It is Night-5. You may post now.

 


Rules

 

01. This is a normal mafia game. It should go without saying, but normal mafia rules apply unless I explicitly state otherwise. Do not cheat and do not make personal attacks.

02. Each Day, you may vote for a lynch.

03. Absolute majority is required for a lynch. Once this is achieved, the lynch will proceed immediately [i.e. hammer game].

04. Should an absolute majority vote “No Lynch” or should no absolute majority be reached by deadline, there will be no lynch and the game will proceed directly to Night phase. [no penalty]

05. Deadlines will be mutable and based on activity. If I sense that the players are making an effort and could achieve a decision soon, I will likely extend deadline. Should I sense the opposite, I will not. Expect 72h days and 18h nights.

06. I expect substantive posts and non-trivial votes from each player each Day. If in my subjective opinion, you are not doing enough, I will modkill or replace you. I may or may not warn you depending on how grumpy I am.

07. List of possible roles in the game can be found below.

08. You may role claim or character claim as you feel fit. None of the roles or characters are guaranteed to be in the game.

09. Theme is for flavour purposes. The series has no plot - neither does this game. Assume nothing. Focus on gameplay. Play to win.

10. You win when all threats to your team have been eliminated. Voting majority is only relevant insofar as it is a means to this end.

11. Play within the rules and play to your win condition.

12. If you break the rules or do anything to piss me off, you'll be put in Chaelca's Laboratory in the BT.

13. Editing posts is allowed. Don't talk to anyone outside this thread unless explicitly allowed to. No quoting of communications from outside the gaemthread (this includes QT talks, PM's, role PM).

List of possible roles in the game:

 

 

Bodyguard - dies in place of its target

Bulletproof - prevents its target from being NK'd (usually 1x)

Cop - gets the alignment of its target (town, not town)

Doctor - prevents its target from a NK (may or may not self-protect)

Doublevoter - has two votes

Godfather - mafia, views as "town" to cop

Gunsmith - checks if its target has a gun (people with a NK and Gunsmith are considered to have a gun)

Hider - selects a player to hide behind every night, can't be targeted directly, gets affected by any action on its target instead (dies if hiding behind "not town")

Innocent Child - is confirmed town from game start

Jack-of-all-trades - has several different 1-shot actions (most common variants have 3-4 actions - investigative, killing, protective, blocking)

Jailkeeper - its target can't be killed + target is roleblocked

Lover - 2+ players, if any of them dies, all of them does (may or may not have QT to communicate, may or may not share alignment)

Mason - 2+ players, they have a QT to communicate, share alignment (usually town)

Miller - town, views as mafia

Neighbor - 2+ players, they have a Qt to communicate, may or ma ynot share alignment

Role Cop - learns the target's role, but not the alignment

Roleblocker - the actions of its target will fail

Serial Killer - 3rd party, have a factional NK, they usually have to kill everyone else to win, sometimes they get bonuses such as lynchproof, bulletproof, investigation immunity

Survivor - 3rd party, may win with either mafia or town, sometimes they get bonuses such as lynchproof, bulletproof, investigation immunity

Tracker - learns the target of its target

Vigilante - town only, has a NK

Watcher - learns who visited its target

Please read the rules carefully and if anything is unclear, please ask. Ask ALL questions in PM (if I believe the answer concerns anyone, I'll post it on thread).

 

It should go without saying, but don't do anything that's against the spirit of the game (this includes, but is not restricted to Role PM matching, private codes and so on).

Arthur Dent was returning to his cave just a little after dusk when he became aware of lights flashing eerily through the clouds. He turned and stared, with hope suddenly clambering through his heart. Rescue. Escape. The castaway's impossible dream - a ship.
And as he watched, as he stared in wonder and excitement, a long silver ship descended through the warm evening air, quietly, without fuss, its long legs unlocking in a smooth ballet of technology.
It alighted gently on the ground, and what little hum it had generated died away, as if lulled by the evening calm.
A ramp extended itself.
Light streamed out.
 A tall figure appeared silhouetted in the hatchway. It walked down the ramp and stood in front of Arthur.
"You're a jerk, Dent," it said simply.
It was alien, very alien. It had a peculiar alien tallness, a peculiar alien flattened head, peculiar slitty little alien eyes, extravagantly draped golden ropes with a peculiarly alien collar design, and pale grey-green alien skin which had about it that lustrous shine which most grey-green faces can only acquire with plenty of exercise and very expensive soap.
Arthur boggled at it.
It gazed levelly at him.
Arthur's first sensations of hope and trepidation had instantly been overwhelmed by astonishment, and all sorts of thoughts were battling for the use of his vocal chords at this moment.
 "Whh...?" he said.
 "Bu...hu...uh ..." he added.
 "Ru...ra...wah...who?" he managed finally to say and lapsed into a frantic kind of silence. He was feeling the effects of having not said anything to anybody for as long as he could remember.
 The alien creature frowned briefly and consulted what appeared to be some species of clipboard which he was holding in his thin and spindly alien hand.
"Arthur Dent?" it said.
Arthur nodded helplessly.
"Arthur Philip Dent?" pursued the alien in a kind of efficient yap.
"Er...er...yes...er...er," confirmed Arthur.
"You're a jerk," repeated the alien, "one would think you come from Belgium."
"Er..."
The creature nodded to itself, made a peculiar alien tick on its clipboard and turned briskly back towards the ship.
"Er..." said Arthur desperately, "er..."
"Don't give me that!" snapped the alien. It marched up the ramp, through the hatchway and disappeared into the ship. The ship sealed itself. It started to make a low throbbing hum.
 "Er, hey!" shouted Arthur, and started to run helplessly towards it.
"Wait a minute!" he called. "What is this? What? Wait a minute!"
The ship rose, as if shedding its weight like a cloak to the ground, and hovered briefly. It swept strangely up into the evening sky. It passed up through the clouds, illuminating them briefly, and then was gone, leaving Arthur alone in an immensity of land dancing a helplessly tiny little dance.

Honestly this is my favorite part of the game

 

Cause I know Mafia start sporadically checking into their QT

 

And one of them will say "Cory needs to die ASAP"

 

And to you, my timid and correctly afraid wolfy friend, I say
