@Mish - remember earlier where you said something earlier about liking to set traps that no one sees and Shad said he could relate? Think about that in conjunction with his vote and statements regarding parked votes. May not have been his intent, but he could be seeing who is paying attention.

My point was instead of viewing someone as scummy for dropping a bogus vote they can potentially sit on, you should wait and see who's sitting on bogus votes.

This is a good catch.

Here's my own thoughts up to this point regarding who's pushed Kivam/Mish:

Based solely on what people have posted up to this point, I'm getting good vibes from Sili and Nyn. They're the only two that I've seen that appear genuine in their pushing against them. I've liked the way that Sili has approached Kivam - he's focused on the misrep of his statements, not what everyone else has been seeing as defensive or scummy from them.

Nyn has been...abrasive in how she's asked some of her questions and given her responses. It's different from what I'm used to seeing, but that isn't a bad thing. I've generally liked the way she's pushed the misrep of Pralaya's meta from Kivam.

Regarding the Kivam/Mish situation: Kivam's vote on Andrej is still a null tell. It's been moved since, and because Mish and Kivam are two heads of the same player, I'm factoring in both halves' actions into my read. I don't agree with the point that Hallia raised that since it wasn't Kivam who moved it, that it looks scummy. I need to refresh myself on that interaction though, because I don't believe she was the only one pushing that angle. I also want to look back and see who's parked their votes in light of what Mish pointed out on Shad. Difference being that Hallia has a reason for voting instead of leaving a policy/joke parked on someone, but I also haven't seen anything outside of that yet.

The points that Sili and Nyn have raised I feel are legitimate. I didn't like the way that Kivam only called out Pralaya when there are other players that hadn't checked in either. The meta part doesn't matter to me - as I've said before, I'm not familiar with a lot of it. Why specifically target one player when there's others that could be prodded as well? I didn't really like Kiv's explanation about that.

Other things that came to mind:

I think it's kind of interesting that Wombat pulled up the post count when he was towards the bottom end of that list. I'm not sure what the point he was trying to make is, but it seems odd that it comes from the same end of the list that people tend to look unfavorably at.

But it does bring me to my next observation. People that I've seen pretty much only fluff from. Or rather, person. That's Lenlo. He did say that he was moving, to be fair, but I would still have hoped to see more when he was here.

So, I'm off to review the first portion of the Kivam piece regarding his Andrej vote. Be back in a bit with what I've found.

Why is so many laying low and being careful?

I feel like I should've seen more from Talya, Lenlo, Wombat, Nolderf, Hallia, Razen, AJ, Snow (has he checked in yet? can't remember)... And I think it's strange that so few have looked outside of me and Kivam. We don't have alot of votes, but I feel like alot of the votes in place right now are just "I'll leave my vote here until a lynch really starts forming". Mafia is having a very easy D1, methinks. I put my foot in my mouth and that's where the focus has been. I liked that Seph was looking elsewhere, but it doesn't seem like anyone else even read his post; even after my vote no-one has commented there. It's lazy IMO. Kiv and I get lynched, flip town, and where's town gonna be then? I think every single person in the game so far has commented that we are suss, but very few has placed a vote so far. And yet no-one is bringing up any other alternatives, so everyone is gonna pile on us when EOD approaches and say "oh yeah they're the scummiest thing all day after all".

I don't like lazy town, makes the job too easy for mafia.

Thought about dropping my joke vote and putting one on Zander for now, remembered they're hydras. Yay!

Put the vote on Zander for a little gut ping that could easily be post-Belichick paranoia. Oddly enough I don't think I'd have bothered clarifying if I hadn't just made the Hallia comments though. Make what you will of that.

Agree on Sili and Nyn in regards to seeming genuine with their pushes on Kiv. Though if you think Nyn being abrasive is unusual then you don't know Nyn very well ;).

I remember playing with Kiv way back and being in awe of how he could manipulate the thread, so I am forcing myself to not get too involved since idk that I can be impartial. I just always want to think he's town and messing with everyone versus having a possible scum slip. I'm letting Cory parce Kiv and also am using Mish to help me in gauging that slot.

The face Wombat made seems more likely to me that he was pointing out the other end - all the posts that Cory and Sili have made already. Because Cory having 70 posts when half the game had under 20 was just 0.0 to me too haha. HOWEVER, I don't like that Womby hasn't seemed to put forth much effort so far. Last time I was on a scum team with him, he was hardly around/interested (Avengers for those of you that have way too much time on your hands and read old games) and it's looking pretty similar to that so far.

So...for how long this game is, it's actually kind of light in content for the first few pages. Made what I was looking for easy. Because I didn't find it - Hallia's the only one really pushing the point that I thought I was looking for. But what I did notice when Hallia made her point was this:

Between the Kiv sass and Mish's defensiveness, that is the way to go for now until I see anything better.

And Zander doing the same thing.

Difference between the two, Zander commits to a vote on Kivam/Mish later on in the thread. He piggybacks Sili to do so, but he has a reason. Laine just seems to be egging it on, but not really wanting to commit to it herself. Her vote's also been parked on Nolder and Darthe for a while. It leads me to believe that she hasn't left the lynch all hydras thing. If I recall, it's why people were pushing Kivam because Laine's was game related and his wasn't. But Kiv/Mish have progressed beyond that, while Laine hasn't yet. Which given that we're now into the content-phase of Day 1 is somewhat alarming.

My other point, Razen, is that both heads are being scummy, something that I find very suspicious. As I said, generally a town slotted hydra could easily have one head being misread (Myself with Nyn as other head for example) but the other head is usually townread. At last, that's my experience.

Really? That's putting a lot of weight behind "If my memory is right, he likes to lurk as scum, and hasn't checked in yet." It wasn't a focus of conversation until other players made it one. If Kivam flips scum I don't think it says anything about Pral let alone other inactives at this point.

Pretty sure I've already explained where I was going with this - it doesn't necessarily mean anything for the alignment. But its a damn good starting point.

I don't get how you find it strange that you and Kiv are the main focus. Especially by now, since it's been commented on and hashed over by so many people. Of course it's going to be a focus for the thread.

I don't remember Seph's case, so I'll have to go back and see what it was.

1st Bold - you answered your own question in your very next sentence. IF you flip town then the analysis goes to who commented, when they commented, if/when they voted, etc. Even being gone for awhile, I feel like you should know this.

I don't find it strange that we are the main focus. But I do find it strange how many players show very little interest/effort in looking outside of us. Right now i do think we are a good D1 lynch; more or less everyone has expressed opinions about us and that's a good starting point for D2. However there also needs to be talk about other people; the more talk there is D1, the better it is for the rest of the game. I know I've been gone a while, so I shouldn't need to tell you that...

I'm doing what I can, but it's hard when I gotta focus on defending my other head at the same time.

I had a quote from Razen here, buttt as you can see the coding got messed up when trying to trim it down and meh. It's on page 37 anyhow. I really liked this post, and Razen is my strongest town read at the moment. He plays exactly as he did in the last game I was with him, and I'm feeling confident here.

1st bold: I felt like I was missing opinions from you on people other than myself. You gave those now, so I'm happy again. I do feel good about you, but I wanted to see more.

I know we only have 3 votes, and I commented on the fact that at the moment we do not have alot of votes. And I'm not fearmongering, I'm stating facts. Everyone and their grandma has expressed suspicioun about either me or Kivam. We're the obvious lynch today, otherwise we'll be under constant scrutiny the rest of the game and no-one will trust us and we'll be a distraction. But I do wish people would at least also try to talk about others, because as I said to Key above, the more conversation there is D1, about the broadest range of people, the better. Do you disagree?

Fwiw I don't have feelings about Wombat one away another this game, besides finding his multiqyotes worthless. Yates did the same thing last night - quote and reply to posts that don't mean much of anything towards solving the game. Not sure its more than null for Wombat in one way or the other.
