Also, in reference to your comment on Darthe's post.  I don't think mafia ever trade 1 for 1 with a VT.  But with a doc...maybe.  That's the whole contention here.  Do we believe that Ithi would do that?  I know I wouldn't on Day 1.  Maybe day 3 with a full team of scum alive. 

two things.

 

First, you yourself said that it would be a poor play to trade 1 for 1. even for a Doc. Look at it this way. If cloud really is the Doc he is pretty much gonna have to self protect until the cop is outed. This allows the mafia to still hunt the cop at night. So the doc is basically nullified as far as the mafia are concerned. Then once the cop is out then it is a WIFOM situation. Do you think Ithi is not a smart enough player to realize this?

 

Second, Ithi was in no danger of being lynched so why take the chance that she could end up getting lynched before the claimed Doc on the odds that she MIGHT get him lynched. Better to pick someone else and lead a lynch on them. There are enough other candidates and plenty of time to make it happen.

 

Bottom line is that it doesn't make sense for Ithi to cc as mafia in this case. I doubted Cloud before his claim and I still doubt his veracity in light of being cc'ed. I doubted him the last time he claimed Doc but I waited for a cc that never came cause there was no doc in that game. (also none of the other PRs that could have vetted him ever looked) Call me foolish but I am trusting my instincts in this case.

The young detective drew closer towards the yawning black mouth of the alley... His fellow officers had drawn back, now making their way slower behind him, as though they did not want to enter. The blood here was thicker, the light shimmering off of it in a peculiar way. The smell was almost unbearable but the detective knew he was close.

 

Suddenly, the light of the flashlight finally caught on something... A body. As the detective approached it he had to stop from gagging. He saw that the body had been desecrated, large slashes around the throat and top of the chest... leaving the throat seemingly torn out and exposed to the night air. Alas, he doubted that the person had any peaceful final breaths. He saw two large holes under the corpse's left breast. Gunshot wounds, right to the heart. So clean and distinct in comparison to the wild and savage slashing seen on other parts of the body.

 

The detective then shone the light towards the victim's face. His light caught and gleamed off of something. The detective drew closer, now holding his arm with the flashlight across his mouth and nose to avoid gagging because of the smell. Teeth. Sharp, pointed canine teeth.

 

The detective swore under his breath.

Yes..I agree with this part.  But she went all emotional with multiples erratic posts after stating she was going to bed.  That gave me pause to consider.

RTE..any chance you can make it a 24 hour night phase instead of 48?

I considered it but as a Basic game and given I wasn't sure who the players would be I made it 48. If everyone is fine with 24, and only if everyone is ok with that, I will change it. Sorry if this is inconvenient, I was very close to making it 24.

I was catching up earlier, wanted to comment but I had company and ran out of time in the toilet. Cloud was the easy choice here tho, basically for the reasons Turin stated. In a basic game with a relatively small amount of players, numbers are more important to mafia than PR's. It hi CCing as mafia wouldn't have made any sense, especially with Andrej's claim backing it up.

 

Dap and Peace are obvious candidates for Cloud's teammates now for the whole "acting cautious" parade. Dap usually wouldn't be so obvious, but he himself said recently why not play meta to your advantage? I could EASILY see one of them being a teammate of Cloud. Nighty night y'all.

24 is fine by me, DM standard, and overall better for game health.  It promotes activity because you require players to post once per day anyhow which means that they should be on and able to work in this time.  Any mafia team worth their salt should be more so.

I really hope you never get the Doc-role for real Cloud, because everyone is gonna policy lynch you when you claim Doc from here on out lol.
