No, I don't. I had recorder lessons as part of Music Appreciation when I was in elementary school, but I was awful at it. I was in choir for many years, I still love singing. However, my voice is terribly out of practice and I have a very unique range, so I sound awful.

I never became serious about vocal training because of my learning disability in math. I am completely unable to read music. I had to learn new pieces by listening to them over and over again and memorizing them. My sense of pitch also tends to slide all over the place. That's not a terribly difficult thing to overcome, but I'm easily frustrated and it just seemed like too much trouble to go to for something I'd only be fair to middling at anyways.

The only time I sing now is when I'm teaching my students songs from the different time periods we're studying.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to turn you down, Kadere. I am already quite happily married to Segurant and it's not legal for me to be married to more than one person at a time. I have been told, moreover, that I make a terrible wife. I've been spoiled rotten by my current husband who indulges nearly all my insane whims and puts up with the indignity of being an Amyrlin's husband. Its probably for the best that we can't marry.

However, I will always treasure your proposal and if ever Segurant decides he's had enough of me, you can be certain I'll contact you.

I think arguing canon about a TV show based on robots from space that turn into cars is sort of silly.

kathy, (can i call you kathy?), transformers are never silly. you must be thinking about go-bots.

you're right about bay though. what a turd.

i guess i should ask a question. my wife says that i need to change my socks every day. i feel that if you can't smell them from more than 3 feet away, they're good for another lap. what do you think?

No you may not.

Honestly, I sort of agree with you. I've been known to wear a pair of socks a few times in a row without washing them in between. However, if you sweat heavily, you definitely need to change them daily. I tend not to sweat, unless I'm at the gym, so mine are okay.

But really, socks are such a small thing. Changing them every day will make your wife happy. Buy a few extra pairs and change them every day. Sure, it might be unnecessary, but you'll get hasseled less at home.

How do you like being an Amyrlin? Does it have good benefits?

I like being an Amyrlin quite a bit. People know who I am and generally get what I want. Sometimes I have to be responsible, and a good example when I don't really want to be, but that's a small price to pay. Overall, I'm pretty happy that I've spent nine years of my life Amyrlin-ing.

Dear boss' date='

I finally have a question worthy of asking your wise bossness. Who killed Asmodean?

Thank you for your time,

Kaznen[/quote']

Graendal did it.

Oh, you want proof. Ugh, I'm bad at this part.

Alright, there were these two servants, see? You know, in Morgase's palace, in "The Fires of Heavan". They were really Graendal and Sammael. Anyways, after Rand was done tearing up the joint, Graendal was hiding in the closet, and Asmodean accidently walked in on her. He screamed his girly-ass scream and she zapped him. Pow! Right in the kisser.

You can probably find a better explanation on Google. But I'm right.

So right ...

But for such the wrong reason .... -sigh-

Anyway ... are you up for phasing out the stole? You could replace it with a sceptre .... at least you bonk people on the head with that.

Nope, not really. Sceptres are nice, but stoles... Unless you've worn one, you just don't know how special it feels. I've actually considered having a winter scarf made up that looks like an Amyrlin's stole, just so I don't have to wait until Dragon*Con each year to wear one. My students would get a kick out of it.

Your Seatness' date=' do you have any other gems from the books that you could share with us?[/quote']

Yes, I do. But I'd prefer a more specific question. Keep in mind, I'm not great at expounding on theories. I actively avoided sitting on panels at Dragon*Con until recently.

from now on' date=' I really love you Mumsy!! :D

oh, and a question. what does your christmastree look like, and do you have any decorations for it that is special you?? :D[/quote']

I took some pictures for you. Its easier than trying to describe it. http://picasaweb.google.com/jennifer.liang/Tree

You can see the over all tree, as well as two of my favorite ornaments. I actually have TONS of favorite ornaments, including a very beautiful angel cast out of wax that my grandmother gave me when I was born. My parents say any time I want to enjoy them, I can go visit them at their house.

Most of what's on our tree is cheap glass stuff that we bought in bulk, or things my parents bought us so I'd quit asking for my ornaments from them. We buy a few more ornaments every year, as well as other holiday decorations. My mom goes frickin' NUTS with the decorating this time of year, so my house feels sort of naked. But it takes time to build a good supply of decorations, and most of the good stuff happens after you get children and they start making you silly things that are too precious to throw out.

No, I don't. I tend to lean towards him having something to do with the chaos in Tarabon. He is definitely NOT Mazrim Taim, however.
