Yeah that's a big GFY for everyone who speedlynched me on such a weak case. I've never, ever, seen Wombat push a case as strong as he pushed mine, and it was also one of the weakest cases I've seen from him. Wombat, if your goal was to make me lose interest in DM mafia, gj.

 

And to the rest of you sheeple, gj getting rid of a powerful protection role. Hope (almost) all of you diaf.

 

1. This was not a speedlynch. Trust me on that. You want to see those, check out JN. We've lynched Nolder over there within minutes, heh.

 

2. Wombat has pushed cases harder than this.

 

3. Agreed on it not being the strongest case, but it was good for having competing trains with Basel. The hammer without you being able to reveal was crap, though.

 

4. This shouldn't make you lose interest in mafia. Trust me, you haven't been blind hammered nearly as much as I have, and I still come back for more.

 

5. I had nothing else, but having 5 items just seems better.

@ Wombat: Yeah, I do usually have a vote on, but I kinda missed the end of the day, and wasn't feeling the Des lynch anyway.

 

On a side note, you're kinda giving me the creeps, I don't think I've ever seen you talk so much in a game I'm used to you popping in, voting, and leaving. Not sure what to make of this...

Also ... Wombat's reactions since Despothera died do not lead me to believe he is a Mafioso who cooked up a plot to kill a Townie. I think he now realises that perhaps a strong stance based on nothing but a 'feeling' was perhaps not the way to go - especially as there was no input from his victim to provide further intel as to whether his target was valid or not.

 

I think he feels bad and is trying to justify his actions. A mafia would just shrug it off I think. Wombat going against his usual close-mouthness is perhaps his way of making amends.

 

Either that or him and Nolder planned this whole thing and are now pretending to argue about stuff so that people think ... Awww Wombat feels bad - he must be Town.

okay so two deaths during the day are interesting. i'm thinking that maybe Des's role ended up killing Basel, maybe as part of his role he kills the hammer or something. or it could have been a vig kill, either not takign effect until the end of the day or submitted late. i'm leaning towards the former.

 

 

also, Basle, just to address soemthign in your post. it was the way your posts came off, the emotion in them, that painted them as panicky. also, just because no one responds to your cases doesnt mean their not being paid attention to. its just that when your high up on a suspoect list, any case you throw out looks like an attempt at diversion, at least at the time.

 

 

All I got was someone attempted to take a shot at me ... Nothing about my role could have prevented it hitting me. They either didn't have a guaranteed hit, or there are Day Protective Roles out there somewhere.

 

i don't like this, nor do i believ it. just add another thing onto the long list of why i think Ithi is scum in this game.

BTW, I'm starting to take notes (in theory, anyway), and I'm going to have to add Nolder's latest to my list of pingy things. I totally agree with Wombat--wth is going on in Nolder's head if he thinks people are going to agree with his logic? Unless Wombat says that he knows of a certainty and without any doubt that Despo's scum and that there is no way in the world he can be wrong about this, Wombat's fate shouldn't be decided based on Despo's alignment (and even then, we should hesitate to draw concrete conclusions).

ask yourself why wombat would push on Des so hard if he wasn't certain of either his alignment or his role

 

how does "someone tried to kill me last night" equate to Des being scum?

explain that logic to me

 

I'm willing to go with it since it's early game but it smells fishy to me

just like an unvetted cop claim

I'm most worried about the people who are buying into this without questioning it at all

I can see Wombat being willing to sacrifice somebody in order to lay that trap

 

Nol, it's not that fact that Wombat thought he was scum that got most people to jump on the Des lynch. it was the case Wombat presented not to mention Des was pinging D1.

Seriously though ... Bad form lynching someone without hearing from them for 2 days. Although you can't just blame the goalie ... Even if Basel did buy that vote, it takes more than one to tighten a noose.

I said quite clearly in two separate posts, that people should wait for him to speak before he was hammered. I focused on my reasons for preferring the Basel lynch because I didn't actually know if Despo was Town or Mafia. Despo is a big boy - had he been given the chance he would have been more than capable of defending himself.

The nights in New Coronado have never been boring, but they have never been quite like this...

Fire alarms ring throughout the town as the second person in as many days claims to have been doused in flammable oil. There is no explanation, merely the pungent smell of the oil, and you instinctively keep your distance.

No sooner do you stand aside then another shot rings out. It is followed by yet another, and you spin to see who they have been aimed at. You see a woman cower behind the black bag of a doctor. The bag has two holes in it, and the woman appears to be in shock, but is no worse for the wear.

Sadly, another woman is not so fortunate.

From behind the mechanical moon, another shot rings out, and this one finds a heart.

RED, TOWN DOUBLE VOTER, IS DEAD.

You clutch your coats closer to you in horror, but the night is still not over.

Behind you, a man bellows in rage and you turn to see him cast aside a robot that had tried to abduct him. The man goes after the automaton in a rage, but the machine is faster and scuttles away before it is caught.

Just as you catch your breath, a massive bell rings, signaling the start of day and the giant mechanical sun appears from behind its veil to begin its climb across the sky.

It is now Day 3.
