Frensh gals are only nice when they are not in France. If they have home ground advantage, then forget about it!

Well, maybe you got a few things to learn, kid ;)

we can but try.  :P

hmm, we're getting a little off-topic here, so maybe i should just throw in an obligatory reference to the original subject.

terry goodkind is a rotten writer.

I have no interest at all. Some buxom Swedish bikini models wouldnt go astray though mate  ;)

Tell you what, I trade you one for a pet koala;)

Not into Swedish chicks at all.

Though, they are more interesting than Goodkind...

1. Chicks =/= chickens, unless you are very, very weird in a scary way.

2. Foie gras is made from goose or duck, Never chicken. And certainly Never Ever chicks. Ok, a certain Hannibal might have other ideas, but... ;D

seriously, terry goodkind has found a way to get paid to masturbate intellectually.  that's my summary of his work in a single phrase.

Sounds to me like hes the shred guitar of fantasy literature.  at least my friend and i use the word masturbate to describe shred guitar.

My stepbrother used to read his books, but he was about 13 at the time as well.  Granted at the time he was reading them he would dog Oasis.  durring the time when they only had out Definitely Maybe, and Morning Glory.  Hands down their two best albums.  And then when they put out "dont believe the truth" (which i must note is one of the greatest album titles ever, but a horrible album by any sort of standard.) hes all talking them up, gone to a concert of theirs and the like.  needless to say I dont trust his opinion on anything.

be careful.  seems to me those books might be like Fox News.  My theory is that fox news viewers originally were going to watch fox news for entertainment value, but after viewing for 5-10 minutes their brain melts, and then they believe everything that is said on fox news, and can never turn away.  its just a thought.

Faith is better.

Soul of the Fire is partially about Bertrand Chanboor and his wife, Hildebrand- her an evil schemer, himself a sensualist that is politically clever but endangers everything in skirts. They're based on the Clintons- Goodkind said as much.

Then there's the book Richard doesn't appear in until the last couple of Chapters, but which has a noble goat. And people who don't see evil, because they're hippies, but can be taught. That's kinda the low point . . .

The one you are refering to is called "pillars of Creation", if im not mistaken. Possibly the worst book I have read. It was the last of the Goofkind series I read.

I actually quite enjoyed the first 3 books back in the days. Its allright, kind of fast-paced fantasy. But then it goes so bad.

I had to reread the first book, after I saw this thread. And I have to agree. Its just hilarious at times. There is several chapters where the "shadow Things" are the threat. It gets funny when you read it 10 times in a page. "the shadow things was ........"

I really liked.... god am I saying this?... Wizard's First rule. When I read a Stone of Tears, my first thought was WTF?!

But I continued. And the net book I liked, sort of, was Faith of the Fallen, and I don't remember why. And I am not interested in that either.

I personally can't stand porn in books. Maybe thats why I don't like both GRR Martin and Terry Goofsking.

RJ does that nicely enough to suit me.

But yeah, I realized that when I first saw all the TG bashers out there. What I failed to understand the first time I read that shit.

Terry Goodkind sucks. And from those interviews... my god.

I want to be a writer, and a fantasy writer more than anything. Any writer who denies the genre he is writing in, is nothing shor of crap. WoT swear words are wasted on guys like them. There, I flaming said it.
