I have felt out of my depth in this game, so many new things. I will be doing  few smaller games I think.

 

It looks a little like the town team didn't stand a chance from the beginning, Not sure about the balance. But we didn't have much hope when Yates died and Krak went AWOL.

 

But it was enjoyable even if I was taken in by Pizza (hat's off to you sir).

 

I was drawing towards AJ and my early instincts were right, I always talk myself out of it.

 

Sorry WK, I so thought you were scummy.

I KNEW IT--AJ was mafia!!! Oh that was bugging me THE WHOLE GAME 

 

Oi. This reminded me how much I miss mafia but the original reason I quit--I just don't have the time to focus on it o.O 

Sorry for my spotty play this whole game guys :/ But btw, the mistakes I made I would have made as town too. That was a me, not a me-as-mafia thing :P

Anyway

 

Having our Day ending ability that got Yates.1 killed was extremely hurtful to town imo. After I saw that flip I can't express how relieved I was. That sort of power would've narrowed down the suspect pool in a hurry. Another thing in particular I liked about the set up was the dual nature of the Brown Goo role that became a pseudo scum vote stealer towards end game when everyone else was vanilla. It's also a pretty interesting investigative role when used in that function.

Talya I thought you played really well. I contemplated to my team killing you N1 because I told them I felt you were playing really townie and would probably not be lynched later. We ended up checking you later, but that was due to Pizza selling the crap out of his claim and having to adjust my read on the game accordingly

I'm only scum in Darthe's bigger games. Except Red Wedding but I think that was just Cory's charisma forcing the planets to align so that CrayJay became a thing.

 

I think of all his smaller ones I played in I have only rolled VT.

When I skimmed a bit through the game I had Tina, AJ and Cass down as scum instantly. Verbal, Lee, dice and EP as town. I didn't delve much in the game beyond that. I also didn't realize it was a multifactional game with 8 scum until it was pointed out to me a bit later. I think the scummy I really didn't make at all was Hallia. The others became more apparent as the game progressed and the pool of players started to dwindle.

Also--Pizza was SOOO scummy the whole game. I don't know how he convinced all of you for so long! though maybe I just picked up on the signs more since I was on his team.

ALSO just to address the drama for a second:

 

 

I was on Pizza's team. It hurt us when he left the game, but I respect Darthe's decision and I can definitely see why he made it. I got that Pizza was pulling a huge gambit, but we also need to respect the rules as laid down by the mod. RESPECT is something that we hold in very high regard here on DM, and that includes respect of those of higher rank or in staff positions. Within a mafia game, a mod is in a position of authority, and the decisions made within that position are to be respected as well. They can be argued, but this can be done so respectfully. This is in the Code of Conduct, and it can get members banned--I've seen it happen. I've made it happen. 

It was a sticky situation, and Darthe made the decision he did. This is not something that needs to be life changing.

I liked the balance of this game based on my glance over of all of the roles. I actually don't think giving town a vig does anything to help town; they're just as likely to shoot team members as they are mafia, even if they have pretty good instincts. Town's reads are wrong a lot of the time. You definitely had a lot of interesting goals in this game...

 

I liked it. It'd be interesting to see different ways that the set up could be played out...

One of the things that caught my eye specifically was I think you pointing out that Tina misquoted someone while trying to make a point and saying that if she was really convinced she was correct, she would have quoted the right post ..... and I was thinking the whole time..... there's no way AJ says something this dense as town    LMFAO

Firebird--you're a good player, just calm down. Definitely had your first incarnation as town. The second one yes I questioned a bit, but replacing people is always hard.

It actually occurred to me at some point during playing that it would be really entertaining to read a game modded by DPR where the players include Yates, Pizza, Darthe, Mynd and BG (ALL OF THE GAMBITS) and also players like Verbal, dice, AJ, maybe Firebird. Throw in other fun players from here and other sites. It would just be fun. XD some of those names may not be around anymore. Are BG and Mynd still playing?

I'm the only one I've ever seen do this and this was my first time doing it. I've seen wolves alternating kills and I've seen wolves that kill the other teams get that teams Nk but the 2/3 thing or anything similar was unique to this scenario. Post game i happen to not be found of it either, though I suspect that it could be valuable if the game had been less one sided.
