Just a heads up, I don't think I can have a normal day if I keep checking over this thread every few minutes, so I'll be checking in every hour or few hours so my activity will be low unless I'm feeling bored.

I should be positive about you by the end of the day phase, feeling pretty good so far.   Liking Zander.  Kaylee should be town unless she's wholeheartedly focusing on pocketing me.  I skimmed a lot at work today so I'll probably need to reread before EOD, but there are a fair number of missing still.

 

It's posts like this that make me feel good about Tress. If she was trusting me and calling me town without hesitation then I'd know she was scum. Her hesitation and waiting to post more in depth thoughts is in line with her town meta. (I can read her and Nyn best meta wise. Everyone else I take meta with a grain of salt.)

Could be. Let me put it this way. I often read him wrong. His style I don't get if that makes sense. Last game we played together he was mod confirmed IC (Innocent Child) and I still didn't trust him. He was almost playing against town. I suppose when I feel worst about him he's more likely town, but I can't use meta to read him. As far as his play goes I can see him making the posts as either alignment and it just keeps me second and third guessing his slot. Don't know if that was clear but it's what goes through my head reading him.

ldo = Like duh obviously. Some of gthe acronyms I don't know. FTFY = fixed that for you. Not sure what other ones you need clarity on. If the quote the person and ask them it's the best way since then you know where they're coming from.

Mafia is the name, meta is the game. Some people like to determine who's in their town crew from D1 based on meta and this lets them get a better idea of who's scum in later days. Not my way necessarily but it's worked for them. There have been games where a wrong D1 read screws them later in the game. Or mafia get snuffed pretty quick.

 

Meh, meta is weak sauce.  And I dont know anyone's meta, so it's completely useless from me.  And using meta doesnt mean you have to declare people town, in fact, it would be more useful to do the opposite. Declaring people town is stupid and provides cover.  It's a terrible way of scum hunting because it isnt scum hunting.

 

I like this post. Shows how you think and could make it easier to read you since we've never played together before. While it isn't scum hunting it can be helpful. For instance with Tress and Nyn I use it to know if I can trust them when I'm town. I've played enough with them to know they're style. It's town hunting and can help clear the potential list of suspects. I don't lock them in for it, but I look elsewhere if I feel I can trust them. If they do something sketchy then I reevaluate, but otherwise I like to find at least one person I feel might be town.

Alright.

 

The Nature Guidebook to Zander is long and boring but tldr he's displaying patterned suspicion rather than just shouting random crap.

 

Dice has fooled me enough lately that I know my read on him isn't worth jack, but his level of involvement is giving me more of a Tarmon Gaidon vibe where I read him correctly for a broad range of reasons than Disney and the JN game where I read him town incorrectly based on a few details.

 

Hermes felt like he was trying to get the game rolling and produce readable material from people, and that comes from a villager at that stage of the game more often than not. In the absence of meta it's typically town play. His awkwardness felt like trolling/having fun with it while still trying to make a read or two rather than wolf awkwardness. I'm not impressed with his pop-in so far today but he's off to a good start from my pov.

 

Darthe might be wishful thinking more than anything else. I liked his response when I questioned his Notbob read and while I recognize he has a pretty diverse range of playstyles up his sleeve he's generally less inclined to make reasoned reads early as a wolf. I don't but terribly much weight into the read but for that stage in the game he could be a villager.
