It's about running.  People who ran track would jump from their platform before the gun was fired to signal go sometimes.  They called it jumping the gun.  To be clear was that a character reveal?  

 

I'm liking Vos a lot right now. I could make a big post about it, but I basically just agree with everything he said re: claiming and how we should play. Curious about the votes on Lenlo. His comment about "picking" characters was rather scummy, but I believe the votes on him all came before that.

 

I wish this post said more.  You're suggesting a lot without stating it outright.  Talk to me like I'm five here.

The first two votes on Leno were essentially joke votes (as I read them), but his reaction to Leelou is the reason I voted for him. His play after my vote is the reason my vote remains. I don't like your post because I feel that town would say outright whether they agreed with the votes or not. Your 'curiosity' speaks of wanting to comment without commenting, to be seen but not heard. I'm not ready to cast you as scum because it's been a long while since I played with you - can't remember the last time you played mafia - so I'm going to intentionally keep you null for the moment.

Krak - I don't feel I know enough at this point to say whether I agree with the votes on Lenlo or not. Or rather, I should say, I'm null on Lenlo at this point, so I don't outright object to the votes on him. But I think it's generally worth noting when four votes pile up onto one person in the first few hours of a game.

 

I guess I can say, at the point when those votes were put on him, I don't think he had done enough to warrant much suspicion. He seemed like the same old Lenlo to me. I didn't feel he reacted weirdly to Leelou's vote. He said 'Yay more love' which seems like a typical jokey reaction from him. What exactly is so suspicious about that?

I actually think Vos raised a good point in saying that the mafia team could make good fake claims to earn points. Admittedly I hadn't thought about that.

 

My point wasn't to discern alignments through people's like or dislike of the claim thing, it was mostly meant as a talking point. That said I still think it's a good idea in the way of forcing people to name themselves to see if someone claimed another person's character, etc.

 

I would like to hear more from Verb about how I claimed scum. Darthe seemed to pick up on what I was getting at.

I'll be back in the morning with more. I agree with Len that most of the claims (including my own) seem to be secondary characters. Choose wisely if you claim, scum team.
