Reasoning is about as good as Luthine's vote on Nyn. I don't think either of the votes are for reasons that have anything to do with playing mafia. 

 

Playing mafia sometimes mean going hard at your friends, we even call them scums instead of mafia whether or not it is true. People are competitive and sometimes it can be rough defending yourself in a game. 

 

HOWEVER it's important to distinguish between going hard at the words of a player, because you believe they are lying. Sometimes I say dumb things in games. Sometimes I make bad decisions. I'm fine with people calling it for what it is. What's NOT fine is to call a person names. We're all playing a role in these games, and it's not who we are that's on trial here. I don't think anyone has overstepped that line yet, but I also did not enjoy reading pages 17-19.

Dice I'm also kinda ehhh about. I don't know if he's just suddenly gotten better at reading zander, just wants to appear to be able to read zander or what. Seems kinda weird... But could be nothing.I don't think I've ever had an easy time reading him and he's been in almost every one of the games I have recently.

Nin - No clue. I donot' agree with some of her stuff but I didn't last game either.. I think with us it could just be a, we see things differently thing and it makes us prone to reading each other bad?

General question, why is it common to give "town reads"? I don't remember that being a thing in the games I played in (granted I don't remember a lot about those it was such a long time ago).

 

I mean, even if there's no consensus, the fact that a few people say that they think X is a townie doesn't risk putting them at the top of the Mafia's kill list?

It does, but it also depends on whether or not there are power roles, and whether or not these people's reads are any good. Certainly if a person is getting universally town read and is town they'll most likely be killed off before endgame.

@Luthine - I'm more hunt scum than clear Town myself, I think it just kind of depends. Clearing people as Town make me weary because sometimes they'll float under the radar as scum because everyone just assumes they aren't.

 

So far there just seems to be a lot of back and forth, and not a whole lot to go on. I'm moving this weekend so will be on a bit less, but I want to wait and watch a but yet before casting a vote.

I think Nyn is town. Leaning that way on Luthien as well given that she didn't hold back in her discussion with Nyn. Zander is a bit tougher for me as I haven't seen the same eager puppy look yet. It has been mainly sadface.gif so far. 

 

Hallia has had some odd reactions to things so far, so she keeps me on the fence. Kat seems to be the way she was in the last game I played with her when she was town. That's all I can remember off the top of my head. Forget going back to read the game more thoroughly right now since internet is bleh.

I think my problem is coming off directly from a game where I was basically conf town, I post a certain way and no one critiques it because of my position, and in a new game when I do that it's suspect. ITS JUST WHI I AM.

I don't really think the sarcasm is that warranted. The observation was legitimate regarding Sooh. No one says you can't help or give advice, but when that's the only thing you're doing that becomes a problem. I agree with her first two reads at least, though I don't think who Luthian got into is that relevant.
