I was doing my FAFSA!

 

Myself, I just PM DPR when no one talks to me. Still haven't gotten him drunk enough to reveal the game plan, though.

 

I just wish you would stop asking me what I am wearing.

There was no scream of the tortured during the night. Most took this as a good sign, but for Kate, it was truly worse than screaming because when one shrieks, there is always that slight hope that a person will hear you and come to your aid.

 

When you are being gagged, there is no hope. After hours and several blackouts, she was happy to tell the torturer all that she knew.

 

Kae also died a silent death as the garrote was swiftly looped over her head and cinched tightly. Her floating tap dance lasted only minutes.

 

Tinker, though, was another story. His was a loud, agonizing death. Nor did it come swiftly.

 

The Kidnapper jumped him just after dark. Tinker later woke to the smell of ammonia, a sharp contrast to the chloroform used to subdue him. He was tied to a chair placed in what seemed to be an earthen pit. Roots protruded from the walls, and the floor. The air was heavy, hot and damp.

 

As Tinker's senses returned to him, he began to notice that the roots on the floor all bore a similar pattern - they were several inches around, with stalks coming from the center. Eight stalks on each...one moved.

 

Tinker jerked as the root slowly walked toward him. Revulsion swept through him as he realized that there were dozens of the spiders placed around him. They were large, but not giant. A sheen of sweat covered Tinker as more took notice of him and moved in his direction.

 

A voice spoke from above.

 

"They are not the most threatening in appearance, I know. But, the Walking Spider is considered the most deadly of all spiders, and I have long desired to see if that is true. The more you struggle, the more attention you bring upon yourself. Agitate them, and one will surely do you in."

 

Tinker closed his eyes and tried to calm down. Until one crawled onto his foot. He struggled then, trying to move, but he was tied tightly to the heavy chair. The spider moved up his leg.

 

Another spider found his other foot, and also began the climb upward.

 

Tinker tried to imagine being saved - maybe he could survive a bite on his leg. Maybe...

 

The tingle on his shoulder set the full measure of his panic loose, though, and he finally succeeded in toppling the chair over to land on it's side.

 

Now he was eye-level with them, and as many stared back, he realized too late that several had become very, very agitated.

 

Their bite burned like fire under his skin, and then nausea overtook him. A sharp headache erupted behind his eyes, and then he could feel nothing.

 

The man watching above smiled in admiration. It was true - they were the deadliest poison he had seen.

 

He motioned to the men standing next to the large pile of dirt, and they quickly began to shovel, filling in what was now a grave.

After Shinori, we should go after JLM since she tried to defend Shinori for absolutely no reason.

 

Also, it looks like Wombat/Kate was tortured. It might make sense, if Wombat/Kate is Javier for her to tell us what she knew already, to basically nullify any advantage the Torturer might have gleaned from targeting her. I leave that up to WombKate.

 

Get those votes on Shinori people. Javier is losing it's numbers advantage each new phase!!!

I don't have any sort of informative role, so I'm not sure what sort of info the Torturer might have gleaned from me, other than Javier townie.

After reading a few posts later and seeing John's explanation, I understand, I guess. But on my read through, seeing the three of you post one after another without any reasoning seems weird.

 

Ok you guys are voting Shinori simply because he was kidnapped and somehow Despo ended up dying? I realize I'm slow without coffee but Im not quite following the logic.

KIDNAPPER - 3 shot vig who chooses the method of death and is awarded a naaaaasty death scene for each.

TORTURER - Once per night, you may choose any player and you will learn their role and alignment, and any information they have gained during the game.

SHADOW - Once per night you target any player. Should any other player target the player you have, their NA will fail.

THIEF - Once per night, you may choose a target and any NA they have will be nulled. Any information they would have gained will be yours.

MIRROR - Any NA used on this player will be used on the sender instead.

TRACER - Once per night, you may target a player. If they are using a Night Action, and learn when they have used it through the entire game.

 

Despo's most-likely role in blue.

Shinori's in red.

 

That is my logic. I know it doesn't speak to Shinori's alignment, but honestly I can't imagine why Javier Town would have a mirror ability. Seems more like ability that would be used for a mafia member. Hence, my vote.

 

Wouldn't a mirror ability make it so that the town (assuming Shinori) wouldn't be able to be NKed or Vig killed? With all the random ways to die in this game other than being lynched, and with the apparent lack of a doc, it seems like a role like this would be a powerful town role for Javier to have. And if that's to be the case, I'd rather not go lynching the one who possibly can't be killed by Fatima scum. We've got Rand voting on Shinori because he thinks it's a town role and the rest of you voting Shinori because you think it's a mafia role. It's hard for me to just read pages of thread and get a reading without having actively participated, so I'm slightly hesitant. Javier IS losing it's advantage, so I'd like to be a little extra careful, and JLM seems to be acting more strangely than Shinori.

The way I see it, Shinori has to go via lynch. It's a smart lynch because 1.) he's not Javier mafia because he's thread #1, and 2.) he's a wifom that is better dealt with now than closer to endgame.

 

As for Turin and Snow, I'm pretty content with the Javier read on both of them. Mild Javier read on Wombat before you took over for him. I don't see a better course of action for this day phase right now, we should absolutely be lynching from the Thread #1 pool. Shinori or JLM.

It was noisily followed by several others and Kate took a playful swipe at what she at first mistook for a grasshopper.

 

When one sank it's probiscus into her neck, she knew that's not what they were.

 

The Kidnapper laughed, shaking out a box of hundreds. Netting covered the man from head to toe, so no one was able to identify him, and everyone else had the sense to run.

 

Kate was left alone as she screamed, a thousand tiny hot pokers inserting themselves under her flesh and injecting acids designed to begin the digestion process.

 

It was a short but agonizing death.
