I really hate do this but I'm going to have to place my vote.

Hallia's case against Cloud wasn't very solid(essentially saying Cloud was bandwagonning with a weak case, but at the time he was the only person to really put any thought into his vote), and his vote was for Tina. Tina at the time was flippy floppy with voting(no offense), and highly likely to be to be lynched. This to me could mean that Hallia seen her partner in trouble and wanted to save the "day". However, in attempt to do that throws a shadow upon her. She tried to keep things light and sail back under the radar. It's easy to say this is a Newbie Move, I however don't think that's what it is. She plays familiar with most of you here.

Also, in addition to the fact that there has not been a "night" yet, there is no way to really prove anyone inno. So this bigger picture just rubs me the wrong way.

I agree with ya Kira, it does look pretty suspicious.  I just went with my gut.  I'm comfortable saying I'm still a bit of a newbie, but it's still no excuse.  I am town.  I also think it'd be really easy for mafia to take advantage of my slip and easily vote for me.

The fact that there hasn't been a big rush to pile on to you indicates to me that scum wants no part of your train. Opportunistic scum will look for any excuse to hide themselves within what is, a pretty easy to justify train. So why aren't the mafia jumping onboard? Two reasons that I can see, one, you're scum yourself and they hope to save you somehow. Two, they're already onboard what is another easy to justify train, Tina's. So the question I raise is which of the two seems more likely to in this particular scenario? I have to conclude that it's the former, and I'll be honest, it's totally for meta reasons. The so-called scummy play from Tina is the exact same play seen from her time and again, it's what she does and therefore a null-tell for me. You, however, have never looked scummy in a game to me before, so again, I ask myself why so different this time? I can only conclude that you're mafia and your teammates are hiding in Tina's train. Should anyone decide to follow me, I'll be looking closely at who leaves Tina's train for any obvious bussing tells.

i kinda agree with ishy.  that doesn't happen often. of course...i'm very drunk right now...

That explains everything.

Just got home from work, going to read back through while I eat dinner.

See? If everyone played drunk all the time too, then my Drunk Mafia™ would make perfect sense all the time.

I have a difficult time making judgements on day 1 most of the time, and like you I am still learning what people's styles are.

Unvote. Vote Tina.  I'm finding this to be weak. Tress always joke votes Ishy to start off, so this is a null tell. For you to use it in your case is reaching hard, and I don't see why you're calling attention to it.

Interesting that Tress tie herself to Ishy that way. First the friendly "joke vote" and then she leaves his train that was the largest at the moment and move her vote to me (without a real reason) and make my train the largest.

However, if this is true, then that pings a bit.  I've not done many games with the two of them together, but I'm betting Basel has.

I've already made my comment that Basel's mild defense here pinged me... Hallia piggybacking on Basel's reasoning here to cast suspicion on Tina definitely pings.

I was planning on unvoting after seeing some responses to my vote but Tina's self vote has me wondering a bit.   It creates a ton of wifom.

I agree that Tina's self vote creates a lot of wifom. At first I only saw it as a funny joke, but she seems to do the same thing to Ishy in a later post:

>I just want to shake this game. Unvote.  Vote Ishy. Why? Well, why not. He hasn´t done anything but spammed so far and he already have two votes.

OMG! I´m the first one who have put the third vote twice now. :D

blockquote>

This might be seen as just kickstarting the game, but it comes of a bit forced to me. It's like she desperately wants to show everyone that she is town by placing a third vote on Ishy and then making another joke about being the third voter twice in a row.

Hmm, I almost thought for a second that I should have voted Tina, because of the self vote taking so long to switch over. But now that it has, I can honestly say I'm still trying to figure out who to vote for. Though I do wonder about why I shouldn't still vote for Tina. I've never played with you guys so it's going to take me some time to figure out your patterns.

This is Tina's normal MO, she always tries to get the game jump started quickly. Her third vote is a null tell.

You can vote her though, getting some pressure on people is always a good thing.

Meta. From what I heard of her in this game she is a good enough player to hold on to the same meta as both town and mafia, so it doesn't really say much imo.

Unvote, Vote Tina

There isn't enough info yet to build a good case on a player, but this is the strongest read I have at the moment.

I think it seems you're just picking an easy target and attaching yourself to the end of the train.  I think Tina's joke votes were just that: a joke.  And I think mafia took advantage of that and jumped right on.  And at the top, is that some buddying up to peace?

Vote Cloud

Comes out here and makes a strong accusation against Cloud, and defends Tina, whom she previously appeared to be finding suspicious based on Basel's reasoning.

Really, any of the people towards the end that piled on are suspicious, but you are right, he at least gave some reasoning.  However, it seemed like he was reaching with the whole third voting thing, I didn't see that as anything special.  He also seems like he's a little quick to agree with people.

He doesn't know it for fact..just states its like fact.  I take as his leanings if he is town and wifom if he flips scum.

Yeah I wouldn't take Darthe's reads on post #141 tooo seriously. It's still too early to get a town read on so many players.

Starts to back off of her Cloud position while still justifying the vote by saying Cloud was "reaching" with his reasoning.  HIs reasoning was clearly more well-thought out than most votes on the train, and wasn't actually that bad for a D1 case.  Better than a lot of reasons I've seen D1.

Well, I'm leery of Tina still, and I'm not buying the lynch on Cloud. I'm in agreement with Mish and you that someone is trying to build up a lynch on Cloud, but I don't think it's Hally. I'm reading her as more of a misguided townie, keeping in mind that she is inexperienced. For now, I'm more comfortable keeping my vote on Tina.

Pinging again, seems to be distancing from the Cloud lynch while defending Hallia.

OMGSUS time!

Unvote

Vote Ishy

But in all seriousness, you made some good points about Cloud.  He did at least give reasoning.

Unvote

This combination of posts sits wrong with me.  The joking OMGUS on Ishy, immediately followed by a complete backpedal on her Cloud vote when she starts to get pressure... Serious ping.

I really hate do this but I'm going to have to place my vote.

Re: the bold - why do you hate to place your vote?  It's the primary power the town has, to use their vote to gain information.  Little ping for the wording of that statement.

Getting a town vibe from Ishy at this time, as well as Tina.  Darthe has been playing a little off his game lately so it's tough for me to read him at the moment, some of his play has come across as lazy which I'm not used to seeing from him.  Mild town reads on Cloud and TG.

Strongest pings are from Basel and Hallia right now.

Unvote, vote Hallia

Oh good grief, formatting FAIL.  It was fine in the preview.

Will try to fix all that, but just in case, that's an unvote, vote Hallia from me.

Not sure I would do much better at the formatting than you would. lol so I'll just do this.

@Tress - The reason I really hate to place my vote is because I honestly don't know how strong of a reason it is to vote for Hallia. I honestly do not like the way it looks. Her possible jumping to defend a partner(could there be three in this game). But it's still more of a reason than any of the others I had for anyone else. Even though there are others I'm on the fence about.

Well, Taco Tuesday wasn't all I hoped it would be. Oh well though, back to business.

I agree with ya Kira, it does look pretty suspicious.  I just went with my gut.  I'm comfortable saying I'm still a bit of a newbie, but it's still no excuse.  I am town.  I also think it'd be really easy for mafia to take advantage of my slip and easily vote for me.

Hallia seems somewhat genuine to me in this post. I still think it looks majorly bad on her for how she quickly retracted from her case when it started to get picked apart, but then again no one else had really made much of a case on Tina to be analyzed except for Cloud. If anything, I commend her somewhat for actually trying to make a case versus taking the easy route and piling on to Tina's train.

Considering that we now have less than 24 hours before the deadline I would rather have a majority gained than allow the lynch to go random. I'm not saying that I think she is town suddenly, her actions after Ishy started to question her certainly put her in a bad light and unfortunately the only way to find out the truth is with a coroner report. Others still stick out in my mind but in the face of the DL, Hallia you will get my vote as well. I hope that you are scum since it seems that you'll be the one facing the gallows, but if not then the information gained from your coroner report will generally help the town in the long run.

As a general statement about the game and how it is played, I strongly dislike using meta as a way of aligning players. Granted, I don't have much experience myself but I think it's a bad precedent to give someone the benefit of the doubt because it's how they usually act. Poor play is poor play, and frankly even if Tina is town she isn't helping the majority by drawing so much attention to herself in a negative way. As it's been stated before, it gives the mafia an easy outlet for gaining a town lynching without having to do much work themselves and distracts the rest of the town players from finding the real threats. Anyway, I'm off to bed now. I will try to participate more tomorrow while I'm at work but things typically are more hectic during the day with the flight schedule going on.

So you will take an extra look at Tress now?

Andrej's post is a little weird. He seems to be more suspicious of me than Hallia but still votes Hallia.

Something is wrong with DM. I can't post on my computer but apparently I can post on my phone.

Lots of honestly in there...

Just to let you know I'll be gone for the day, won't be around until just before deadline.  If I can login from my phone over lunch I will, but I won't have reception for the most part.

I went and had luncheon, and grocery shoppin'. :D  I'm back!  It just seemed off to me, and yes, he was one of the few with a reason.  His reason just caught my attention.

Hallia comes back to the game and immediately ignores my previous questions where I asked her why she thinks that I'm buddying up to Peace. She starts backing away from me by saying that my reasons 'caught her attention' aka 'it really wasn't that big of a deal now that I look back at it'.

Eh, I left it there for the time being until I can find a suitable person to put it on, didn't seem like he was anywhere close to having a train.  Now if I planned on logging, I would remove it.  I don't see a potential play, but it did seem like he could easily be piggybacking.

After some extra pressure she backing away even more, saying that she would remove her vote on me if things start to get serious. She again says that I'm piggybacking, but again provides no answer to the questions being raised around her statements.

sometimes a little prodding is needed to see if the flow is consistent... it's like pouring cake in the pan... can't have lumps...

TG seems clean with his reaction. But I'm interested to see how he reacts to Darthe's post in response to mine. Provided Darthe provides one.

Unless you're makin' muffins, then you want lumps!

@Darthe - It's because of how good a player you are, all the mafiaz fear you!

Hallia starts joking around a bit more, playing by her usual meta. It seems to me like she is trying to get the attention away from her.

I agree with ya Kira, it does look pretty suspicious.  I just went with my gut.  I'm comfortable saying I'm still a bit of a newbie, but it's still no excuse.  I am town.  I also think it'd be really easy for mafia to take advantage of my slip and easily vote for me.

Her defense is that the mafia could take advantage of her slip up and vote for her, but this will as easily apply to the town. I don't really know what to think when she calls her own actions in this game a slip up, it seems like she wasn't sure of them in the first place..

Hallia jumped up to the number one spot on my scum list, Tina went down to second place. I will give Hallia the time to claim, we still have 14 hours left.

I just woke up, and yes, I will.  I'm Archie Asparagus, vanilla town.  I guess I'm not as crucial as a power role, but still town nevertheless.

UNVOTE VOTE HALLIA

Ok..I still agree with my drunk agreement of Ishy.  Going to 4 basketball games today so may or may not post later.

that's l-1 I believe.

Still quiet in here, and with the deadline ticking closer, I'm betting it won't change.  So if/when I do get lynched, I'm suspicious of Tina, Kira, and Peace.  Cloud, your assessment was spot on, and I'm leaning town towards you.

Well, someone needs to finish this off. Unvote, vote Hally.
