Announcement to my mafia games: My internet has been cut off, and my phone is cut off too, so I only have acess on my husbands phone until monday. This means I'll not be able to get on as much, since he has work, and I can't occupy his phone all the time when he's home.

So my changing avatar will have to wait until Monday. I will do it though, I promise, that's what getting stubborn get you

He's done nothing to lessen my bad feel on him since last Day... I'd also very much like to see how competing trains between him and Tress play out.

A sure thing or best guess?

Quit sputtering and say something useful.

@ BG - why ur case on Tress lack any mention of her vote and pressure and FoS's on me?   odd that you'd "over look" her points at me in your cse, given their part of her most recent actions.

I feel like I've been around for more than just defending myself (although ironically I can't respond to this without it being a defense).

well that's not how you come across to me *shrugs*

Not Bob.  slight ping.  your a JNer, this game is inactive compared tot he ones there.  your silence is scummy.

Players must adapt their tactics to the environment.  If I attempt to play the style used on JN, I appear over-aggressive and it allows others here to fall into the background.

I will try to pick up the pace in this game.  I liked your cases on Despo and Tress but not necessarily on BG.

Vote Tress

Personal note:  Always admired your game and wished you would play at JN more often.

why tress?

what about my BG case don't you like?

re-JN, i'd love to play there but right now I can barely keep up with this game *sadface*  perhaps after the wedding i'll finally grow a set and come play with the big boys ^_^

^ this.  you've outted yourself Mish, no need to be close to the chest with your findings.  not outing the players you look at, but a clear "yeah didn't find scum" would be nice.

don't ignore my posts Darthe!  answer my questions.

We have an entire day to ourselves and I want to use it to the fullest.

Also I've found that GF usually speaks up with a little prodding.  I do love when he plays mafia.

Yates, Pral, CS, and GF aren't participating and while I don't usually agree with lynching inactives, maybe a prod will get things going.

@Red - I wasn't analyzing every single thing she'd done. Just a general overview and her opinions on you didn't seem relevant to the point I was making. That 7-8 posts I mentioned that were direct scum hunting but with a healthy dose of defense included her thoughts on you. Her vote on you feels a little similar to her worries against Key actually. Both you and Key mentioned something she did that was "interesting" or otherwise suspicious and she's turned around quite defensively at both of you eventually ending with thinking you are scum. Basically OMGUS drawn out over time.

ah okay, seems legit.

thought you were avoiding her part on me, cause i'm voting you and yer skerd of my total awesomeness

@Red, well maybe you should reread .  Also, wasn't trying to defend you, was trying to state how I didn't/don't agree with Des.  Moreover, I pointed out the quote was because I thought it was shady of him to try and make someone look suspicious when he was the one wrong.  It just happened to be you that he was trying to cast suspicion on.

RTE, you said you had thoughts come day?

Darthe, you actually going to play now that your Mafia Champions game is over?

I'm curious about Mish's vote too.

I'm comfortable with voting Tress; I'm still suspicious of her.  Her continued overreactions and then "just in case" explanation of why she was voting an outlier so close to a deadline don't sit right with me.

If I find mafia during the night, I'll tell you clearly. I've got two townies so far, but I have no intention of saying wich ones unless they come under risk of being lynched.

Posted

thing is Mish, I don't make assumptions.  as a proclaimed finder, if you vote someone generally people assume you found that person as scum.

which is why I ask that you state if you did or didn't find scum at night.

it just helps to make everything clear imo, so everyone is on the right page.  they have a saying about people who assume

not sure what to think of this Tress train.  a lot of the votes seem lazy band wagon imo.    we need to get a 2nd, even 3rd train started for info people.  this is twice now we've had a "rush last minute and change trains" thing going on.

Sorry for being absent folks. I'm not helping much as a replacement so far, am I?

TBH, I couldn't even catch up fully yet (managed to do a half catch-up on wednesday, but little to no time since) and I'm not sure when I'll be able to. Working on saturday, have a program taking most of sunday. Will try to read up tomorrow.

I have no reason to doubt Mish's cop claim. I don't like the small nudges at her to reveal more.

I know that she's an experienced player and thus she would know when to speak up (with a guilty or an innocent read). So yea, the scumhunt should proceed.

I don't like these posts in particular.

mish i think you should say what u have found. what happens if u die?4 We have confirmed townies but dont know it

1) Well, why is that wrong?

2) Fish more? You don't know whom to go after?

3) Why should everyone be on the right page?

4) That's a valid point (risk and reward). But she has the whole day to share her views if she wills.

TL;DR: Revealing info as a cop limits interactions and helps maffia (they are well-informed already, why tell them who are in the clear & who is guilty).

Yes, the cop has to give their information sometime, but they should have a good reason for that as it has advantages and disadvantages at any time.

Posted

the advantage is that TOWN knows who they can trust. Mafia already knows*

the disadvantage of course is u may paint a bullseye on them as mafia dont like confirmed town

Yea the maffia already knows, which actually makes it harder for them to hide. They know too much, makes it easier to slip up. Also, what they don't know is which townies will be trusted by town, you see.

Posted

The main point being here is that town don't need to know that to hunt (at least not early/middle game), while maffia do need to know to be able to form better strategies.

Posted

I agree that competing trains is good for town. I suggest if people are going to be lazy with their votes, at least use them to create competing wagons rather than one large one.
