A Tale of Middle Earth: Game OVER

Long ago in a part of the Earth few men remember and less have visited there was light and with that light came darkness.  Often the two would remain separate but, on occasion, they would meet in a frenzy of discord, the light growing so bright as to try and obscure the darkness.  However, the darkness only grew sharper in contrast to the light.  

 

From this discord grew shadow and all creatures, both mortal and immortal, were cast with one.  Then the servants of Eru raised up and seemingly smote the great shadow and all of his followers, leaving scant traces behind that harbored the darkness like a secret.  Yet the shadows of elves and men and all others remained, silently fading into regularity.  Ages past in silence until once more a shadow was cast over the land, the shadow of a great storm that brewed on the horizon.

 

It was then that old tongues began to remember and old eyes once more saw the truth that they struggled so long to forget.  Ancient manuscripts were unturned and truths were uncovered that had been long lost.  The shadow was again vanquished and yet it was known that it would not remain gone.  

 

The manuscripts foretold Dagor Dagorath, the Final Battle.
