le sigh. That's just frikkin wonderful people. We got the deadline extended basically by TWO days and we still couldn't achieve a majority, and the random hit a power role (protective one at that), when we had a perfectly good candidate that had claimed vanilla. I know this game starting right around thanksgiving was tough, but still, if Cyan was right about voting Dice (can't remember if she did or not), then Dice only needed 2 more votes.

Rand, could you please tally a final vote count for us? I know we didn't secure a lynch, but we still may be able to analyze the voting record, especially if we see people that weren't voting or had their vote on ancillary candidates that were also available before the deadline

Posted

Bah why couldn't you have just claimed vanilla? Well I still don't know if I believe you. That seems like a rather obscure role, though if we really do have a poison thingie in this game..... Unvote Vote Dice. I still don't want a random. What did the mod tell you about your role Starry?

Looks like Cyan did vote for Dice. If Rand doesn't get an official final vote count for us I'll do an unofficial one later

theres like 15mins left and by my count im L-4

if i get lynched you might want to consider who piles on from this point on 4 votes in 15 mins should tell you something i guess.

If i survive i expect to get quick lynched by despo and wombat tomorrow

I am disappoint Dice. Thought you were getting a better grasp of the game.

Two people can NOT speed lynch, unless that is the game is down to 3 players. Fail.

That's bull. A pileup at deadline gives crap info on anyone.

You are way off the mark. We get a coroner report on a lynched player.

I think he meant that pileup votes at deadline don't really mean anything, since those are generally people trying to keep it from going random (which both mafia and town would want to do generally)

Official Vote Count:

Lenlo(2): Panchi, Turin

Despo(2): Dice, Amega

Dice(10): Despo, Wombat, Basel, Lenlo, Peace, Roo, BG, Mish, Tress, Cyan

Starrik(4): Darthe, Falcon, Kae

BG(1): TG

Not Voting (3): LZM, Dap, BB

With 22 alive, it takes 12 to lynch.

Sorry guys, don't have the time to know when Cyan unvoted so I just put her last.

2 influential people can lead a speed lynch but. which is actually what i was getting at.

As for the line about getting info...it was intended much the same as the reasons u asked for a vc you could see who popped out of the woodwork suddenly in a short space of time despite this having been pretty slow lately

Had an absolutely craptastic night. Next year I'm gonna try and make sure I'm off for the Clemson-South Carolina game, we got completely frizzle fried tonight. Brain is warped. Thanks for the VC btw Rand.

@Dice: Even with two influential people leading a lynch, they still can't "speedlynch" a player. Speedlynches don't happen unless a player does something obviously scummy, or someone with an investigation result claims evidence against a player. Since Turin seems to think he'll be able to clear you tonight somehow, I don't know how you think you could be speedlynched tomorrow.

As for the pileup votes thing, once again, there wouldn't really be any significant info you could get on people "coming out of the woodwork" to vote when it is so close to deadline. I'd be much more interested in people that COULD vote before a deadline came up, but still didn't help consolidate on anyone.

Speaking of which, looking at the VC that Rand posted for us, TG looks the worst for that throwaway vote on BG. I'd like to hear an explanation for that.

@Despo: Nobody knew if Rand would extend the DL or, if he did, by how much. While we were all going back and forth over Dice and unable to get the necessary 12 votes I brought up a different option thinking it might get some traction if the DL were extended. The DL was extended, but it seems like you would rather have lynched a claimed townie than consider somebody else in the time remaining.

Just read thru again and the two I would prefer to vote are Lenlo and Basel. Basel for his injecting motive into Panchi's odd vote. It looked like an easy shot at a new player.

FoS for this, Turin. You yourself just said that Pank's vote was odd, so how is what I said about her vote pingy? Especially since I delved into it more than just calling it "odd". Are you trying to distance yourself from her without really building a case that could endanger her?

You and Turin both are at the top of my list come D2.

Your both incredibly scummy to me right now. Your defense of Dice and moves to get it to go random reek of trying to look town and sloppy scum play.

This. Looks like Turin got what he wanted.

Starrik, Beorn, Town Poison Doc has been lynched.

Wait a second, a coroner report on a random lynch? I did that once... but it was my first ever day phase as a mod.

I'm what you guys might call a nice mod. :P But if this game gets too inactive, bad things happen. Very bad things happen. If it gets way too inactive, you might not even see a coroner on a normal lynch. Who knows? Keep it active guys.

You knew how slow the game was going. You knew that the deadline had already been extended once. There was no way you could believe that the deadline would have been extended again long enough to get ELEVEN more votes on someone that had barely been talked about, especially considering you didn't exactly bring up a huge case against him. Your excuse is weaksauce. It seems like you were more interested in going through the motions and trying to look like you were trying to stay involved, while not actually helping to secure a lynch which was SORELY needed. It reeks of third party type play, since even mafia wouldn't want a random lynch.

As for that last bit, what makes you think that someone would claim anything other than townie day 1? I stated my suspicions on Dice many times, and more importantly the only realistic options for us to try and secure a lynch on before the deadline passed was Dice and Starrik. Starrik had claimed a power role, Dice had claimed vanilla, which made the choice pretty clear there imo. Maybe it's because you're still new to the game, but your logic really falls through in that last sentence. Just because someone claims townie doesn't mean you automatically start looking for other candidates, ESPECIALLY when there isn't near enough time to try and find another option. Even if there was a lot more activity all of a sudden, and we would have had enough people online to secure a lynch on someone else, we easily could have ended up stringing someone up for a lynch that had a power role.

There is simply no excuse for not voting Dice yesterday, and we lost a protective role partially because of your vote. Most of the others who didn't vote Dice were still busy with holiday activities, but you can not use that same excuse since you did show up to vote. As such you're way up high on my scumdar.

While I agree that it could have potentially been distancing on Turin's part, he did already soft claim an investigative type role, so you pushing at him pings a little bit to me.

Well, I've replaced in for Dap. I assume I can post, as I have the role pm.

 Yeah I forgot.

STARRIK IS REPLACING IN FOR DAP

Des is pushing a third party angle now. Fascinating. It will be days late but I am finally back at school with enough signal to magnate decent Internet connections and will present my case tomorrow. Chow.

Someone voting for an outlier when deadline is right around the corner is a third party tell for me, especially when a lynch isn't secured. Both town and mafia wouldn't want a random, since odds aren't that great for either of them, but third party wouldn't care as much since odds are usually more in they're favor, if it's a survivor or a SK or something.

But it will be nice to finally see the case on me you have been saying you would do for almost a week now

Songstress is a replacement for EP, and Dap has been replaced so they are off the hook. LZM and Kae have just checked in and I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Amega, Panchi really need to step up activity, and Falcon and below are on the edge.

As mafia I actually don't mind random lynches.

Sounds like a claim to me

Ugh, I had that a couple days this past week. It is the worst. Luckily it is easily cured :-)
