Do we really have to do hydras? It doesn't fit the theme at all outside like 5 characters maybe, only 2 of which are present during the Red Wedding.

Theme?  A Hydra is two people playing under one account/life etc with one vote.  It is just for two people who maybe don't have the time to play on their own or people who really work well together so that I don't have to add slots to include people.

Too old fashioned Nol.

I know what it is.

It's more voices and perspectives on the game without having to be directly invested.

It's a shot in the face to mafia who often kill people to silence their voice.

You're just making it harder on mafia by adding more voices with less mafia to compensate.

Don't think it doesn't effect balance. It does.

I also think it relies heavily on the players involved.

Some hydras will be better than others, that should go without saying.

Actually it is proven to not affect balance.  You can check for yourself on MS where they originated.  Two voices are equally likely to be wrong than right and roughly 1/4 of the time they will be mafia instead of town.  Of course the additional perspectives create more tension but what does that bring to the game that wouldn't have been there simply by the nature of the game?  Nothing, assuming that everyone plays to their best capabilities.

Actually it is one of the main arguments.  Hydras are more succeptible because they have two people with their thoughts and opinions sharing one life.  When that doesn't match up and they are NK'd it becomes harder to explain why they were killed.  They are also easier to get lynched.

I think we all learned in Mass Effect that we're all total buffons and adding more of us doesn't do much to balance

lol'd

Myself included on that list of buffoonery

Policy lynched, sorry.

I've seen in quite a few games where Hydras will get lynched just because they're hydras, and generally the people of MS distrust hydras.

I do too, somewhat. I don't like how one head can come in and regain face for the other after they blunder.

That said: CRAYJAY ON THE LOOSE

That is indeed true.

Signups are not full Mish but if you want to hydra you can unless someone can give a compelling reason to not allow them

Theres also the cumulative effect when you put two idiots in the same QT together, their silly ideas keep bouncing off one another until it gets to ludicrous levels. Like me and RTE. :P
