And that's why they are important. Mafia really struggle to be consistent and show progression if they are forced to continuously say what they are thinking. I personally don't care about the 1-11 no reasons ones. Because the devil is in the details.

Opinions  vary of course.

I disagree. Last game it was easy to go back and read my old posts and just make sure I said similar stuff or made a show about why I changed

BUT just my two cents :).

The mechanical discussion is bad wasin part due to mafia nearly outnumbering town and not wanting that possibility discussed.

 TMI and spew are real.

What about all the role talk this game? I feel like that hindered town.

Some of that was generated by the 1 time investigate you gave Heavy.  Not knowing it was to fix an error did make town seem OP in the PR department and thus devaluing Heavy claim (which he botched - imformant- wtf man?)

Many people  don't put that much effort in. They just say whatever they want people to hear in the moment and hope no one checks.

Spoiler

I check myself too.

Sure, I get that. But, at the same time, if folks had focused on how someone was playing rather than relying on mechanics it could have gone differently.

Not saying anyone did anything wrong. Just an observation.

I'm too worried about being a "good student" not to check lol.

Not everyone does this.  There is a reason you won that game.

I agree with Key - the reason I like lists is because you can see what the Town is thinking. If 5 out of 10 players are sus on one player, there’s a god chance it’s worth focusing on.

I think town would do better if they spent more time suspecting mafia instead of suspecting town.

This is hard to picture. Maybe you could  provide a demonstration? I think a game just opened sign-ups… 🤣

I may be misremembering, but as I recall you barely posted in that game, that is why your dissection of my case on DPR should have been blatantly obvious to anyone (not that I'm bitter, obviously). Keeping things consistent would be more difficult the more you interact with the thread, for any alignment.

Though as someone that has never been a wolf I am guessing a bit there.

And just to point out the smugness of the winning teams again (oh it wasn't difficult for me when we whipped your sorry butts, lol, LOOSERS!).

Though just to emphasise, I'm absolutely not bitter at all.

Was this in response to me? I wasn't trying to be smug.

Well, my point is about lists and that it's easy to go back and read my own previous lists before I write a new one to ensure similarity. I made lists a lot in that game, even if I didn't interact with people.

Oh we worked hard, Heavy. Super hard.

Ithi did for sure. And, in regard to me and not being around a ton, I would argue it's also difficult NOT to react when you are being discussed in thread.

Oh I'm not serious. I get winning feels good, I get taking those risks and seeing them pay off feels good. I just haven't personally experienced that yet, lol

So when I say I'm not bitter... perhaps it would be better to say I'm trying, lol.

I don't think that there's any smugness. We all play the same game and win some lose some.

I think you are reading things that aren't there.

And if a team wins, it's ok for them to celebrate that, be they Mafia or Town. They will have worked to win and that deserves recognition.

I don't think it's right to neg people who are happy about how they played.

Totally - but as Turin was bringing up last game (though admittedly with Town players) when you are arguing and debating often your "I always had x as town" might not actually match your lists. Then it obviously comes down to how do you read it, but it would still be easier as a "fake" reader to only concentrate on a limited number of players and then invent whatever was necessary about their thoughts on the rest as necessary, whereas a list limits that ability.

That said, I am standing by my take that I may never give a list again.
