How old is the average WOT fan?

A friend introduced me to the books in college, so by the time I started reading there were 6 books already. I think that is accurate; close enough anyway. But that meant I read the existing books straight through. I was pretty much hooked at that point.

I am 30.

I am a Pisces, who enjoys candelit dinners, ballroom dancing...wait, this isnt a personal ad!

I'm 31. Only started reading them about 4 yrs ago after my sis recommended them but wish I'd discovered them earlier! Although, it was great being able to read the majority of the series straight through!!

I recommend them to anyone who's interested in reading now and everyone has become a fanatic too!

This thread has the feel of an AA meeting. So along those lines:

*stands, hangs his head and smiles somewhat sheepishly*

Hi, my name's Bill, I'm 32 years old and I'm a WoToholic. I've been addicted for nearly 16 1/2 years.( ) I began reading the series in March/April of 1990 at the end of my sophomore year in high school, and OMG does that feel like a long time ago...

Hi. I'm 34. I've been reading the Wheel of Time for 13 years now...

A librarian recommended the The Eye of the World to me when I was in college. That was around the time The Fire's of Heaven was first published.

welcome aussie homie. This thread has become our chill spot just like the backyard barbys at home...damn i miss those days. Luckers, you say 3000? i say you crazy need a shrink! then i say i need to get invited to one....because thats just a sick figure man! that would be like a house the size of John Howard's ass to fit so many!

Here in a country thats not actually a country, Hong Kong is a pewny place but ppl know how to partay. 7 million ppl cramped onto an island the size of an emu dropping seriously and you get this messed psychotic party vibe. I miss the footie though. You guys know how the fremantle dockers are doing recently? i was a fan but i lost track ages back.

Hey, names Joe and I live in a booooring town in PA. I am visually-impaired but can read but as you may understand I chose to listen to them, SR & LOC are 41 discs each. :) Started and finished them this past year and I got on to them cuz I thought I'd try New Spring and been addicted ever since. I'm 24.

Do or do not there is no try

P.S. These forums give me a laugh. keep up the good work

Hello !

Was curious about this question too...I'm 33. A lot of fans around 30-something...good, I'm not weird  ..wouldn't care anyway..

Found my favourite character in the last few books: Tuon...feisty little thing..who gets to marry Mart (his 'Dutch' name) 8)

And Aussies....we have housepartys here (in Amsterdam, the Netherlands) twice a year with 30,000 people...its actually held in a soccer stadium. Come and party !
