Do the other sites with auto VC have an archive of the changes or do the MODS just do a VC every so often?

 

 

If the latter then it would just be the same. every so often and then as DL approached or someone got close to lynch then more often.

Other sites with automated vote counter still do all their voting in the thread

 

Basically a bot translates the vote tags into a vote registry and posts sporadic counts on a timed interval set by the game moderator or sometimes by manual request by a mod or a player (or both)

Basically just means using the vote/unvote tags and spelling peoples' handles out fully.

The POG votebot (Fennec Fox) is actually super well designed that it can usually figure out who players are trying to vote by doing a string comparison from vote to player list, so it would accept something like a [v]dice[/v]

 

Problems only occur when people have acroynms (like TheBrokenATM! is called "BATM" but the software doesn't recognize that as a vote for TheBrokenATM!, and this causes problems because BATM gets voted a lot)
