Yes...but what do we do with that information? What would be anyone's given goal right now?

I believe non town has an edge where they can manipulate discussion to sew distrust and rivalries before the game has even really started.

Why make that easy for them? This is obviously going to be a long game filled with pages and pages of gameplay. Do we need to take this time to meta read and reaction test each other? Ask yourself if you're town if you think you're really gaining something here. Do you have a better grasp on who's who or is it all just as confusing as before?

I'd second the vig shot recommendation. I don't like these posts either. We haven't even started yet, as you've pointed out, and it's doom and gloom for town? Smells like fear mongering to me. Okay, nol everyone is stupid amd we'll all stop having fun and trying to pick up as much information as possible amd jusy.... follow your expert lead? You went for cautious town and came across as super scum.

The first glance is looking at all of the powers in the scum qt.

"Yeah, Drones," exclaimed Clyde, scratching under his scruffy chin, "those ARE aliens!"

 

Percy raised his fist in the air, "Why, I outta..." 

 

Meanwhile, a few yards away, a woman in a full black leather jumpsuit pulled her motorcycle over to a stop.  "This is Calvary to base.  Calvary to base.  I'm here at the crash site, if you would call it that.  I drove around pot holes bigger than this on my way here."

 

A very familiar voice responded, "What is your assessment, Melinda?"

 

The fit, Asian woman removed her helmet and slid a tiny device under the left handlebar.  Instantly, the vehicle disappeared as she approached the crater.   The two men were still arguing.  Melinda May pulled out what looked like a cell phone and began scanning.  "The symbiote is gone, Director."  She scanned the park for threats.  "By now, its safe to assume its found a host." 

 

A dark skinned man in found clothing watched the two men arguing near the crater with his one good eye.  Somehow, he felt the world was a bit safer with useful fools like them arguing over something a lot more evil than they realize.  It was the Asian woman in black leather that piqued his interest further.  Lowering his tinted glasses, he watched her scan the area.  She was one of the few people on the planet who knew he was still alive, but he couldn't reach out to her now.  It would expose them both and right now, with the tragedy at Lanthirrhos, it is best for the whole world that Nick Fury remain dead. 

 

At least, for now.

Telling everyone they should relax and have some fun until the game actually starts? Is that really worth shooting someone over? Right now I have no scum reads on anyone, why should I, so I'm assuming that any given player is town. To me it looks really bad that townies are so ready to shoot each other over...nothing. I thought it was funny in an ironic way because last avenger game I was scum and town had it's shit together.

Now, to me, it looks like that's not the case and I'm town.

Hey guess what  Regardless of whether you think the "actual game" starts when serious voting begins, or when people have their role PMs and start posting in the thread, early gameplay usually involves casing people on really minor evidence or meta tells or voting based on gut feelings.  Until we have a couple of flips to work from for solid evidence, you always have to start with "relatively nothing", then get reactions to that "relatively nothing", and decide what you think of those reactions.  Yes, the dawn phase "waste of time" as you put it will color our opinions because it's in the thread, and it's gameplay.

 

 

If town needs to "get its shit together" we start somewhere.  Your attitude is the least pro-town I've seen so far, so that's where I'm starting.
