I really would have become Perrin's bodyguard if I had found him instead of Masema. I really wanted to play as a SK tho so went searching that way and found nolder N1. Our actions failed mostly early. We really wanted to get the action list so no one would know about the recruit. picked wrong. I can't wait to see the NA lists to see what went wrong on all those kills and recruits.

I never really asked Ama for confirmation. I went back through the QT and saw where Corro didn't even send in an action Night 1. For giggles, I asked Ama if she would have told you if you were successful and she gave me a PAFO but told me to read through the QT. I went and looked again and I think she did a random action from Corro since he didn't send one in.

I would also like to say that before I voted Player, I had this nice post written out to vote Nolder solely because he hadn't pinged me at all this game and that is SO unlike him, but our plan worked better with me voting Player. Also, Nolder, I think you're screwed playing in games with me...from now on, if you ping me, I'm gonna want you lynched. If you don't ping me, I'm gonna REALLY want you lynched. hahaha.

 

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Even though I didn't jump in until much later, it was great fun.

Hey! I was mafia! Just....not when I revealed, hehe. I did a similar reveal a few years ago as a cultist. I love revealing as a scum player - makes people off balance.

To balance out some issues that came up i did the following...

 

When Ed made a case against someone and then voted another way it became obvious his vote had been controlled and almost broke the game LOL To counter this i added a condition to the vote control that forced a believable case to be made against the person they were voting for.

 

As it resulted in Ishy being compromised if Ishy had been viewed that night he would have come back with a Lightsworn reading.

 

When BG outed my mistake in the finder reading (Dragonsworn instead of Non Lightsworn) i compensated the Dragonsworn with a one time block ability for the night phase.

 

My biggest stuff up though, was not allowing Red to continue talking on her Cha'Faile QT. It quickly resulted in her death. I guess i had not really thought it through. When i allowed Verb to be recruited i had to decide whether to have him be killed off quickly in the same manner or to modify the rules to allow the game to continue. To that end i allowed Verb to continue posting on the Shaido QT. He was not allowed to reveal the names of his Shaido companions to the Dragonsworn - on the last day he had finally worked around the restriction - mostly due to the low numbers remaining and it was end game. In future games i would make Masons and Scum un-recruitable.

I really should have known something was up a lot earlier. Kate and I were gung ho to NK Nolder for 2-3 nights before last night. Yet each night Verb would nudge us to go for Soy, Ledinna, and Des, in that order. He also came up with the crazy "I'm going to reveal as mafia" plan right after Kate and I had devised (what I thought) was a lock for us to win as early as two nights ago. Even after he convinced us to try it his way, I was still posting in the QT that I thought our plan was better. But at the same time I was thinking "Well this is Verb. Who the hell am I to question him, he's a legend and I'm the new guy." I never even thought for a second that scum could be recruited as cult since I had never seen that happen before. But as Ama can back me up on, as soon as he came up with his plan to reveal, I pm'd her and asked what the protocol was on scum being recruited and whether they could still post in the qt or not. Of course I got the PAFO. As soon as I got that, I knew I was screwed. And after I really thought I had played a good game as scum for the first time. Oh well, if I'm going to get screwed over, as long as it's by the best, I guess I can't complain. I still had a ton of fun regardless and even in defeat, I think I played OK. And I think I learned a lot about my play, especially my weaknesses. I definitely need to learn not to play so "eager" when I'm scum, it'll surely be a tell in future games. Good game cult, ya got me.

 

And just everyones fyi....if you look at our qt, you'll see I wanted Nol NK'd WAY back when. Verb just kept running interference. Good game Verb, I got schooled by the best. No trust for you EVA.....

Aust did the same to me in a game once - opened my eyes to the reality of Mafia - even if you are scum you cannot trust anyone LOL

I have LOVED modding this game, as i said at the beginning i tried to keep it balanced... Verb, Red, Womby - i'd like your opinions on how it was please.

 

The most frustrating thing for me was that out of a game of 24 players i had to find 9 replacements...

It protected from everything negative, and yes i would have allowed recruiting of anyone, same as i did for the cult.

Yeah, it was one of the outcomes i had not allowed for. Modding an advanced game is a steep learning curve lol. I have modded a few basic games and figured i would be fine with a large one... and mostly i was but you have got to be able to think quickly when different situations arise.
