Great episode. Not a lot of action, but I felt nearly every scene was very well executed. Even having to jump to many different plotlines, the actors were still able to play their parts and let their characters breathe. I hear episodes three and four will really pick up the pace for those who need that, and the show likely won't slow down for the rest of the season.

yeah, we generally have been using spoiler tags for future plot stuff in the otehr threads. but no harm reminding people if your gonna get too spoilery

@ Cindy - yes get HBO, or you could, you know read the series

Guess now is the time to make a new one for this season.

My initial thoughts:

Ygritte is still hot as hell. That is all.

Yes. Yes she is.

Thought the episode kinda blew actually.

But I'm really only in it for both weddings.

that and when Danny gets her unsullied *grins*  and

when the guy takes a shit in front of the 2nd city and she sends the bear and the old guy into the sewers in the 3rd city

*cackles*

last episode was good.  i especially loved the part between Tyrion and Tywin, the foreshadowing there was brilliant imo.  the play between margerie and Joff was outstanding, though i do believe their builing Marg's character out to be too saintly imo  loved manace!  though i expected him to have a thicker beared.

my only point of contention comes with Sam.  first off, Ghost is supposed to be with Jon so how could Ghost have been there to help save Sam.  2nd is Sam didn't need saving, he was supposed to kill that Walker!

in other news, i'll be refering to the zombie ice people as Walkers from here on out, deal with it

The books are very good. My second favorite book series, but it can get tedious every now and then when you don't like specific characters. I fuarking hate Catelyn, Cersei, and Sansa. But what really pushed me over the edge, aka the reason I stopped midway in ADwD was Bran. So damn boring. I assume he's going to become one of the most powerful characters in the book, but where I left off his character development was so slow.

I rather enjoyed his, couldn't get enough of it...

And I swear his story is a good... freaking year or two behind others!

The Tyrion/Tywin scene was utterly brilliant.

Loving the conflict starting between Margaery and Cersei.

Good episode, but I can't wait for next week to see the rest of the characters we missed.

Brienne whipping Jamie's ass was awesome. Pretty boy Lannister got bitch slapped. Love that ugly girl, my favorite character in the series easily.

She's still to pretty in the show, versus the novels.... she should be a bit.. heavier. Not just tall.

True, but I doubt they could have found someone as ugly as she's supposed to be to play her. The Imp is supposed to be way uglier too. And sans a nose.

Jaime just seems like a completely terrible swordsman in the series, I wouldn't be surprised if show-only watchers just thought he was all talk and no game. He's much weakened from being kept a prisoner for so many months. Brienne's good, don't get me wrong, but Jaime was at a severe disadvantage.
