I agree about BG. If he doesn't produce a plausible reason for his vote... it might be the case.

 

As for Vambram I understand your logic... I didn't get a scummy feel for him (which is why I didn't vote for him the previous day)... Then again, I was wrong about who I did vote for :/ Still, I prefer to wait and see if someone else has more ideas. We still have the lead of a scum starting with the letter A... but it would be the same toss up we had the previous day that ended with a townie getting lynched.

There are quite a few As left. So I suggest we put that aside and if one of them starts to act scummier then the rest then we go for them otherwise we could keep lynching innocents and finally only get one mafia which will mean its almost not worth it to lose all those innocents for a mafia. (thats asssuming the worst case when the last A we chose is the mafia)

Plus there is a whole lot more going on that we tend to ignore when we get too caught up in one lead

Yeah, we need to see what Red says about Key (thought I suspect she held her comments because she didn't want to confirm for mafia that Key is Rand). I've been for a Vambram lynch for a while, and I'm still for it, but hopefully something more solid emerges after everyone has a chance to check in.

Even though BG maintained that a Quibby vote was the best option, he seriously doubted Vambram as a force for good as he had voted for Vam yesterday. But today was a new day and Quibby was the best vote for this day.

I had a whole thing written on who we should be looking at. I copied it and was going to put it in a text file to post today since I didnt want to start a discussion during night. I copied to the clipboard and got distracted and never made it to the text file.

 

I looked at past days and the ones that ending bad for us have about 3-5 of the same names that are leading the lynches that have gone wrong.

 

Day 4 (town death):

Vambram (3): Ahmoondah, trench, Naeann

Naeann (1): Aust

Ahmoondah(13): Mynd, Aemon, Alanna, Red, killuliu, Song, Nyn, bg, Amadine, AJ, drew, Quibby, keyholder

Voted for town but didnt vote for scum on Day 3:

Mynd and Aemon.

 

Both cover for each, both claim for town. One always leads with the pitchfork and the torch. I say one of them needs a hanging. I dont trust Mynd one bit. When I accused him he got all of you to start looking at me.

 

Aemon lynch would settle up the Dragon theories.

So we have all 3 dragons out in the open (ill discount the unnamed ones). i wonder what Red will say?

 

i will continue to say what i have been saying. Aemon & Vam are not Rand AlThor and therefor cannot be the true Dragon. that is all i have to say on the issue.

Red is remaining tight lipped on that and I dont blame her.

 

But im still on lynching Vambram. Even if his lynch proves him town(I doubt it), it will point us at Aemon and Mynd as scum.

 

Curt I can see your point but I dont like lynching people just becaue they were wrong about a lynch. Active scum hunting does lead to a few miss lynches.

I don't like that Mynd has been trying to control the direction of the voting with his alphabet clue, but I also don't see him being so transparent as to keep his vote off a teammate's lynch.

 

I agree with player that we shouldn't let something like that direct us, but I think we might be able to use it as a test on him. I can narrow things down for us.

The first three are innocent - I know I am (if you can go with me on this), I also know that AJ is innocent and we are all fairly confident on Adella.

I'm still not sold on Aemon. The fact that Kwom messed with the night actions directed at Aemon on night one continues to have me uneasy. But let's work on the premise that he is indeed an innocent finder. That leaves us with Alanna and Amadine to take a look at today.

 

I'm not immediately suggesting we lynch either of them but it's worth scrutinizing their activity. Both tend to be quiet players. Alanna tends to make it to the end of most games she's in I think due to her reserved posting style. Ama is currently quite busy and this restricts her posting. I'm going to go back and take a look at them to see if anything stands out for me, and it would be helpful if others did the same.

 

If Mynd's claim is correct, one of the two of them must be scum.

Ok, so besides this seemingly innocent question, I don't like what's going on underneath the surface. He say 'surely' (Don't call me shirley!) and he says 'my friends', two works/phrases I don't like in this game. 'surely' puts other players on the defensive as it suggests they're stupid not to see the point the user is trying to make (not saying Vam is using it this way intentionally) and 'my friends' attempts to put everyone at ease. Both make me suspicious in mafia games. I also see this as role fishing or attempting to get information from the town in a tricksy way. No me gusta. This is enough for me to

Also, I'm going to follow my intuition and say that the mafia knows who the real dragon reborn is. In the books, there's a myrdraal following Rand from the beginning. Since it's past day one, I'm thinking the mafia has been informed who he(she) is but is unable to do anything due to the nature of Rand's role. I'm thinking no night actions affect him or something. This is just an observation. The Town is having to play some catch-up.

Considering that there are a ton of people in this game, I'm going to say no and that it's been luck up until this point.

When I voiced my frustrations over the lack of protecting going on in the game, I was specific at the killing of Perrin the Watcher (Songs 1.0) and how with her being the most obvious target for the mafia to take out that NO ONE protected her. Vambram's post, however, is nearly comical in its desperation to appear innocent. First off, since when are night kills not very lethal? Would you rather be killed by a semi-lethal night kill? I suppose a friendly-happy-go-lucky night kill or a mildly-annoying-pinch-of-the-bum night kill would be alright, but then it wouldn't be a kill now would it?

 

Secondly, it truly bothers us all (innocents) to lose important Town players and characters because of the Night Kills, but it is equally bothersome to lose them during the day as well. These should be understood, so why does Vambram trying so hard to look innocent here? Its almost TOO comical though, like "Gee-Gosh-Golly, I hope we don't lose more Town Players today!" So blatant an attempt at looking innocent could either be a really comical attempt at looking innocent or so over the top it begs one to scoff "Yeah right!" Does he WANT us to lynch him?

Ok, so now Krak is taking the bait and voting to lynch Vambram (after BushyDrew) because he sees this as the same desperate attempt to look innocent as I; however, he adds that it looks like role-fishing. SERIOUSLY? If that is an attempt at role-fishing from a mafia, then we must be playing against a bunch of window-lickers. If anyone were to fall for such a "role-fishing" attempt, they deserve the tar and feathering that would surely (Shirley?) follow.

 

With plenty of time to debate this lynch, I don't see why Krak or BushyDrew are rushing in here, as wise men say only fools do. Point and laugh at Vambram's post, consider possible compulsion by the real mafia, but to lynch him for that? Perhaps when we get closer to deadline, but Krak is missing the most important reason to lynch Vambram....

 

This whole Dragon Reborn business. We have some false claimers out there, of which Red is dutifully stamping them with their "NOT RAND" seal. She even stamped me when I fake claimed, which is going to be comical when you find out which character I am. We probably should at some point lynch one of these false dragons to discover their nature, alignment, etc, to see if they are really a threat or just a regular misguided townie.

This is interesting, especially since we all have a pretty good idea who Rand is now; however, I have some problems with your "intuition" here. First, if the mafia have known who Rand is, why haven't they tried to lynch him? Has there been a solid push on the True Dragon Reborn's lynch? Also, such a role would make the rest of the characters in this game tertiary and I doubt that Womby structured such a lopsided game. Do we lose if Rand dies? Not according to my PM.

 

Of course the Town is playing catch-up! The Mafia have their own little clubhouse of doom in the taint of Shayol Ghul where they hold their little mafia meetings and plot and scheme and pout. With the exception of the (alleged) Masons, no one else could communicate off thread, so we've had to share our info here.

I propose we continue to debate this. For one, I'd like to know more now about the Masons. I find it curious that at least one of the two claimed masons were not night kill targets last night. If I were mafia, I'd have whacked BG last night. What if BG is faking his compulsion and Vambram is really the one under said spell? Or maybe BG is telling the truth and Vambram's innocent post deserves a lynch?

As for why the mafia haven't tried to lynch Rand...idk maybe they didn't want to be too obvious. Your guess is probably as good as mine though.
