No one has really asked any questions out loud about this stuff, and that's had me worried. Figuring out the mechanics could tell us what roles we should be looking for...and how to win when we have the abnormal win condition for the mafia.

 

I've personally also been pondering this:

WIN CONDITIONS:

 

The win conditions for the scum in this game are unusual.  Yes, they will win if they can kill you all.  But they will also win if they all die - as long as: 1) the Vessel is alive; and 2) another condition (that only they know) has been met.

Is this about the relics? Is this about recruitment or finding of the vessel?

most boring night ever. few are saying anything about the turn of events even when they post. :/ granted we know little, but we could discuss things instead of standing around waiting like a bunch of strangers who would rather pretend they aren't in the same room as all of the other addicts  waiting for the next meeting. kivy doesn't do the silent night rule.

All right. Let's talk. I think we can all agree there had to have been at least a few baddies on the Al Jenn bandwagon. Any suggestions on who they might be? A lot of people seem to think the peopkle more toward the middle are the likely bad guys with maybe one more at the end to put in the hammer. I don't kniow about that. Day 1 being Day 1, I think it's just as likely that a townie put the hammer on Al. I have nothing to go on in the Day 1 posts and I have just done a complete reread. With this lack of new insight, I will probably continue Day 2 with the same vote I had on day !. I have no "gut instinct". There is nothing "scummy" that I can see about him. But the same applies to everyone else. The only thing I can say is he was on the Al Jenn bandwagon and he is a middle voter. I know that means nothing in the final analysis, and I fully expect people to question me on it, but I'll just tell you the same thing I just said. I will obviously change my vote if something suspicious shows up, but if not...

Does no one grow tired of the "I think there are mafia in the bandwagon" theory?  "Theres some at the beginning!  There's some in the middle somewhere!  No, they clinched it!"  Well, they are likely somewhere in the vote. ::)  No kidding?!?  There's also likely at least one NOT on the vote!  They are everywhere!

 

 

I can honestly say, having played the game for about 3 years almost non-stop now, that I have been at nearly every spot (beginning, middle, end, not voting on the bandwagon) while mafia.  That theory is kinda pointless to me for that reason.  I don't pick a set spot to vote when innocent or mafia.  I find a good reason to have my vote where it is and I vote when I find that reason.  (barring day one nonesense)

Wow. What a tirade. Did you even read the post? It's pretty obvious that there will be mafia somewhere on the bandwagon. Just as obvious, many of the people on the bandwagon are NOT mafia. I said I didn't know who they are and that I would keep my vote on the same person as day 1 because I have no idea who the mafia is. I do think that was an overly strong reaction to an "i don't have a clue who's scum" post, though.

Call it whatever you want Aemon.  I'm just frankly sick of the "theres scum on the bandwagon" crap that's posted in every game.  No kidding there is scum on the bandwagon.

 

Yes I read your post.  You asked where the scum might be on the bandwagon and I stated that I don't think you can tell that based on where they vote.  I then gave my reasons for thinking that.  I have been first, middle, last on votes as scum and as innocent.  I don't think you can determine that DPR, Quibby, and Barm must be scum because of where they voted. ::)

 

You then said that you are voting for Quibby for no real reason.. just because you decided to go after him again even though he's not particularly scummy to you.

 

You then said that seems scummy OF you to do and that people will question it.  When I came back with questioning it saying theres no real way to tell WHERE on the vote scum might be you start jumping on me.  :-* 

 

Not so much an "i dont have a clue" post, Aemon... more like a "I'm voting for someone I DONT really think is scum and jumping down on the first person to question me" post.

 

My "overly strong" reaction is to the pointless post you did and your announcing that you are voting for someone you don't think is scummy.. "just because" and I was pointing out how that theory is silly to me. (about where the scum might be on a vote count)

A rather facetious statement as EVERYONE knows there were mafia on the bandwagon. That's only logical. I used that as an openeing statement for my post. Kind of a jumping off point, if you will.

Here I merely ask for peoples opinion on who the mafia on the bandwagon might be. Nothing shocking there, really.

Voicing my thoughts on who I will vote for and stating that he was in the middle of the Al Jenn bandwagon. Have you got anything better to go on? Why don't you enlighten us rather than complain about my method of choosing a candidate? I'd also like to point out the italicized portion. The same applies to everyone else. I have staed before that I have no idea who the scum is. I am asking people to give me their thoughts and ideas.

I never said that I would seem scummy for it. I said I knew that people would question me on it. I did not expect an all out blitzkrieg on such a simple post that accuses no one of nothing.

This comment was made to encourage people to read the post carefully before replying to it as I have nothing new to add untol people start posting again and I can make an informed decision on who should get my day 2 vote.

Well, if that isn't someone begging for evidence to vote for the scum, I don't know what is. Yet after this, all you can think to do is attack me. Attack the fact that I mentioned a method you have no faith in and try to turn it into a witch hunt on me. I'll be keeping my eye on you, but I think you are just overly sensitive to that method of looking for scum. I hope this clarification helps you understand better my previous posts.  ;D

 

This looks completely like an "I don't know who the scum is" post to me. I don't know how you could have gotten a different meaning from it. But that's all right. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
