It would be annoying if being suspicious of me was NAI. Would crimp my style slightly. I guess you have to ask yourself, who is more benefited by "a post that says nothing" a wolf or town? And who is more benefited by calling out "a post that says nothing" as AI? I'm not saying anything as Town, I have nothing to say. 

 

What is argument against me again? What have I done that is in the favour of the wolves?

First bold - why is being suspicious of you AI?  We don't know what you are?? It would be weirder, imo, if someone didn't act suspicious of another player.  Especially one, and I do not mean to be mean here, that is speaking in an over the top manner.

 

Italics - It's better for a wolf because then they can look like they are active without having to actually do anything. How is a post saying nothing good for town??

I play by evaluating incentive structures. People who are desperate not to die (and who therefore react strongly to suspicion) must have a reason. Wolves are outnumbered, so they have a reason to want to stay alive. So do town with important roles, but those have a way to alleviate suspicion by claiming later if they can't use words to do it.

I do agree that it doesn't seem to be AI though.  To me Heavy reads like new town, if only because I don't see new scum doubling down on the very thing that someone has called them out for.  I know when I was new scum I preferred to not get entangled with anyone if I could avoid it.

Joke vote part: I was saying that joke votes don't matter usually. Heavy was taking them very seriously. But sometimes they do, so I didn't want to gloss over that. 

 

Memery: I was messing with Turin. He was trying to make the game serious and I was saying that we might fluff post right over the top of him.

 

As for my take on Heavy, how exactly is what I said any different from him being new town, as you said? I said he sounds like the new kid on a block of people who all know each other already.

Anyways, I was going to start with that Heavy is heavy on the prose, and yes I do know that very well.

 

But the reaction on my vote was massive. He went from I hate you you wolfy wuffer, to it's not fair you all pick on me, to well I guess this is the way it must be, to I don't care Lynch me anyways. Basically the five stages of grief in like, 3 pages? Wasn't expecting quite so much.

 

Ok back to my attempt to quote stuff from Marsh with his reactions to Heavy. 1st post, says no alignment read on Heavy.  2nd post puts alignment as Mafia 1st but still might be Town. 3rd post unvotes. 4th post Asks Heavy to explain his posts. Mafia who doesn't want to die or Town with important roles.

 

So now I'm thinking. Is Marsh a Mafia who knows Heavy is Town or is Marsh a Mafia who is trying to help out a team mate? 

 

Either way, I now have Marsh as Mafia twice and Heavy only once. Which means, in the What's behind that Door? Game, you always pick the other door.

Don't really like Dice's eliminating for the lols - but again, lols is hardly AI and he has not really taken it anywhere - hasn't manufactured an argument and then doubled down or anything like that.

 

Didn't like Ithi's reasoning for her vote on me - but it was early doors and someone has to make the first real vote. But Ithi is also casting suspicion on nearly everyone that says something - which I would be a lot more suspicious of if I wasn't doing the same thing. So there is that.

 

Ed is poking people but not really contributing, and that pretty much goes for everyone else in terms of solving but at this point I don't think I can argue that it is AI, there has not really been enough activity to hunt for wolves in. Easter weekend and all that. Things should heat up towards DL, though I have seen that unless at least one wolf is actually under suspicion that can hurt rather than help.

Also I am still very much feeling that Heavy might be Mafia. As you can see, in his more recent posts, he is perfectly capable of posting in regular sentences. 

 

I still feel that his initial posts were overly crafted and careful to say nothing at all and I'm not sure why a Town person would feel they needed to be that careful. 

 

But then the sudden pop up defence from Marsh made him far more interesting.

"Sustained" was in reply to Marsh answering my question. I was joking, using court slang. it's when a lawyer raises an objection to the judge amd the judge accepts it. I guess I'm not as funny as I thought 😜 

 

As for dice, I'm willing to call it a feeling right now. It started with him lightly shading me for joke voting him around the time Marsh did.

 

Then his reaction to heavy isn't exactly what I'd expect, I suppose. I would think dice would be more understanding to a noob losing it from possibly mere inexperience and/or an inherent tendency to be a scummy player regardless of rand. This is of course loosely based on my impression thus far and is contingent to that impression being correct, but his lol welcome to mafia, I'd lynch you cause you've never been lynched before... dunno.

 

Plus, and this could be me just being extremly self centered (lol), but considering I haven't played in over two years, that he got me to sign up, and factoring in our usual dynamics in games, I feel like he's being a bit stand offish with me thus far. Ie might be keeping a bit of a distance. Begs the question, why? I'm pretty awesome.

 

In any case, I'd really like him to place an actual serious vote. Cause the shift from Marsh to heavy isn't doing it for me. If he actually gave the impression that he was suss of heavy then I prolly wouldn't mind it. But that's not the case.

My reads are based on opinions of town behaviour from Ithi and Nyn. The questioning, and looking at little things from Ithi. General tone and something I've forgotten from Nyn. I'll have to look back. Dice said he would be willing to lynch Heavy regardless of alignment. That is antitown behaviour.  He engaged in anti Town behaviour last game and was mafia. Ironeyes did seem to be defending Heavy. Regardless of Heavy's alignment it seems early to defend anyone. 

 

My activity is down in part because I'm a bit broken from last game. I'm taking it a little slower while I settle in. Also, I've been watching ALL OF THE REACTIONS to episode 8, which has been enjoyable and enlightening. But that's for another thread.

 

I admit I didn't really follow the sign up too closely for above reasons. I also wanted to hear his response directly.
