No. Not right. Not even close to right. Darth comes from mafiascum. At MS, we save major characters for fake claims. In Ghostbusters Mafia, for example, Peter AND Ray were fake claims. In DC Comics mafia, Bruce Wayne was a fake claim. Bottom line, don't read too much into flavor. Games go sideways when you do it. I will happily lynch anyone that suggests a lynch based on flavor going forward.

 

I also strongly dislike what you are suggesting in regards to hydra hunting... For one, you keep saying there are 16 slots. There's 19, so it's 14:5, which is says clearly in the VC that you quoted. This lessens the probability by a good amount of your theory that multiple hydras are on the scum team. While it is still very possible you seem to be saying that we should isolate the hydra teams and proceed in that fashion. I dislike this for obvious reasons, namely the fact that you are suggesting we more or less ignore other gameplay to focus on the hydras because they *could* pose a bigger threat. I also disagree with this on a fundamental level because as others have already pointed out, having 2 heads to one slot doubles the chance that one of them slip up. It also ignores the blatant advantage it gives to town for those hydras because they function very much like a Mason pair in the sense that they are two sets of eyes that are confirmed to each other to dissect the game together.

As I've already said, I'm not "rustled" about being today's lynch. In my experience when I've been run up D1 you spend too much time thereafter unproductively trying to recover. I think it's a bit rude to lynch the bride on her own wedding day, but as we're vanilla town it's no great loss, and all kinds of good info for tomorrow.

Let me clarify. Jack you should reread that in context with what Mynd is saying about how certain character claims work as auto-clear material. Yates is saying he has seen in his experience where main characters have been provided for fake claims. The main point of this is that we shouldn't rely on character claims - whether they be main or lesser characters in the story.

in fact, the pressure really didn't start until i revealed.  after the reveal, AJ has been doing some heavy flogging my way, try for any sort of reaction he can get.  Nol eased his way it not he dog pile as well, and then once i gave Yates an in to dog pile in he's also joined.  then there Kak's vote, seriously yer only 20 pages in and instead of making the decision yourself you give the bull excuse of "hmmm well no one else saw fit to unvote her".  add in Leelou as well, who is more concerned with lecturing me on how to play a proper town game than scum hunting.

 

with AJ/Cory and Tom.  i dunno if its a scum group anxious to get a power role lynched and getting a bit over zealous cause they smell blood in the water ... or if this is some kind of playground pack mentality move making sure that everyone is timid about voting them least they get bombarded with insults and stuff intended to insight an emo melt down.  either way, its rather funny to see how one vote and refusing to move said vote under pressure got their panties in suck a twist. 

 

then you Mynd who is semi defending me, but still distancing from me ...  dunno if hes being legit on his defense or just being the "devils advocate" scum so he can get town cred for defending me. i've also linked the offical wiki for the series to him twice about my character, and he still asks for people on thread to clarify my character, i dont get what he's doing here tbh.  i dislike his policy lynch on hydras that he's pushing, and i dislike his character fishing.  that said, gut read i'm leaning town on him, he's not raising any flags he normally doesnt.   Amega is kinda pinging me for this reason.  Cloud was slightly FoSing me, but Ameg goes 180 on that FoSing and becomes my defender.

 

@ Ameg - different game, different people, different circumstances.  i also tend to not play the same in every game.  my game play is based less on my role and more on the circumstances for the game as well as the people i''m playing with.

 

Tress's character reveal is interesting but is null on alignment.  too much WIFOM surrounding the character imo.  lady Frey wasn't in on the plan ... but its a Frey none the less.  she might not be full blown scum, but the character is prime for a symp role imo.  so noting it, but not useful in casing her.  what is note worthy is Mish's continued absences, which reads as laying low and gives more cred to the damage control feeling everyone has from Tress stepping in and Mish's comments "what about Tress".

 

Desbat is perplexing ...  he's also distancing from my lynch.  and then his "hey Nol you want to thunderdome" is imo out of the blue.  why thunderdome  with him Despo?  whats the point, what do you hope to gain from it?

 

 

Yates keeps yammering for my short list, though i'm inclined to agree with Womby on doubting he'll use it.

- AJ: for his over all case against me, and his recent attempts to get any reaction from me at all.  he's being way too opportunistic about my lynch and him getting all prissy and throwing out taunts cause i'm ignoring him is telling imo its like he's upset my lynch slowed down and wants me to emo react to get the speed back up.  way too opportunistic of a behavior over a lynch imo.

 

- krak: he reads 20 pages, votes me (tbh i thought his vote was the hammer) and his reason is "i dont have to catch up cause others didn't unvote her after she revealed".  how is this a townie move at all?  and now he's dog piling in on me, not have read the entire thread and acting like he knows the full reason why i'm being lynched.

 

- Leelou: for the points stated above,

 

- Nol: for "playing fromt eh sidelines" as someone else said, and his dog pile onto my lynch after my reveal.  also, Nol generally doesn't tunnel on a person, he multi-takses in games iirc.  in this one, he's tunneling on me and putting all effort into getting me lynch and pressuring anyone who is even semi defending me.

- Amega: his posts are contradictory to Clouds, and Cloud was casing me earlier.  now Amega is siding with me.  out of him and Mynd i'd be more apt to call him the scum playing devils advocate on my lynch

 

- Jack: for the linkage.  his new posts are also pinging.  i also haven't seen any of the trademarked Pete Logic, which flags for me.

 

- Dawn: her vote on me is the 2nd most scummy on the lynch (kraks being the scummiest).  14 yr old and never played as anything but scum in two games or not; she should know better by now than to bandwagon a person with a joke vote after the games kicked in.  and then she went lurk mode once she got pressure over it and hasn't done a single thing to help scum hunt.  its not enough to lynch over, but enough to warrant pressure imo

 

- Yates: his reveal, his arguing with me and trying to turn the debate from his reveal to moot things, and his testiness at being questioned about his reveal.

- Mishtress: Mish's reactions are null, they were emotional and those are null for me with Mish.  the only scumminess from her was the "hey what about Tress" and then going Hudini on the thread and letting Tress take the drivers seat.  Tress is hard for me to peg iirc.  the only really scummy thing i've seen is her trying to pin Womby as defending Dawn.

 

- Desbat:  Despo being MIA and Womby incorporating Despos play style into his own has my gut going "wat da faq". Womby is pining because of the change in his play style.  the vote on my was null, his push on Mish was Null.  its his switch of gears to Mynd (20 hrs until the deadline) thats really pinging.  its feeling like Womby wants to run up as many trains today to get as many reveals as possible today.  the trains hes had a hand in building feel less like their aimed at scum hunting and more liek their aimed at getting reveals.  he's also letting people do the dirty work on the lynches, not really applying any pressure himself.  i dislike the puppet master approach he's been taking this game.  add into it, Despos appearance now and what he's doing.   he's actually semi defending me; not our right, but defending against my lynch.  and now the "yo Nol want to Thunderdome?" which reads llike "Yo Nol, want to get some distance between eachother?"  i also dont see Despo casing anyone.

I'm pretty sure Red is town Cory. She's definitely not always easy to understand, pretty much never concise, and makes mountains out of molehills moreso than I ever will, but her response to pressure has been fairly townie imo.

 

More important is how her train has built up. Way too fast, way too easy imo. A lot of people seemed like they were content to park votes on her and then disappear again. Krak's vote on her for instance, was just dreadful.
