Yes.. that was an awesome game.  DPR... that's where you realized you had to kill me early before you did your fake reveals because I saw thru them. :-*  Daetirion was the SK and killed Sirayn.. who was laying low for awhile to likely come at everyone when we were at our weakest.

Oh, I remember a game we played once, no idea what the name was, dont remember. But everyone was allowed to talk outside the thread, to make alliances and stuff. It was all very fun and well, until someone on my mafia team were "charmed" by... Mynd I think, so she told him everything, who was mafia, all our plans, everything, and he of course wrote it ont he thread, complete with a screenpic of their msnconvo. We still managed to win the game, no idea how, but I suspect it was because it was Mynd, and no one wanted to believe him anyways  ;D

I think that was Streets of New York - I loved letting everyone talk - that was great. And I just realized how many times i've had to kill Nae before I pulled a fast one. It's almost likr my mafia laundry list reads 1. Have black suit pressed. 2. Kill Nae...heh

Seriously, sometimes it is like random.org knows what we are thinking. Didn't we even debate whether to go through and change them? Anyway, fun times.

My most shameful moment is leading a lynch on the uncontested finder. The Dr. was already dead and there wasn't a ton of pressure on him yet and he revealed. I thought it was the scum trying to flush out the real finder. Must to my dismay and Eddie poking me we lynched him to find out he was the real finder.

 

I wasn't town, I was the SK, but I got one free innocent viewing. I would have liked to keep him around.

 

Meesh, the Aiel game I did something very similar. When I became cult, after lynching the finder *Sadness*, I lead the town after the cult instead of the mafia. So the mafia wasn't going to kill me and I just guided them away and the night kills from the cult towards the town.

I'm committing this to memory. If the three of us are ever in a game together, and Nae dies early, Wes, you're up next. Of course, I could be scum and framing you.....lol. Either way, I bet it works.  ;)

 

These stories are great! And thanks for the details, guys. I'd love to run a game where people can talk off-thread. I may just do that. Sounds fun!

I read that WOT thread on Myndjack Pandy!  *glowers*  It was in my own little "teach myself something about mafia before I sign up" training session and then my first game out of the box I'm put on a mason team and spent the whole time wondering if my teammate was town like me.  I learned the difference between mason and neighbor that way, but it made for a very short QT for that game (3 posts total). 

 

I also giggle about lasting to endgame in that first game because the town found me suspicious but had better targets each day, and the mafia didn't NK me because they thought I might be a symp.  :)

I haven't played a mafia game over here for quite some time but my favorite game was at Jeran's Back to the 80;s game at MJ. I was the Solo Win Serial Killer and managed to convice the innocents that I was the Vig, won the whole thing ;D

 

Verbal also had a new fast mafia set up he tried out over at MJ where I was the Jester, trying to get myself lynched to win the game. It took me less than 48 hours and one round of voting to get myself lynched. Evevn people I play with alot were like "What's wrong with you, you're acting strange?" Muahahaha, they lynched me anyway! ;D ;D ;D

the 2fer1 gambit and reys game were awesome :)  yet the moment in Mafia i'm most proud of right now would be in Nea's Movie maddness Mafia.

 

i was Forest Gump the finder.  i role claimed day 2 because i felt th enoose tightening aroudn my neck and thoguht it was obvious i was finder, then i had to beat off a pesky pandy jester who tried to counter my role claim.

 

the best part came after i helped lynch two mafia members then was recruited.  it was just me and Aust then, later Wombat joined us because of Min's little slip up in her death post.

 

 

but i got to go head to head with lily and win *grins*  the mafia ended up winning and that put a rather large feather in my cap

That was the Civil War game, and it was you, me, Jelly and Sira.  Sira got randomly SK'd before she could even start playing. Kivy got lynched I think, and I did a prisoner-bomb fake reveal that was working really well. The Dude was my last real obstacle in that game, and I had led a lynch on him. It was a done deal - but the the mods didn't call it and someone unvoted, and the whole thing unraveled...

 

Jelly did do a really good job though. I remember that was within the time period where everyone was having the mafia double-cross each other, so even though she was on the mafia team, I never trusted her. *facepalms* I had a paranoid streak for a while after the game where Loki turned out to be a mafia finder and took us all down.

 

Heh, I was the symp in that game.  I even tried to lead a lynch on Dude, after he was pretty much confirmed innocent.  That was my first symp role ever.

I KNEW that was why you kept me alive! You brat! I knew she was mafia, but after I led a lynch on and successfully lynched the healer - twice - nobody would listen to me! You have to admit my logic was sound, though. Revealed finder still alive + dead healer = finder having been recruited by the mafia. What else could it mean? But nobody would listen, and I mean NOBODY! I kept hoping they would kill me and end the torture, but no....... Red kept me alive to torture me, I swear. I couldn't even get lynched! *is retraumatized by the memory*

I really enjoyed Red's Scooby-Doo mafia when I was Mafia with Ed and we managed to hold everyone off and I sacrificed myself for the team, and Ed managed to defeat the last 3 town and we won!!!  Wait, that's not right...

now now.  i didn't lie to the town, i told them all of my viewings *grins* i just used the WIFOM placed by Aust and wombat and lily to our benifit to twist the facts.

 

such as continuing the thought that after min's slip up Aust might be made unlynchable, a thought proposed by Krak.  or about the possability of recruitings, i carefully stated "when i veiwed them" and "ofcourse that could have changed"
