Isn't that a bit extremistic? If there's no rooster (is that the right word?) that got close to the hen, the egg doesn't contain a chicken anways. You either eat it, or you let it rot and that's it.

This. As far as I know it's totally vegetarian (and very healthy!)

Don't most cakes contain milk as well? Doesn't the same issue with eggs apply?
