Vos, there is a very, very good chance that Tina is Mafia. You would do very well to have an explanation for this after she flips, if she flips.

 

 

 

Thing is, from my POV, some of the last games I've played I've let more skilled players who turned out scum lead me by the nose. Embarrassing maybe but oh well. So now I'm reading the thread, listening to everybody and standing by my instincts and reads no matter who tries to lead me elsewhere. From where I stand, I'm comfortable with my vote on you. And from what I read I got a town-lead on Tina. It's not in sync with the majority, but I'm gonna stick with my reads. If I'm badly mistaken, and have to answer for that later - that's the name of the game.

This isn't my ideal way of rereading, but actual rereading was taking too long, and I kept losing my notes besides So I've started ISOing people.

 

Although I don't think it's important, Arthur Dent could match a survivor role, equally Frankie Mouse could have easily been a bad guy (bargains with Zaphod to cut Arthurs brains out in order to find the question - at least in the radio drama) so I'm not putting much stock in claims.

 

I still don't know what to make of Cory's play. I'll try isoing him later, but will probably be tomorrow now. I remember lots of reads from the first half of Day 1, then various arguments and odd comments here and there. Probably not willing to lynch here, mostly due to numbers.

 

I don't see Tina's posts as being that obviously mafia. She's voting someone she thinks is mafia and said that if he actually was survivor then he's still not Town. At this point his most recent post was that he'd be voting with mafia so I really don't see the problem here, although she didn't mention the last in her clarification post, I had an early town read on Tina and although she's not as obviously town as earlier I'm still leaning that way.

 

I do find it somewhat ironic that she FoS'd Dice for character fishing, yet has repeatedly asked the PRs to claim.

BFG - Something seems off about her posting and moreso the content. Like the ISO someone did on her. Don't like what I see from it.

Lazy - That ISO by Nyn was great. Lazy has been posting much ado about nothing at all and it escaped me till then. A read list would be nice...

At some point I think we need to stop ignoring BFG's case on Pral. I have them both as scum reads but she's making solid points and evidently I must be wrong about one of them because it wouldn't make sense otherwise.

 

But 3 hours later has both Pral and myself as mafia leans. Because of the 42 word thing it's difficult to be sure on phrasing, but he seems to imply that he had us both as mafia leans before my case, but that my case makes it unlikely we'll be mafia-mafia. Yet his most recent reads weren't changed from when he had Pral as town.

 

Well, money meet mouth. Let's see what we see.

When did your read on Pral change? You had him as an early town read, then switched to mafia, but there's nothing in your posts to explain the change.

 

 

I love how today is gonna revolve around if Dice is mafia or just did a really stupid move. I'm not that confident about the PR-tactics, nor Dices meta to claim if he would ever make such a move. 

 

It seems odd though. Very odd. 

 

Also, is it just me, or is Cory being uncharacteristically open to giving him the benefit of the doubt? 

 

Also RTE reads like he is actively trying to clear Dice. Stinks.

 

I just want to avoid lynching a town watcher, if we have one. I see value of town watcher & tracker (& have seen combination before). 

 

Otherwise throw him wolves. Like Cory said we have till Thursday, information = power, no rush.

So if I had to make a scum list it would look like this:

 

Hallia - AJ has a lot of good points here but I honestly feel like I can't justifiably vote her because of my track record. I don't know if I've ever been right about Hallia, at least nowhere near recently, and I've played a LOT of games with her. Do I think her posting and voting has looked very town? Nope not at all. But to be frank it almost never ever does for me. Really can't go anywhere when it comes to Hallia and I'd rather not get into that unless it is for consolidation. Been burned so many times by this little lady.

 

Pral - Still. Not. Convinced. I also think town would, by now, feel less bitter by the fact that I thought he was scum whereas Pral, IMO, still has eyes mostly for me. That persistence to me to the grave seems not only uncharacteristic but a bit much given he keeps saying he'll come back to casing me but hasn't yet. Not my strongest scum read but I don't have much sign he is town really. Every post since Day 1 has had an OMGUS tinge to it and he just seems really upset about everyone who voted against him day 1 and isn't dead, and that's how he's forming his scum list basically. To me that isn't pro-town play.

 

Dice - I'm at a loss with Dice. There were a couple situation I was contemplating where I thought maybe he could be town but they seem to be narrowing and narrowing, as his posting is by no means helping him at all. Just weak and poor reasoning, and weak posts. Would like to see something of sustenance. But most importantly right now the self-target watch really irks me. Can't put my finger on it at all. Dice you need to get in here and look like you're playing to win and catch scum. Right now all we have from you is you're a sketchy watcher with poor reasoning and poorer posts.

 

I know there is another scum out there but right now I'm struggling. Again, between Des and Corey I think Des looks much more town but at the same time I do have a town lean on Cory. Changed player since the emo outbreak. Actually more grounded than he was before it too and seems to have town's interest in mind, except for when he always comes back to Des. It's getting a bit old... But he has been sharing his views and notes and looks town to me as well. It's a shame Leelou has been busy lately because I would like to hear a lot more from her now. With Nyn gone, her main interactions will probably be with Verbal and that will be very valuable from them both as they slip into the null read category for me. I don't know Vos but looks alright to me. I believe Thane. I want to hear more from Tina. One of my solid town reads but has gone a little too quiet for my taste. BFG is town in my books at this point, although that switch from Pral being scum to town was a bit more... sudden than I'd have liked, but it is what is. 

 

Going to [v] Dice [/v]. Can move to my other scum reads but I think this is the place to start. Will be a bit scarcer from now till deadline

Now has Hallia, Pral and Dice as mafia leans, and chooses to vote Dice over the others, yet his read on Dice doesn't seem confident enough to risk voting a claimed Town PR, this again might be an artefact of the 42 word thing.

 

What happened to your read on Lazy? Why Dice, what are your current opinions?

About the character claiming. I asked for characters once they had claimed their roles. Dice asked me on D1 (I think) if I was a main character. That is something different.

BFG/RTE is the wildcard for me. BFG's points on RTE are actually very decent, but BFG is a good player and for some reason I just have that gut that RTE is town (might be slighted by the post restriction admittedly)

 

I think it is very likely that all the Mafia are in Lazy/Vos/Pral/BFG/Tina

 

I still don't feel super grounded this game, but Tina never got obvious and I think I sincerely misread her enthusiasm for the theme as willing to paint attention her way. There is a tinfoil notion that she could be scum with Dice because the old adage is "Cory doesn't usually go after people who push him hard", but Tina has never seriously tried to get me lynched and has mainly just sniped me continuously. Her reactions here are super wolfy and I don't have the inner conflict I did with Hallia.

 

The only thing that bothers me on Verbal is that he pushed me for my early townreads but also gave a no-explanation Tina townread early, but I still think he's likely to be town

I went through the game so far and I think I believe Cory. He was definitely not town, at least from my experience of him. In hindsight, he did act similar in the House game where he was a survivor.

 

I would go for RTE today. Not very confident of Tina being scum.

Blech I am freaking sick and miserable. Couldn't even get on last night, staring at the screen made my eyes water. When I woke up today and tried to swallow, it felt like I was trying to pull up my organs through my throathole. Absolutely bleurgh.
