What movie or TV show made you cry unexpectedly?

Two movies.

One was Bridge to Terebithia.  I went and saw that in the theaters (not having read the book) and thought "man, this is a good 'coming of age' story."  Then I remembered what happens in "coming of age stories" and yup, some one dies.  Made me cry, I'm unashamed, and not Canadian.

The other was Big Fish because of my dad being dead.  Saw that in the theaters also.  When I had to go to the restroom and after the movie I had the hood of my sweatshirt up so no one could see my tears.  Then the next day at work my boss said, "saw you at the movies last night."  I felt embarrassed. :-[

If there is a movie that is supposed to evoke some kind of tears--I shall evoke them, with very little provocation.

I'm serious. I don't know why-- day to day stuff, or even real life drama I'm pretty much a hard ass...but when it comes to movies or TV shows--I weep like an infant.

For example: I've already shed tears watching Dollhouse. I've cried watching Buffy, Angel, The Office, Heroes, Chuck...yeah, it's fairly pathetic. I don't even watch TV with my husband anymore, as he thinks it's hilarious and makes fun of me.

Movie wise--Last night I watched "He's Just Not That Into You" and cried. I watched Monsters vs. Aliens and cried. I am a movie crybaby. It's disgusting.  >:(

Are ya a girl? Or just canadian?

Until you've seen that episode, you have no idea what you're talking about.

I saw that episode back when it first came out, and not from the re-airings like you!

Well this explains why barms is unfunny!

I cry at movies, tv shows, and books all the time.  My dad is the same way, so we usually count the number of tissues we've used by the end and compare who cried more (he always cries the most).  Notable movies that really made me cry were Big Fish (it was a 26 Kleenex movie for my dad, though, so I can't compete with that), The Notebook, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Black Beauty, Titanic (I know, let the mocking commence), and Brokeback Mountain.

I'm like that too. I don't cry much day-to-day, but with tv/movies, I'll cry in almost anything. It doesn't even have to be something sad, sometimes I'll just tear up at something touching or meaningful.

Let's see, most recently...lol, I watched Wrath of Khan for the first time last night and I totally cried at the end. I didn't think I would, because I knew what was going to happen (and what happens in the third ST movie), but it was still really sad.

Yeah, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button--I shall never watch it again. That movie was my emotional kryptonite. We're not talking the pretty silent tears--we're talking the gut wrenching sobs that make onlookers want to giggle inappropriately because they don't know how else to react.

The Notebook--I refuse to watch this movie, because I believe it was specifically filmed to make women cry.

Marley & Me: ugh...that one was rough too. I don't know what it is about pets...but yikes.

You kidding me? TCCoBB was totally not a tear jerker in any shape or form! It was a rip off of Big Fish! (Kinda, instead of a tale being told by an old dieing guy, its being told by an old dieing woman, and instead of a movie about life, its a movie about death. :P)

Maybe I'm just a cold hearted bastard.

oh wait, I am. ^_^
