I was referring to the "Unless she claims to be who I am" part. That is what sounded off to me. Frankly it looks like you are soft claiming here, very softly.

Alright, two quick vents:

 

We've gotten sidetracked a lot this day phase. Got wrapped up about a stupid convo about why mafia would kill a claimed vig, distracted by Wombat's summary of player's experience (which I laughed at and agreed with, but still), and about the lack of an iso button on DM. As such the deadline is about a day away and there is only one "train". That's not acceptable you guys.

 

Also, I'm seeing anti-town or scummy play from way too many different people. There's only a couple of people that I have townish reads on, the rest I would happily vote to see lynched. Need better scumhunting and broadcasting your alignment if town. And I don't mean try to look town, which is scummy in itself, I mean show your towniness by asking the right questions and showing intent to find scum.

 

Okay, on to what I saw:

 

- Halia never told who her character is, notwithstanding her having posted a couple of time since that time. This would prove she was town, and would not help mafia. I call that "refusing", how you call that is your choice.

 

As soon as Halia says who she is, I'll probably change my vote to Wombat. He's defending me WAY too much, which means he probably knows I'm not mafia, which means HE likely IS. Does that even make any sense?

 

I def don't call that refusing, and you shouldn't either. Refusing is outright declining to submit to a request or suggestion. She never did that.

 

Last sentence is garbo. What if she claimed your character? You'd still switch your vote? You're completely making it obvious that your vote on her was a trumped up vote to try and make it seem like you were looking for info, info that many people noted wasn't really necessary given the circumstances.

 

I was genuinely curious about the kill, I can see how it looks like I'm playing innocent townie, I saw it before I asked. But I usually spend most of every game lurking until over halfway through because I can see the pros and cons of every statement I want to make and every suspicion...maybe I'm just too intelligent for mafia :D bahaha lmao (sorry, I crack myself up sometimes)

The only point I was trying to make is that it looks to me like vig or serial killer would help the mafia out in the long run. Obviously some of you don't agree with that. Quoting a couple of my posts then just saying "I don't like this" kinda seems like the cheap way out IMO and once again it's obvious that I'm not agreed with :)

 

Gah. Admitting to lurking halfway through every game? Policy lynch alert. Lurking does NOT help town, and thus is anti-town play.

 

Something that pinged me when it first happened and it still reeks to me is Tiiinks vote on Basel. He pops in, becomes the 3rd vote on Basel saying he will explain when he gets back online, and I still haven't heard ANY reasoning.

Looks like a way to officially start a train without havin to explain why.

 

You're tunneling on Tiink looks like an attempt to divert attention, his vote barely stands out, if at all. If that's all you're thinking about with everything else going on then you're reaching for a lifeline.

His vote placement, putting Basel up to a competing train, was a big move IMO. I'd STILL like to hear the explanation of what he though made Basel look scummy.

 

More tunneling on Tiink, and this post came soon after your last post where you fos'd him. Not like you gave him all kinds of time to respond. If you were going to vote him you should have done so in the post you fos'd him. Looks like bad mafia play.

 

Roles can be used double/triple/... Characters cannot. Hence, a character reveal is a lot stronger, and very much preferable to town.

 

 

Um, the whole point of a COUNTERCLAIM is to disprove someone else's claim, because you pretty much never see two people with the same role (besides Lovers or Masons of course). There might be two weak Doc roles or something like that, but if someone claims COP, there's not going to be another person with a role called "COP" in the game unless that first person is lying.

 

 

So it's not scummy when you answer a question meant for someone else but it IS when I do it?

 

 

For the record, you asked the question, then responded to a follow-up question.  I actually interposed myself and answered a question lolguy asked of Tiinker.  

 

This kind of question noted above is relatively useless except in the he said/she said back and forth's so beloved by current U.S. political parties. Yes, it very well could be scummier for you to answer a question for someone else than if I did.  Or Wombat did.  Or anyone else.

 

 

Looks like contrived reasoning to me. I read your entire excerpt on why there was a difference between the two things, and I think it was a lot of fluff for the most part.

Summary of thoughts:

 

Krak tunneled hard on Basel yesterday, and I thought his case was weak. Basel flipping town makes him look real bad. He seems to have tunneled on Tigs today as well, and once again his reasoning looks bad. Her answering someone else's question to him wasn't all that diff from him answering a question to someone else. All of his reasoning why it's diff looks like scum trying to make excuses to me.

 

That being said, Tigs does look somewhat scummy to me as well. Was catching a little attention, and her fos'ing and later voting Tiink looked like a weak attempt at trying to divert attention (her reasoning was Tiink's vote on Day 1, and it didn't stand out to me any more than any other vote).

 

Thorum still playin all over the place. I keep waffling between derptown and scum read on him, might just be best to lynch him soon to remove the wifom and doubt there.

 

There were other plays and posts I saw that were questionable, but I don't wanna muddle up my reads too much. Even though there's a couple of people I'm considering switching my vote to, Chuckles hasn't done anything to make me feel better about him, the deadline is coming up soon, and I still think he's a great info lynch.
