Notes from the dead thread:

 

We *HAD* to kill Laine exactly when we did in order to win.  Her finding Wombo not Town makes no difference.  Buys us one mislynch - which we got anyway - but would have kept the cop and the doc in the game.  So she investigates one of us or hard clears another Town that night when we can't touch her?  We *always* lose that scenario.  Having a backup cop SUCKED.  But we still had a chance at least - no matter how slim.  You guys were doing the math.  Everything had to go EXACTLY according to plan after losing three consecutive team mates.  Oh well...

 

 

Setup stuff.  Without knowing the setup remaining scum were looking at a cop, a doc, a BACKUP doc, a possible commuter, modconfirmed Town [which is like having two Town players, fwiw, with the 2nd being an innocent child], a proven vig, and a cop cleared VT.  Oh.  And a tree stump.  lol.  I was looking at this and wondering how scum ever had a chance!  Personally?  Despite the public pants down SHELLACKING?  I had a great time in this game.  When I could play...  :(

 

 

Yates not being on first 2 lynches.  I would have bussed the turd out of Leelou after she claimed Leia VT and Verb after claiming his "cop view" - IF I WAS AROUND.  But please.  Assume I don't bus my scum buddies.  That will come in handy down the road.   :tongue:

 

 

RE: Zander.  Ya'll need to pay more attention to my man.  If this game hasn't proven his LEGIT mafia chops I don't know WHAT will.  The one thing I told him offline is this; you have to be really REALLY careful about being a zealot with your pushes.  Because even if you are right, there are people who will recognize that zeal and just WANT you to be wrong and fight you for no other reason.

 

 

RE: My Seph message - My bad.  That was totally meant as an inside joke lolcat knowing I was going to kill him.  I gave him that to tell you guys what I was going to fake claim.  Didn't see him rolling Phoenix TWICE IN A ROW!!!  Then I got stuck having to explain myself and I felty dirty.  But not that dirty because cornered rat and all that...   :tongue:

 

 

RE: My Activity.  I have posted my regular mafia business hours.  They are legit and not indicicative of alignment.  My life situation has changed [for the WAAAY better!  :wub:]  and I just can't keep up my old activity levels AND be a father AND be a husband when I get home.

 

 

RE: Pooping on the Village from the Dead Thread.  Cut the living a little slack, people.  They have a lot to pay attention to and don't have the same confirmation bias as you.  The best thing going in my House of Cards Dead Thread was that I never posted the setup.  The dead were far more humble in that chat...

 

 

RE: Lynching the Doc.  Towns do dumb things.  By the logic you were suggesting AH be spared, you could have also spared Thaneballs without a Laine hard counter.  The two biggest anti-Town plays netted you a scum lynch and two dead Town PR's.  I'm okay with Town playing it safe.  And you should be too.  The net result would have been two scum lynches instead of one and the death of two Town PR's.

Just want to say it; I had fun wolfing with Sili.  It wasn't always pretty and we have some stuff we can work on together but it WAS fun!  And that's the point of the game, I think.  Also, true story, this is the most I've ever seen wolf Sili post.  That's a huge step in the right direction.

 

 

Also, I never accused Leelou or Sili of losing the game.  "How the EFF did Leelou get lynched?!!"  And, "oh did you get yourself killed?"  Were questions from someone who checked the scum QT before reading the thread, obviously.  Leelou was fine when I went to bed and Sili made it sound like game was over.  lol  Believe me; I am fully aware of how my time constraints affected our win chances.

 

 

Scum claiming Masons.  Took balls.  And the C-3PO sanitized flip.  Something I was always too chicken to try.  Did not like.  Will never do again.  I SWEAR.  Seriously, there was way too much outside of my control.  And I like having total control.

I think Town played a really strong game outside of the Heart lynch. Don't listen to the dead thread, imo...

The fact that Sili / Yates nearly pulled off the comeback is a testament to both of their levels of tenacity

Meh - I just don't like losing. But yeah for Sili. He was put in a TERRIBLE position when he got recruited over after basically nailing the scum team on Day 1. I think Sili is a WAY better player than people give him credit for and his willingness to go all Thelma and Louise with me for even a CHANCE at a victory is a testament to his mafia fortitude. Like I said; it was fun wolfing with him - even in the terrible spot we were in!

Yus, town played GREAT!!! Was fun to watch.

 

Dead thread should always be taken with a pinch of salt, it's full of players who now know the setup, know the correct plays and have generally invested time and emotion into the game.

@Yates mason claim was genius and would have warranted a win if it had happened that way, PM stuff was meh, but with hindsight was town bringing it up again more than you.

Vig/peek/lynch out of Sooh, Yates and Heart and I think town wins this game every time.

I'm not sure you catch even 1 wolf in that group but it's a good place to peek due to activity/suspicion. Probably add Dice and Csarmi to the list, though, along with yourself.

 

And I think we can all recognize that I'm obviously not trying to direct the cop in an attempt to fool anyone given a dead GF and RB. It just makes sense.

 

So if the cop is peeking in a list of:

 

Sooh

Yates

Heart

Dice

Csarmi

Wombocombo

 

*maybe* Zander?

 

I think we'll be in good shape. And that's assuming the cop didn't already peek someone on this list.

 

I'd also be willing to go so far as to claim miller and eat the lynch tomorrow (if I don't make myself obv Town) just to give the cop a slightly smaller pool.

Yeah I know.  But here's the thing, and maybe with more experience I won't see it this way:  If you got viewed scum later in the game (pretend the masons claim never happened), would you not fall back on this post and try to twist it in your defense?  If someone even hints at a distant slight possibility that they might be miller, I will consider them to view non-town until a cop or lynch proves otherwise.

Oh. Probably. But I would never expect anyone to buy it. That's just one of those last ditch things you try. You know; like claiming cop or doc when you are cornered. ;)
