*Takes a swig from Damon's flask*

*Splutters*

*Shrieks in his face for about 10 minutes*

THAT WAS NOT KAF!

*sighs*

So has anyone caught our dinner yet?

*Turns to Fnorrll*

Any progress on that little task I gave you yet? Oh and why's Paet forming a marching band? Are we throwing a war?

Loran sighs as he watches warders building defenses between him and the rest of the band. He shakes his head and slips back into the shadows pulling another strange arrow from his quiver. He gives it a quick glance to check how acute the bend is. Nodding to himself he knocks the arrow, aims and fires. He watches for a moment as it zips off curving through the gap in the trees and lands on a sneaking bottom. He resists the strong urge to laugh as he watches the warder spin around stumbling and looking down at the arrow. "Turn the other cheek brother." he whispers to himself as he disappears into shadow again. They'll never figure out where that arrow came from. Suddenly a frog hops out in front of him and gives him a suspiciously intelligent look. He picks the frog up and puts it on his shoulder. Maybe it'll do something interesting, if nothing else it might serve as another distraction.

He knocks another bent arrow and draws his bow again as he spots a ripple in the air. With a grin he aims at the ripple and, adjusting for the strange curve of the arrow, he fires and watches the arrow whizz off. The ripple suddenly shifts and Loran shrugs to himself as he slinks off into the cover of darkness. He idly wonders where he hit that warder as he quickly arranges several whistling arrows for easy access. With a grin he fires them in different directions, one after the other. A series of whistles pierce the air in different places as he turns and vanishes back into his beloved shadows.

Finally he can turn to see how his arrows have worked. He chuckles to himself as he watches warders, some no more than ripples, hurrying in the direction of the whistles. With a shrug he stows away his remaining arrows and sneaks off, moving easily through the gaps he created in their defenses. He smiles to himself as he enters deeper into WT territory. Might be time to set up some traps... or maybe he should create bigger distractions in the very heart of the tower. He glances at the frog on his shoulder as he quietly approaches the edge of the easy shadow cover that has hidden him for so long. He stops there and carefully enters deep shadows to wait for an opportunity. Like any good archer he sits as still as the mighty tower itself, waiting with the confident patience of a cat at a mouse hole. Until he moves again, there is no chance of him being seen. He doesn't even allow himself to smile as he stays settled in his comfortable crouch in the shadows. When the time comes he will be ready to pounce.

*notices several arrows somehow flying into the full force of the air weaves he had set up protecting the tower. Shrugs and orders the weave to be strengthened*

Warders and Tower Guard! Hold your positions! Ignore distractions and hold the walls! We dont yet know wether these are our foe or exactly what their intent is, so dont do anything rash!

Sorry mother, but i cant tell which ones fit your instructions so no progress so far :) however... *gives elgee kaf to keep her preoccupied*

*then has a sister weave to amplify his voice as he addresses the figures in the distance.

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE AND WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS? WHO SPEAKS FOR YOU?

Loran glances over his shoulder and see arrows bouncing off something in the air behind him. Strange... looks like there is some kind of shield. Sounds like I won't be getting reinforcement any time soon. Watches Warders hurrying to the walls and grins as his opportunity finally arises. He steps out and grabs a surprised warder from behind and quickly knocks him out with the practiced efficiency of one practiced in assassination. He drags him under the cover of shadows quickly and strips off the carelessly tied cloak. No wonder it was so easy. He quickly puts the cloak on and hides his bow away in the bushes. Taking out his long dagger he slips out and easily passes through the last of the hurrying warders. Fortunately they're the late type who clearly aren't as observant and cautious as most. Pretending he knows where he's going he hurries back towards the tower. He doesn't have frogs this time... what should he do.

you know Damon, she has got a lot more shrieky since you came back. Im blaming you for that.

Yeah blame him! I mean how would you feel if you had a perpetual 2nd hand hangover? *sniffs*

Oh and good idea that, asking those people who they are, Fnorrie! Shoulda thought of that.

Hearing the cry for a response to be given as to who they were, Jea stopped her slow crawl towards the tower's library window, hoping no one would respond. Unfortunately, she was too far away to signal Deadly, but close enough to finally spot Loran, the craziest archer of the bunch. "What can he be doing already?" she muttered under her breath before following him, wondering curiously why the sound of frogs croaking was getting louder.

His mind runs through possible scenarios as he makes his way to the tower. He grabs some fresh vegetation and sneaks into one of the dorms. With a grin he lights up the vegetation and waits till it catches properly. There'll be little damage but the visual effects should draw attention. Before smoke can start getting out the window he moves to another dorm and does the same. He finishes with the sixth dorm in his random pattern before stopping with the distraction. It should take a little while for the warders to arrive so he has time to move on. Barely pausing to take a look at the thick black smoke rising from the dorms, he slips away into the shadows and disappears.

Loran grins to himself as he hears the sounds of frogs croaking. It would seem all the other frogs that he'd left lying around were making quite a lot of noise. It had been troublesome getting his hand on all those damn frogs.

S'more? *offers Volke a wonderful bit of smushyness*

*takes the S'more* you girls realize that we are under attack? and I'm pretty sure having a fire in the dorm of the White Tower is a pretty bad thing as well

We didn't start the fire we are just using it. The attackers seem pretty umm...not scary.

*smiles as she watches DL looking for a cute warder. Personally thinks DL shouldn't be distracted but then again Lessa has become a bit distracted herself. Continues observing the Warders and hopes Deadly has orders soon*

Still, put the fire out... and be wary of the attackers. We don't know how they fight yet other than try to distarct us
