Gah! I'm sorry... I've been sick and haven't been online to check to see that the game started! I see we have someone already claiming to be Rand and Red is still posting novels each time she replies to something.

 

Interesting theory that he could be a false dragon. I'd like to hear more from his accuser. (I forgot who.. I just read 14 pages) Aemon is more than capable of spinning a lie to manipulate the game but he could be telling the truth...

Simply put (after my last rambling incoherent post):

 

1. Way too early for Rand to be proclaiming the Dragon

2. Even if he was assigned a role that allows him to get a power by proclaiming, it has to happen before Day 4.

3. WoT timeline shows that early in the series there were many False Dragons. What if Aemon is Mazrim Taim (or equivalent)?

4. It could all be an elaborate lie - "Who would kill the Dragon Reborn?" thinks darkfriend Aemon.

 

If he is telling the truth, I still do not believe he is the Real Dragon Reborn. He won't convince me he is easily. For me to retract my vote, I'd need some sort of proof, which in this game is near impossible.

Or... he needs to retract his claim as the Real Dragon, and I will be satisfied.

Wouldn't that prove that he is a false dragon and therefore probably not innocent, and therefore gives you a reason to lynch aemon. By retracting his claim he would look very guilty, which is obviously not what aemon wants to do. (I hope! :D)

correction, he's claiming to be the DR, and people are assuming this means Rand (which is dangerous) there are Flase Dragons. and i'm not posting Novels, i liek to think of them as Short Stories but i get the drift. still, there is alot i like to adress, and seeing as most times the activity level in games is high when i'm not on the net, i tend to post large to get everything said.

 

i accuse him of being a false dragon because i see it more of a scum ploy to get the real dragon to counter. Aemon's first reason for claiming was because it "would be helpful to him to do so before he got hammered" when he didn't even have majority of the votes.

 

now he's singign a different toon with some clever BS of "claiming unlocks a power" yet again i can't understand why he would claim this early in the game. and even so, why he would need to paint such a large target on his back to get a power. that makes no sense, especially seeing how central the Dragon is to good over comming evil in this series.

 

 

as to why i think he's Taim rather than Lgain when talking abotu False Dragons. Logain is a good guy, Taim is evil. if Aemon was a good guy, why would he want to false claim as the Dragon? claiming to be the DR only causes confusion, and the only people who benefit from confusion are scum!

Even if he is a false dragon, that doesn't mean that he's mafia. I am starting to wonder if you are a false dragon, bgrishinko. Or at least a dragon who think he's the real one. Which could mean we don't ever know who the real one is...gah confusing.

 

Either way, it seems like we should concern ourselves more with scumhunting than dragon-hunting. I'm a little suspicious of Red, at the moment. I still fail to understand why mafia would make this ridiculous claim, what it would gain them, so early on. Aemon has provided a reasonable explanation as to why he would make the claim as an innocent. But why do it as mafia?

OKay, in response to the new post by Red: it seems it may be possible that the false dragons, if there are some in this game, don't really know that they are false dragons. To answer your question about why would Logain, a good guy, false claim. Didn't Wombat say no one got specific character names anyway? Just that you might be able to figure out who you are from your PM.

 

As for this power he supposedly gets, it's possible that it's protective in nature. Which would explain why he would want it asap, and why he would risk revealing to do so.

 

You're saying he might be mafia, doing this to get the real dragon to reveal. That is possible, I guess. It's not a risk I would ever take, but then, we are talking about Aemon here

 

Still, I'm not nearly convinced enough to risk voting him.

Let's say Aemon isn't a DF (or Mafia if you prefer). Let's say he even actually thinks he might be the Real Dragon Reborn.

 

Scenario A:

He is not real. Is it worth it to gain a power to pronounce now... only to discover later that you are not the One and deal with those consequences? Logain got gentled. Not good.

Scenario B:

He is the Dragon Reborn. Isn't it foolish to proclaim without proof? Despite getting a power, wouldn't you want to have something to back up your claim?

Rand was kept on the down low until he did something big enough to support his claims.

 

Either way, as a good person, declaring so early would be foolish except to gain a power. It doesn't do much to stop the Shadow.

As a bad person, well, it has potential to draw in supporters and followers. As we have seen already.

 

He can always re-pronounce later on when there is evidence that he is our great leader. No problems.

You lost me on this post. It looked like you were counter-claiming and then you turned around and you "believe I am a false Dragon". That is a far cry from your first statement where you are calling me scum and saying your coroner report will prove you right. I'll be more than happy to see your coroner report after we lynch you.

 

I was not told what power I would receive, but I figured it would be something worth having. Since I have come out and am now a serious target I might as well reveal that the power I got was finder.

Aemon, I'll beg your indulgence if you think I'm doubting you, but I'm doubting you. I don't remember offhand who brought it up, and I don't have time to look back (sorry, original idea person, between classes), but I'm inclined to agree that there will be people in the game who are False Dragon roles, whether they are aware of the fact or not. This does not mean that they're evil (again, sorry original idea person), which is why I question lynching a DR claim outright. If nothing else, there might be a character modifier that makes him go mad. That would be fun to watch.
