I've read the game, I'll say that.  I have not, however, paid enough attention to the game that I can form a reads list yet.  It has been a long time since I played a game with this many players, so I'm actually kinda hoping bodies hit the floor over this next phase or two and thin the herd out.

 

THEN I'm prepared to go ham.  Until then, I have a few soft town reads (Dice, Darthe) and everybody else is WTL.  That said, I might not want to lynch Hermes (I did at first) - his explanations have seemed to come from a townie POV.

That's fine, but if he is like "I'm a member of the Order because blah blah" and y'all go "no if you were Order you would have known x" and then we lose that advantage for the same result, well, I could see something like that happening. We can hear what he has to say but that doesn't mean we should debate with him.

Plus you already gave the best point that makes him scum. We had three kills last Night all from demons and according to your result he has a gun.

That's what made me doubt town. With two town teams a killing role just seems too much.

Then I don't see the difference between your "WTL POE" and what I'd call a null read.  You've explained JS, so that's cool, but I'd like to know more about your oranges.

He's rusty, and he didn't play that much here when he was around, anyway.  I think a rookie mistake like that is entirely plausible, yes.  I noticed it, so I'm not docking points from JS for noticing it as well.  If he was mafia, why would he call attention to a player he's painting as a symp?  Think on that, dude.

 

I pointed out why this argument doesn't work at the time. Considering Darthe was bussing here, scum!Verb getting in some scum mate interaction/distancing while distracting from the Snow wagon makes sense.

Like there's a world I can maybe see John saying Dave "looks like bad scum not noob town" as his read which I don't think is objectively bad with Dave's content. It's generic but not terrible but I'd rather see some more depth elsewhere

 

Also I sort of agree that if he's scum and scum hunting someone he thinks is a symp is lolAIDS

For someone with very little else to say about the game, he stands up for Snow a lot.

#2509 The symp thing was one part of it. He also passively encouraged multiple people to consider other options when Snow was getting strung up.

Second part is better than the first imo.

I don't hate a Snow lynch because I suck at reading him and it will resolve someone who's probably going to be in my null pile for a long time to come, but I'd rather pursue my scum read and see where this goes.

 

I'd rather you pursue a scum read as well - I don't like the idea of lynching somebody just to resolve them and maybe 1 other player.  Late in the game if mislynches are available, this could mechanically lock a game....but D1 is not the time.  I guess you could argue D1 is when you have the most flexibility and there is no better time, at which point my response will be to grumble to myself because I can see the logic in that as well.

 

So yeah, I just typed a paragraph that literally says nothing.  lolme

 

Encouraging me to avoid the Snow wagon and pursue my scum read.  Slimy post and its meandering nature makes sense in a cover-your-butt kind of way.  My scum read was very explicitly Leelou and Verb had just proclaimed himself the king of Leelou reading but said he was going to wait for her to ramp up first, so encouraging me straight out to push Leelou here would have been weird.  I'm thinking his beating around the bush here was intentional to avoid awkward implications.

You're saying it doesn't mean I'm not town.  Ironically, I'm on your WTL list, for #reasons.  Ok, I can live with that.  But don't assume what you're seeing with Leelou would mean nothing to me.  If I'm town, my insight will be valuable.  If I'm scum, you've still forced me to make a read on Leelou based on your thought process, and I've proved time and time again that I royally suck at faking Leelou reads.

 

So it is basically a win-win for you regardless of my alignment (or any of us, actually).

Bullets Rye is very nice if you want something less sweet. Its my favorite snow removal go to. The bottle shape fits nicely into the inside pocket of my winter coat.

On phone atm. To save some time on this farce of a train, I am a member of THE ORDER. I am Town. Theres a reason I was responding to all of Zanders "I order this" and "Thats an order" comments, cause I thought he was hinting he was one to.

 

Dunno who other team members are. If we find each other we get a QT together and basically become masons. Also got a 2x weapons investigate, so submit name and get back whether or not they have a weapon. Dunno what that means. Probably a "Does this person have a kill" "Y/N". Most likely wont give anything about them being town or not.

 

This is why I was believing Davids claim because I wouldnt be surprised if there was more than one kind of set like this.

 

Back to work. This entire train is built off "Snow came out better in an argument so Len must be a wolf" and "Counter trains!"

For reference, atleast how it is with me, I dont know who the other Order members are and I dont know how many there are. I just know that there is atleast 1 other and that I need to find them to get into the QT. I would assume there are more.

It would have been a horror had Zander been a normal human. Instead it was a real tragedy.

We'd ask for the missing info and not provide it if he's wrong.

There's still a risk of (hypothetically speaking) Scum!Verb playing dumb and asking for hints as to what information he should "reveal" to try and narrow down his guesses. I don't like leaving him the option of manipulating us in some way. Even a supposed slip, if carefully crafted, could set us back quite a ways. Like when JS dropped a number of scum in the TG game that was one too high and had us tearing each other apart because we believed him.
