I kind of leaned back and observed for a bit there, since it seemed day 1 was all banter (getting into it... Nicholas Cage-gif helped!) and meta (which I have no knowledge base to base any meta on). Seems like everything got a bit more real and intense for the last two-three pages so I'll catch up and then see if I re-vote. *deep inhale*

Not sure what my opinion on Hoof is, I'll have to take a look back through the thread in a few hours when I get home to decide.

 

As for Leelou's crying Doctor I think it's just a rouse to get people to change their vote. She has played Mafia for a while now and would know that the mafia would want to single out the doctor first to eliminate the chance for a saved life and increase their odds of winning the game.  Of course if she were Mafia they would probably not kill her and claiming to be the doctor might make us change our minds for a round or two.  The real question will be whether they would dare kill one of their own since, if she survives the night, it would pretty much set her up as mafia. If she were town I doubt she would go as far as claiming to be the doctor just to avoid a lynch so Mafia seems like the only current choice for her IMO.

I would have waited to say this until day two but want to get my opinion out there in case the mafia kills me off for being one of the few actually hunting them off from the start.

I'm gonna chalk those up to newb posts. Sorry for being scarce but I knew DL was today and needed to check in. I'm traveling currently and will only have my phone to post with until Sunday at the earliest but I will try to make it count when I can get on.

 

Allowing that Leelou is the Doc, she could choose to self-protect during Night so her surviving to D2 doesn't implicate her by any means. The mafia would also know that she could do so and likely would look elsewhere for their NK.

 

That said I'm not a big fan of the Hoof wagon considering how it started. Leelou is Doc so I'm not gonna vote there. I'm liking Peace for Town so far. There's something about his exchange with Ishy that stood out to me. I can't quote it though :dry:

I think this is a good place to start. I've seen a few mention how him not calling Leelou for her buddying is odd and I can see the scum motivation for allowing a Town player to solidify a connection to you like that. DL is in 6 hours? I'll check in later and consolidate if need be but given Leelou's claim and the basis of Hoof's lynch I think we need to vote in another direction.

Well, us outting the doc on day 1 is kind of crap....

Looks like you guys only have time to Lynch me.... so you should probably get onto that. Get at least some info from my town flip.

 

 

@Des: I agree that I am trying to stay alive a bit more- I was too resigned to my fate in the Catan game, I wanted to do things differently this time, to fight death.

 

@Nikon: I like your enthusiasm, but the general reaction when someone claims a power role is to not vote them for now- if she is lying, the real doc can counterclaim when he or she wants to, so it is a risky move to make as mafia.

If she is telling the truth, then she has a choice to make each night- protect herself, or protect others. The mafia will be uncertain as to which she will pick, they want to kill her, but they dont want to waste their kill.

That situation is what we call Wine In Front Of Me (WIFOM) in reference to the poisoned wine scene in The Princess Bride. (you know, "I know you know that I know that you know, etc).

Yeah we have a deadline tomorrow and half the players are not posting and the other half are posting fluff... Great.

wombat has reversed his meta again which is a bad sign.  as town the past year he has been an aggressive scum hunter.

Town players manipulate their meta all the time, usually due to having a pr. Your post is a load of fail.

WTL either Leelou it Hoof. I think both are teammates. Not sure on anyone else (although there are a few I have townie leans on), but I don't feel there will be any better options today. Both look like obvious scum to me.

 

This is garbage.  Not only was Despo's case on Leelou a load of crap, but right here, he pretty much states that he's hedging the two biggest lynch candidates for the rest of the day.  You know who like to do that?  Scum.

I'm at work now...so I'll be around to hammer if needed.  If an Ishy train built real fast...I'd be all over it.

Looking for more town cred? Pretty stupid statement imo. Now, if your list of players are all town and you are town then you just gave yourself up as a kill target that implicates those 3 players. Thus increasing the odds of a mislynch the next day while providing scum a great excuse for mislynching someone.

 

Yeah..I doubt you would make a play that poorly as town. Wombat is scum. I'll vote him too as well if anyone wants to run him up.

Youre a NK target all the time anyways when town, you warning about being NK'ed just looks to me like you trying to look more townie. The kind of blatant scumtell you'd call others for you fall prey to as well apparently.

 

Hoof's reaction did seem pretty meh. He's prob town. But I don't think scum "won" by getting him lynched. It really didn't seem like a joke vote to me, and its silly to try and disguise a joke vote that much, bound to end up making you look bad. And if there was a better lynch today, it couldn't be found cause we spent too much of it dicking around.

"I got this, I know exactly what I'm doing," Hoof said as he drank. When the others questioned him and just how he knew he just kept on rambling. "It's easy really. When you're as good as I am you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!" He laughed and threw back another beer. "Maybe you know because you're friend's with the enemy!" came an angry reply. The more Hoof spoke the less sense he made, though that didn't stop him from drinking. (Gotta stick to our strengths right?) Hoof stood up and said the the crowd, "You can trust me to shoot them down and to lead you to victory!" They knew this guy was not the one to lead them so they put him on the shuttle to the circuit board and shot him on his way out.

 

 

Hoof, Markowski, the drunk soldier from Hero's Duty, Vanilla Town has been lynched.
