I actually really liked the duel night thread aspect, there was some really good hunting in some of the threads, more effective than the thread in some cases :p

N1 Stedding was one of the most exciting 24 hours of Mafia I've ever played. A lot of us started to quickly pick up on the vibe that it was a 6-player Mason QT. We let the paranoia drop and just ran wild sharing every thought and idea that came to us,

Shad I'm not going to apologize for anything I said or did because I still feel it was all 100% valid given the situation.

Can you, now that the game is over, please give me the courtesy of an answer and explain wtf your problem was at the start of the game?

I don't understand why you refused to answer Zander and I don't understand why your first response to me was to be sarcastic and combative.

 

i don't remember off the top of my head what I didn't answer Zander on, but when he tunnels me he tends to ask the same questions repeatedly, so it was probably something that I felt I'd already answered to the best of my ability and I was just rolling my eyes at him at that point.

 

I believe Zander accused you of being mafia because you had some people as townie on a list really early in the game when they had only made 1 post.

I think he made this accusation on page 12 and I followed up with a vote on page 13.

As far as I know this was not tunneling nor had it gone on for an unreasonable amount of time even if he was.

And even if HE was, I wasn't...at that time anyway. Later yes but it had more to do with your reaction than the initial concern.

 

 

I wasn't being combative with you at first.  I was being sarcastic in a sense--that's just how I am--but I was dead serious about wanting you to elaborate on your vote.  You didn't interpret my tone in the way I'd intended and your reaction to that was exactly how you reacted to me in Nightmare Before Christmas.  This simultaneously gave me a town read on you and made me realize that if I actually engaged you on the subject we would talk in circles for hours just like we did in that game, due to neither of us properly interpreting each other's tone, if that makes any sense.  The decision to blow you off while you were alive was strictly a matter of maximizing my time.  I felt you were a villager and while ensuring that you read me correctly is important, it wasn't as important to me at that stage of the game as getting a read on everybody else.  Basically it would have taken me a long time to hash things out with you and it was time I didn't really have.

Ok. See that makes so much more sense and I wish maybe you had just said that to me.

You were selfish with your time but it came off as evasive because you didn't want to explain it.

 

My initial blow off in N3 QT was more of the same--at that point you couldn't vote to mislynch me and if I was your top scum read then I knew you were on the wrong track.  I wanted to spend my time focusing on others.  My breakdown when Dice and Tiink both hopped on board with you was because I was stressed out IRL and am a big crybaby.  Nothing you did wrong there and that's strictly my problem.

I wasn't just annoyed with you at that point.

I was upset that it seemed like BFG set up the game in a certain way with a certain theme so there were dead players and live players interacting and it seemed to me that it was really underutilized.

Like the live players didn't really give a crap what the dead players had to say and that really just gets rid of the incentive for dead players to stay involved.

Maybe that wasn't how it was for other dead players but that was my experience and it was frustrating because I did want to continue playing and interacting but it felt like no one else did.

 

In general I was a cheesy mess all game for reasons that had nothing to do with the people I was playing with and that's my problem, not any of yours.  Still enjoy playing Mafia and games in general with you.  <3

I think you played it wrong but you also won so I can't really criticize too much.

I mean it worked. Just frustrated the hell out of me. And you too.

You have to stop doing these massive rereads and ISOs and stuff, especially if you're going to play a lot of games back to back or at the same time.

I know you like to do it and it's kind of in your meta now but I can tell it takes a lot out of you and it's not good.

Everyone burns out on mafia eventually but you're going supernova here because you're trying too hard every single game.

Either only play once in awhile so you have some breathing room or stop doing the extensive ISO's and all that every game.

Because you will probably head for an even bigger breakdown in the future if you continue playing and don't change how you play.

No one wants to see that and no one wants you to stop playing either.

 

Anyway...

Gave Iron mvp in my sig because that vig shot is what ultimately completely crushed the wolves' WIM and paved the way for a victory, plus he never really tinfoiled off the path to victory  :smile:

 

Trying to win this is literally the only reason I play Mafia.

I thought it was a really weird choice.

Like did I give off tells that I had a PR or was it just random?

I'm usually a good mislynch candidate so it's weird to be killed N1 lol.

I killed you completely randomly. lol. And honestly I was looking for the SK. I was fairly sure there had to bed either a SK or a symp with 3 scum. At first I thought Shad was symp but wasn't sure. And in the end he wasn't lol
