Nol said at the time what Verb had said was the scummiest thing he'd seen.  How was this now? I see it as way scummier, and Tina agreed.  Glad to say that Cory's redeemed himself in these latter pages, but seriously.

 

Also:  Nolder wasn't posting.  Nyn says something about his not posting (To him and me specifically.)  He retorts with an 'oh sorry internet etc'  and then jumped on me.

 

Two things.

1. I don't really like Cory setting up as town leader but it's usually inevitable that someone does. I feel like there's always one person being sensible while everyone else derps around so they're forced to try to lead the herd whether they want to or not. I'm going to cautiously accept it for now.

2. Hallia you're losing it. Need a post ASAP and not just a short oh sorry vote blahblah because I agree with blah. Give thoughtful detailed post that shows you're following along and have a real assessment of the game please.

It´s a strange Krak - Nolder - Verb triangle. Nolder didn´t like Verbs answer on Krak´s joke vote and then Verb joke voted Krak but kept his vote since he didn´t like how Krak followed up. I have two posts by Nolder that I will try to find because they looked weird.

I've tried to get my thoughts out there, with a read list that reflected my feelings at the time. I'm pretty much positive that Cory is town. He, knowing me pretty well, I think would've blueread me in order to get me in his corner as scum. I think wolffish is town due to their thread play and the early situation with Cory. I've stated why I think Dice and Tina are town. I've stated why I think Nolder is scum. I'm leery of Krak, primarily gut feel on him. Gun to head is say Yates is town.

For the record - I've played with town Mish and I've played with scum Mish. This in pretty positive is town Mish. I miss playing with you <3

Share some of your hydra thoughts in here where we should be seeing them. Let me actually see your frustration if you are hiding it.

 

You can't blame me for ~misreading you if your take on the game is being hidden in a QT where I can't see it and it's wholly possible you could be frustrated in your QT and still be Mafia.

 

 

FTR I would rather see a list from each hydra than one list from both hydra.  It allows town an insight into the hydramind as it informs gameplay and POV

Tina - inquisitive, seems like she is on her town game.

Verbal - his posting style and what he's questioning has me leaning town on him.

Wolfish - Mish has her claws out and Kronos hasn't gone and completely turtled.

 

Null leans

Barm - Been debating null/town with Barm, but I'd like to see more from him before finding him a spot by the fire.

Cory - started out differently than I'm used to, almost tipping the scales in town.

Dice - moving more towards town with his play, but he doesn't get a free pass for mentioning 9-1.

Yates - need to see more from Yates. Need some stances.

Nolder - started off with a weird vote, meh reasoning to explain it, followed up by some tunneling.

Town Leans

Tina - Proactive, analytical, motivated. Most of her posts make sense to me. I'm not seeing the scummy laid back passive Tina here. So I'm getting a generally good feeling from her.

Wolfish - I like Kronos' posts and I think the way he carries himself says it all. He doesn't have much of a wolf range. Mish is being fierce and standing her ground. Both of them are giving me a townie vibe.

Cory - I raised my eyebrow a bit at the quiet Cory when the game started, but after observing he slid right into what I consider his townie play. Not ready to lockclear him yet, but he can be green for now.

 

 

Null Leans

Dice - Kinda unsure. He's usually a very scummy townie or a very scummy scummy. Right now he's kinda null to me.

Yates - Kinda bothered me when he went a couple of times all 'I can't believe you're reading me as null' both at us and someone else. And there was the little tif between him and Cory which I'm attributing to lingering issues from a different game. I kinda got a v/v feel from the exchange. But I need to see more before I'm comfortable enough to bump him to my town leans.

Barm - Never played with him before. He seems semi involved with the game but he hasn't really said anything to note, for better or worse. Would like to see more.

Verbal - I just can't tell lol But he hasn't done anything pingy that I've seen so there's that. 

 

Scum leans

Nolder - For reasons stated in quite a few of my previous posts. He's not making sense to me at all.

Krak - I don't think I've ever seen Krak play this way. While I appreciate him posting more, I'm not a fan of the nature of his posts. There's a lot of directing other people and asking questions, while not sharing his thoughts. And generally trying to push weak FoSes.

Hallia - Mostly gutread. I get that she has RL issues, but even when she caught up it felt kinda without. I'm also not a fan of her bringing up the Wednsday joke as she was casting a vote on Nol. Kinda wondering if she was bussing.

But it sounds like you're only beef is with how Nolder has played wrt your hydra.  If that's the case then why haven't I seen you interact with anyone except me and  Eric HNolder and verb?

 

I think you need to understand that beyond the game thread Leelou and I talk amongst ourselves in the QT a lot. In the game thread I called out what seemed out of place to me. What I mentioned in my previous post was just the stuff that came to mind, but I've done more than that and I'm not a fan of you implying that I haven't. I don't know if I talked to EVERY single player in the game, but with some of them just observing their interactions with others was enough for me to get a feel if they're following a town agenda. Off the top of my head, Tina is a good example. I don't think we've talked so far but most of her posts make sense to me and at this stage, that's all I need.

 

But you know what? I'll humor you. Here's an ISO of what I've done in the game so far.

I quoted Mish's post where she tells Cory that sweetalking her won't do to be town read, which I liked. 

Some more fluff when Verbal shamed himself with not knowing in 1.5 seconds who that character was in the Jurasic Park gif.

I agree with Kronos that Nolder's vote on Verbal was pretty bad and then I give a detailed explanation why I personally don't like everything in that post.

 

Then low and behold, Krak shows up and says he "doesn't like how we're defending Verbal and proddng people about Nolder but sitting with a vote on Verb". First of all our vote was on Krak, not Verbal. Secondly there is basically no part in my post where I was defending Verbal. I can sorta get how this could be inferred. Sorta. But my beef with Nolder wasn't specifically WHO he was voting for, but rather that the reason behind his vote made ZERO sense to me. And when someone throws out a vote in a serious stance and the reasons don't hold up.... then I can't help but wonder if this is really a derping town or a wolfy howling. 

 

Now as Lee stated, her vote on Krak right after Verbal is one of those jokey things she does with Verbal in games. Don't really get it. Don't really care. Whatever makes her happy. Then it turned into a serious vote once Krak started showing his true colors. Now he can try to throw dirt on us for me FOSing Nolder and voting him.... but when I FOSed Nolder I'm pretty sure he had one post. I was being fair and waiting for him to show and post more and expand. Once he did it still felt iffy. Did I want to switch our vote to Nolder? Kinda. But I talked it out with Leelou and she felt more sure of Krak so I rolled with it. Nolder isn't going anywhere and there's always tomorrow. Or there's the off chance that Nolder will redeem himself if we start to see some pro-town play coming from his way. Which I frankly haven't so far.

 

In any case....

 

Krak asked for my town reads. I told him it's a bit too soon for me as far as reads go. So I gave my general impressions. That I'd like to see Hallia and Nolder post more (both of which had 1 post at this point). I mentioned my lack of familiarity with Barm (which Lee makes up for, fortunately). I mentioned my good feeling from both Kronos and Mish in regards to their respective posts. And that I like that Tina is being inquisitve. I also added that it's good to see Krak more active. I think that the fact that he's usually inactive make it impossible to read him. And I also mentioned that it's odd that Cory has been quiet. But that didn't last long anyhow. Oh and I also took note that dice going YOLO and saying the forbidden number isn't really telling imo.

 

Nolder shows and says he had internet problems. I say fair enough. I point out that I disagree about something being off about Cory taking the lead... because lol. I think it was a weak thing to say. Kind of a subtle push but at the same time saying he's going to cautiously accept it for now. Which makes me go eh. To double check that Cory is always at the spot light regardless of alignment, thereby rebutting Nolder's point, I asked Cory for some links to his scum games, considering I've mostly seen him as town, and it was kind of a head scratcher for him why I was doing it. 

 

Then Yates asked me for links to my mafia games. I provided my recent two.

 

A few more exchanges with Cory where he thinks I'm taking an interest in him. When in fact I was trying to show that Nolder was full of it.

 

I let everyone know that I'm talking things out with Lee on the QT and that we'll be posting our lean list soon.

I correct Yates when he mentions that dice is more likely to be town because he went ahead and risked saying the forbidden number. I give him examples of both town and scum doing this before so I don't think it clears anyone. I actually touched this previously when I mentioned dice.

And then there's the whole string of posts with Nolder about our combined list which had me scratching my head most of the time. I didn't really understand what he was getting at but it just didn't make sense to me.

 

Then Krak picked up on this topic and said a combined list is not good in his opinion. So Lee and I provided our seperate read lists.

 

 

 

In a nutshell, I feel like maybe I haven't been as invested and focused as I usually am, due to various circumstances, but I feel like I have been pulling my weight and scumhunting.

Honestly I just don't get it.

 

Leelou and I have been talking in the hydra QT since about the first second of the game. We've made our observations. We didn't see eye to eye on every single player but to the most part we saw the same things because whenever something seemed off, we would point it out and talk about it amongst ourselves.

 

We've shared our read list on thread. Then we shared our individual read lists even though I personally didn't get the request. But w/e. We did. Considering we have been assessing the game together from the get go I don't understand why some of you can't fathom us having similar reads. 

 

I honestly don't have anything more to add. I've made myself as transparent as I possibly could. If we get mislynched then I can walk away from the game knowing that I did my best to clear myself and that's that.

Vetinari was troubled. It was difficult to know this unless you knew him extremely well, and, well, nobody did, the burdens of living in a democracy where you hold the only vote. It had been several years since the alchemists had used Holy Wood magic to accidentally open a portal to the Dungeon Dimensions, and even the wizards who regularly almost blow up the Discworld had been quiet for a while. The trouble with the gonne had been months ago, and that stuff when the heroes had tried to blow up the Gods had ended with a fizzle rather than a bang.

 

Still troubled he took a walk through the gardens, pausing at the Scorpion Pits to look at the bones of the mime artists. Even the large signs simply stating "Learn the Words" couldn't make him feel better.
