on a positive note my grandma had a stroke awhile back and made pretty much a full recovery

she had some memory issues and she acted a little goofy but that could easily have been old age

so yeah there's definitely hope

She's still in the hospital, but the doctor says (for some doctor-y) reason that things are looking good.
