Mostly those who I have some experience either playing with or watching as a mod.

There's others I've played with to varying degrees but I wouldn't claim to have a grasp on reading them, such as NotBob Tress or Thane.

 

Everyone else is pretty much new to me and thus need some figuring out on my part.

Anyway.. this game seems to be flying by! Too bad a girl's gotta sleep and work before playing awesome games...

 

It's a tough read so far, though there are interesting things going on in several different groups at the moment. 

 

I think we were all a bit taken aback by Ithi's lack of interest in the beginning, but today you seem more on your game

So stupidly sleepy.  I really should have gone to the grocery store over the weekend and bought more melatonin.  A week without it and my sleep schedule gets all manner of fouled up.

Morning. I thought I made it clear that I wasn't playing mafia last night. I needed to sort something else out that unfortunately could only be done in the game. and then I went to bed.

I'm not used to you doing anything at the start of a mafia game but starting serious gameplay, and it wasn't clear that you weren't there to play, no.

 

Tress first vote was interesting. I'm torn on her as I feel it would have been unlikely a mafia would have poked the bear. Also she's been responding to any doubts from other players like a wealthy Jane Austin relative. I honestly expected her to start calling people 'dear'. I find she's far more endearing and fluffy when she's mafia as she doesn't want to be seen as a threat.

However, I am always endearing and fluffy at all times, until I find something that sets off my suspicions.

 

Which in this game was you being endearing and fluffy instead of playing the game like you normally do.

So I've decided to annoy him by making new friends instead.

 

I'll also be playing a Mafia Game inbetween annoying him.

Tress, That is possible in a way. Ithi is as transparent as anyone that actually plays this game if you look at exactly what she types. She does not posture. Read her posts again and don't tell me what they mean to you. The only true game comment so far was her questioning your percieved nudge about premature clearance by Seph.

 

That's the concern, Turin. Town!Ithi typically does not sit around and chitchat to start the game, she dives right in and starts pressuring for reactions.

 

She's not doing that here.

There were a very specific set of circumstances yesterday that created the delay to her normal game start. I know this had nothing yo do with her alignment and everything to do with my change in style. You can ascribe all.of this as "gameplay" itt but that take would be incorrect.

 

As to your shock that I would defend her at that point, really? Really? IMO I didn't even defend her that much. I ess asked my opinion by seph and you about what was going on with Ithi and why she was playing differently. I answered those questions, if somewhat ambiguously. Again read the words she typed on those first few pages. Remove that this is a game and form a conclusion why she played "different".

 

 

My plan originally was to give her a couple more pages, but it wasn't sitting well with me at the point when Seph brought it up.

 

And since nobody had really started serious gameplay yet, I elected myself to do it.  Does this bother you so badly?

 

She's showing a bit more of her typical town play right now, yes.  I'm obviously not as instinctively in tune with her as you are to expect that when she's posting in a game talking to the players in that game, she's not actually playing the game.  And you can't expect me to be that in tune with her for obvious reasons.

 

Now, take away your natural instinct to defend your ladylove and examine what I was seeing from the perspective of a mafia player who is used to a specific other mafia player jumping in kickstarting the game with actual gameplay within the first two pages of the game.

 

And now look at the game and see what has already started to come of it. Do you really believe my motivation here is anti-town?

It stood out to me on my first read through, and I thought it worth mentioning. Anything that can shed a light on who you and Tress are when you play together is valuable.
