Also, I just had a dinner of:

 

Escargots

Boeuf Bourgignon

Pinot Noir (Bourgogne)

Fromage blanc

 

Je suis content.

 

You are so classy.

 

I made a really good Boeuf Bourgignon and I agree that's the wine I would have chosen for this dish. Pinot Noir goes so well with this hearty and savoury dish.

I wouldn't have fromage blanc after the beef though as I wouldn't be able to stomach it. I'd rather have almond biscotti with bitter espresso as this kind of meal with the wine would have made me very sleepy, not good if you have company and conversation to keep up. I would also serve the beef on top of creamed spinach and sauted mushrooms with parsley sprinkled on top. So yummy and suitable for winter.
