X (An informant of Fox Mulder)

*cough*

wrong, the informants name was Deep Throat, Mulder would put an X made out of duct tape in his window when he wanted to contact him. in total, i believe Mulder only had 2 informants working with him against CSM; the other being the older guy in the circle with CSM that ended up dead in his trunk in the first movie.

Pardon me while I swoon over David Duchovny...

Apropos of nothing, my old boss at the time the series was running used to call me Scully from time to time, and after I quit he gave me a little gold cross necklace for Christmas in honor of her. Best boss ever, IMO.

yer old boss sounds great!!

i bought a little gold cross because of Scully and wore it in high school used to go by that name when i first started getting on the web as well XD thats so awesome XD

X was played by Steven Williams, was Deepthroats successor as informant to Mulder and was actually Mulders informant longer than Deepthroat (Jerry Harding).

Heresy, my dear girl. Roger Delgado is still the greatest Master.

Delgado was REALLY good. Simms had way more charisma. Charisma isn't everything but Simms' FLAIR was just so darn FUN!!

A cosmos without the Doctor scarcely bears thinking about.... The Master

K first the ones I saw on here then a few of my own...

The Doctor and the Master are definitely deserving of a place on this list- more into the Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Doctors and I got a kick out of Anthony Ainley as the Master.

Roland Deschain- absolutely. I was so hooked on those books right up till the last one.

now a few I didn't see...

Mara Jade- she kicked more ass than any other character in Star Wars. Probably my favorite female character in just about any story.

Jon Snow- saw Greatjon Umber mentioned but not the illegitimate son who took over The Night's Watch? Of all the Stark blood he seems to be the only one in the right place. And no he is not dead.

Uhtred- k so not really fantasy but Uhtred could pwn just about anyone.

left out the WOT badassess because well too many to mention...

Lamest fantasy characters ever- Lancelot and Guinevere.Count Dookie from star wars prequels.

Outside of fantasy/sci fi- Woodrow Call and Gus McRae. Throw in J.J. Mcquade Norris's Texas Ranger from the 80s flick. purty badass

Lameducks-Jake Spoon from Lonesome Dove- only one i could think of atm

Have you read the Malazan novels? I find it hard to believe anyone could have a top bad ass list and not have least one Malazan character, whereas my entire list would probably all be Malazan.

But if you haven't read any Malazan, then I was actually just curious.

Wizards

1/ Rand Al'Thor

2/ Raistlin Majere

3/ Pug Con'doin

4/ Belgarath the sorcerer

5/ Leto Artraidies

Warriors : (no particular order, except the first)

KARSA ORLONG: Baddest Baddass of Baddassville

Lan

Drizzt

Whiskeyjack

Kalam Mekhar: another down right lethal SoB

Trull Sengar: the way he ran through an entire

army of soletaken

Wizards:

QUICK MOTHER F'N BEN: BOO YAH. Such a great

character. The complexities, the odd past,

the rebirth in Rakuru. So well imagined,

extremely unique, and saucy to boot.

Raistlin: Not a huge fan of Dragonlance. I use to

be, when I was 13. It's just that it seems

many of the chars are their own

stereotype. But Raistlins story is def

genuine and well conceived. Huge fan.

Anomander Rake!!!! Nuff Said.

Rand al'Thor

Fistandantilus

Elminster

Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander

AND MY NEW FAVORITE CHARACTER:

GANOES PARAN.

After getting his hands dirty in book 6, I'm starting to think Ganoes might be the man to NOT mess with. Sort of like how you just wouldn't insult Karsa Oslong and do something stupid like attack him with 100 men at your side. It just wouldn't be enough.

There are badasses out there for sure. Some we hear secondhand of how bad they are. Some we see stand down other very powerful creatures. Then some just whoop some butt. But KARSA embodies the art of whooping butt, BADASS STYLE. He man handles huge beasts. Gets his hands dirty. Gets all up in the action.

Whereas a creature like Anomander Rake is still quite the BADASS, but he's a little more subdued and technical in the destruction of his opponents.

But I'm on the GANOES bandwagon for now. Not as sloppy as KARSA. But not as mysteriously omnipotent as Rake. GANOES is just a man you don't make mad. Loved his line in book 6 about this is what happens when you mess with mortals. I can't wait to see just how much power he truely has at his disposal.

haven't read the malazon novels. Currently grinding my way through Rise and Fall of the Third Reich-very grim reading. After that a bio of either Eisenhower or Kennedy. The malazon novels might be a good break LOL. All of this is of course contingent on the small town library being open when I can actually get there :S.....
