I know I haven't posted much. I have been reading and am now caught up. Also, as someone else stated, the few times I was going to chime in there were several posts saying what I would have said. I know that's not an excuse. So here are my current thoughts:

 

Peace- I also noted the incorrect list of who didn't agree with Mynd but voted for Nol. Then there is the whole Mynd's theory is ok/now it's scummy behavior, to switching to worrying about it being a scum ploy/unvotes Mynd before a runaway lynch can happen. (As Tress pointed out)

 

Piano- I hadn't noticed him questioning Arez's inactivity while being inactive himself before it was pointed out. There is also the drunk mafia/bandwagoning vote on Darthe with little reasoning.

 

BG- I hadn't noticed most of this before.

BG: Bandwagoned Mynd's vote on EP, then later backed off EP because of lack of support and went to a lot of effort to reinforce Mynd's theory without placing a vote based on it. Later he questioned Mynd's motivation in proposing the theory in the first place.

The question on my m(y)nd is what ol' Runner's motivation was in doing this. Was it a random notion? A carefully laid plan? A pot riling scheme? An effort to vet a teammate? All of the above?

Then...

I think that this early in the game, mafia will have laid low, defended a partner and attacked Mynd as an easier lynch based on what can be easily described as bad game logic by some. The most compelling defense of EP that meets these criteria at this point was that of Nolder.

 

Vote Nolder

The bit about what scum would be "most likely" to do here pings - it is, of course, the exact opposite of what BG did. He uses it to justify a vote on Nol, who turned out to be town, so... I guess that's not what scum was doing there.

Funny. I seem to recall you going with his 'crazy scheme'. At least initially.

So? Nothing wrong with crazy schemes. I've gone along with my fair share and attempted a few myself. At very least, they draw in reactions, and at most catch scum right out.

I must say, i feel QUITE certain Nolder is lying.

And promises to reveal D2. I'm not voting BG, at least not yet, because he apparently has this thing called a real life. But just a reminder not to let him fly under the radar on this.

Initial thoughts....

 

I don't like how Peace had voted EP early on, is gone from the game for most of the ugliness that went down, and then swoops in and unvotes EP to vote me. He also seems to go for Hoofy, the easy lynch. Also, I find it interesting that his lynch has stalled despite significant casings against him. Peace did not want to vote Ishy, perhaps he knew how he would flip.

Firstly sorry that I didnt come back. I did appear and try reading but I never managed to get all the way caught up. I just did an entire reread/catch up to get my head into gear and this is what i have

 

I feel like I should start by defending myself. I think there are three main points against me?

1. Inactive - my fault and there isnt anything I can say to that other than ill try harder?

2. Darthe - I stand by that vote. At the time there was no claim and it seemed like a good idea that would yeild some info. One of the main reasons you guys dont seem to like it is cos I was drunk. I dont see why that is a big deal? I think I was number 6 on that train. That means there were 5 others before me that thought it was a good idea too, It wasnt jsut me being drunk and blaming alcohol. I havent been around since that so UNVOTE

3. Arez - I think this has been twisted a bit. I think my exact post about him is here. I never vote him or anything. I just said I was interested to know what had happened to him. When someone is sliding under the radar it's generally a good idea to keep tabs

The next post says that Darthe “agrees” with him, though the last line he slips in makes it seem that he knows it is a trap.

BG votes Firebird, Levity argues on the side of things that seem like they could be unlikely are possible and was all weird about it.

Limi says that what Mynd said made sense, but she didn’t vote Firebird.

Peace points out that Mynd said something about lists but then had no lists.

Nyn votes Firebird saying that “this plan is better than nothing.”

Nol gets worked up over Mynds “case” here.

Mynd says that there is no emotion in mafia and none is it is personal, Ishy backs him up on that.

I just want to note Piano’s post here. I’ve seen Mynd stir up stuff to ruffle feathers and get information, but the fact that he’s doing this time as well that doesn’t mean that he’s town necessarily. Nol counters Piano as well.

Nyn defends her vote on Firebird again here saying D1 votes are random, we wouldn’t get anything from people’s reactions D1 anyway, and slips in the last minute that Firebird’s calm is making her feel weird, and then here she says she has no reason and seems to say that the alternative to going with these odds is to “close her eyes and pick a name from the list”

 

Chrissy said earlier that Mynd was being a heavier version of himself, and here she says he’s not being himself and wonders why he’s not voting Nyn. Immediately he votes Nyn. Nae votes Mynd.

 

Back and forth and back and forth and other people simply watch. Mynd vs. Nol and Mynd vs. Chrissy.... He switches his vote back to Firebird here.

 

This is where I got so fed up that I left. Am now finishing my reread even though it is now night

I doubt that EP would carry it so far as to actually use a word that he knew would insult Mynd..and I doubly doubt Mynd would have responded in game. He most likely would have discussed it with EP in scum chat. And EP wouldn't haven't gotten upset enough to follow up with dissallowed posts that got him Mod killed.

 

Either you haven't really thought through your theory or you are rationalizing because you fear Mynd for some reason.

Peace doesn’t like Hoof’s post. I’m just going to point out that Firebird didn’t necessarily know that that word would spark something with Mynd.

Everyone jumps in and jumps on Nolder when the deadline draws near. Most without explaining their reasoning behind it. So...

Tress--has been quieter than usual and votes Nol without reasoning (if you had at some point and just didn’t red and bold--sorry I didn’t notice it and correct me)

Razen--had reasoning to my satisfaction

Kaylee--voted Nol with enough reasoning

Ok, so based off of this so far, something feels off about Nyn. I get she’s going through school craziness too but some of her reasoning has just seemed off to me.

 

BG and Ishy were in the thick of things with Mynd, going along some of the stuff he said and deviating other times. Just want to note that.

 

Hoof's reaction was still interesting to me. That explanation was buyable (maybe) but...

 

Tress has been much quieter than usual. I remember her saying that she just didn't like how hostile it was but once again it is just sticking out.

 

Right now I'm going to vote Ishy because it seemed to me that there was something strange about the way that he defended/followed/[insert word of choice here] Mynd yesterday.

 

Does anyone else find it interesting how she goes through everything in such detail yet only mentions Lev once. She then votes Ishy who was the person leading that spearhead and still doesnt mention that at all

I didn't jump back and forth between them at all. The points I was addressing were two completely different ones. In Mynd's case, I was agreeing with his reasons for voting EP and didn't think he should be lynched for it. In Nolder's case, I agreed with him about his stance on the "nastiness." I won't get into that because it's rightly been laid to rest. Two separate issues and to attempt to link them together is disturbing to say the least.

Based on this, I’m thinking that the scum are railroading Darthe. There have been a lot of votes for him for weak reasons, all happening just after TinaHel voted him with a decent explanation. I think they just jumped on.

 

So… I’m going to vote Peacesells for now.

Well, it depends. Apparently Bull Blaster is what it is *technically* called if the bartender simply pours the jager and Red Bull in a glass together. A real Jagerbomb has you dropping it in the red bull, just like you drop the Jameson&Baileys into the Guinness in a CarBomb. BUT the laypeople (including me, even though they are disgusting) all call the poured kind a JagerBomb, so *shrugs* up to you.

 

Basel, I am not harping on it. I have mentioned it precisely twice. And this time was even referring to my first post about it. I just think it reads as oddly specific thinking there are two mafia teams and that you mention that not once, but twice - both times about two separate mafia teams. What if there is a cult and a mafia? Or just one large mafia team? Or three small teams? You don't see how your commenting about two teams both times could look suspicious?

 

Well, now that you explain it, maybe I do see what you mean. I honestly hadn't considered a cult, and as for three teams, I mentioned two because it seemed simpler in an Occam's Razor way... if I think that there could be multiple scum teams, then I'll go with two unless I see evidence of three (or more). Maybe I should have just said "more than one" instead of two. What it boils down to is that Ishy was presenting EP's flip as confirming that Mynd was town, before Mynd died and gave us his own flip. I don't know if that was a ploy or if Ishy honestly believed that when he made the post. I found his reasoning faulty and gave cases where this wouldn't be true. One was Mynd using EP to vet himself (although I think EP flying off the handle wouldn't have been part of the plan even if Mynd had been scum). The other possibility was that Mynd really didn't know EP's alignment despite not being town himself. And in the end, it turned out to all be irrelevant, since Mynd was town after all.

 

And as for the Jager and Red Bull, I don't do either of those (dropping the shot into the RB or pouring them together). I take them separately, knock the Jager back fast so that I don't even taste how vile it is, and then chase it with the Red Bull to wash down any lingering flavor from the Jager and cleanse my taste buds. I usually have to specify this to bartenders even at the place I go to the most.

Basel and Key bug me here. They seem to have a little interplay. Basel suggests two teams (Kinda a thing to scare the town) then Key comes along and says "but what if there is a cult?"

Panda (Arez): D1 joke voted on Mynd after serious gameplay began, then left vote on Mynd with reasoning that he saw leaving himself of his own potential scum list as hypocritical because he was purporting the list to be "pure math" and impartial. Extremely poor logic. Did not post at all for a full week after this. Jokes about Darthe's meta read on him and gives weak explanation (accounting for a couple of days, not a full week)... States he will not claim Darthe's vote on him is scummy but that he hopes he has made it clear he is not mafia. Note to Panda: This is not at all clear from your behavior.

 

Hoof: I think his overreaction to EP's flip was primarily a joke, but his reasoning for voting Mynd was a stretch, and he appeared to be trying to push the Mynd lynch after it had stalled by suggesting it would take a lot of work to get Nol lynched instead. Giving Ishy a free pass due to Drunk Mafia is a ping, as others have stated. His vote on Darthe today seemed to be primarily due to Darthe not following through on his stated intention to vote Hoof himself, which strikes me as odd.

 

Ishy: This one is mighty good at flying under the radar. When people have called him about leaving his vote on Kae all of Day 1, nobody even noticed that he actually did place a serious vote -- on Levity, accusing her of trying to protect EP and suggesting that either they are both scum, or Levi was positive that EP would flip town. When Levity replaced out of the game, Soy reverted his vote to Kae instead of leaving it as no vote. I wonder if he was hoping people would forget about that. His reaction to EP's flip did look a bit suspicious, as he was very vehement in his insistence that Mynd was town. When Nae called him on that, his response didn't really address her point. And of course, Ishy will comment that I always mistrust him in mafia games. Most of the time, it's warranted.

 

AH: After reviewing Levity and Heart's posts from D1, I'm getting the impression that the "defense of EP" thing has been blown out of proportion a bit. She has seemed a bit defensive and some of her reasoning for suspicions of others has been vague (specifically Nyn and Ishy). I'm curious whether she's actually suspicious of Hoof, Marsh and Player, as the word "interesting" is very neutral and does not indicate... well, anything really. I also noticed that she was the first to ask about Razen as if he had been inactive, and then Marsh followed up on that.

 

Nae: Pings a bit for her tunneling on Mynd D1. Some of her arguments were very vauge and general statements that could not be backed up with quotes or facts, and I noticed a few times where she attributed something to the wrong person. She has a good point about Ishy, though.

I think the defending EP group is more telling though so I am going to start off by VOTING LITTLE MISS. As she is the first on the list I made. But I'd be happy to look at Ail Heart or Darthe too.

 

The bolded part should have said "DIDN'T DEFEND EP." That's what my notes say, I'm not sure why typed didn't vote Nolder..especially when I listed the vote count. :facepalm:

 

Given that, I understand why that post seems strange at best and scummy at worst. I think the point still stands though. There were scum on that train and to cross check voters vs defenders at that point in the game (early day 2) is not a bad idea. You can cross Darthe off as the claimed sheriff, but I think AH and Limi are stil viable options.
