I don't think Balefire was used here... it is an excellent theory, but what I think LTT did was similar to what Rand did on top of Dragonmount. He drew as much of the Power as he could, and then turned it on himself. If he had balefired himself, the Dark One would have won, because the Pattern would have unraveled on itself.

You have found the right place. There is much to do, and the organizations are very welcoming. I have been having fun in the Band with @Cairos, and embracing my dark side in Shayol Ghul as well. The fun is there to be had! Check out the social groups, see what strikes your fancy! Start with the locked threads at the top and they will explain what you need to do to sign up. Most of the time, someone will reach out to you, but have a look around and ask questions on the threads and you should get answers to your questions. And, most of all, have fun!
