Ok, I am finally back. Christmas just sucked me away, I'm sorry. Will be back to normal from now!

I don't like the votes on JLM. Voting for someone that hasn't been active won't result in anything good in my opinion. Let her post on these matters first before building a train on her. 

 

I was suspicious about Mynd since Day 1 and I still am. I however don't like the speed of the train that has been built up on him after Night 1, it seems like the mafia saw an easy target and are just eager to get him lynched. I doubt that two scum players would fake claim Masons. It's a guaranteerd loss if anything goes wrong. I would like to hear about some investigations first before voting, it's Day 2 after all.

Cosmic, I think Cloud is a newer player that got roped into the Mynd scheme just cause he happened to be there. His actual play has been null to me. I may be cutting him a break cause he looked like the initial victim of the Mynd day one debacle.

 

Kaylee, I was referring to the entirety of Mish's day one. The actual post was a bit of fluff. It did raise my eyebrow some.

 

Dice, I am willing to give BG the benefit if the doubt for now since Rand has been so kind to point himself out as mafia.

I'm not comfortable with the Mynd/Ishy lynch at this point. BG likely has something in his role that tells him he can be recruited, so he is likely vanilla town at this point. Turin seems to be legitimate scum hunting to me. I'm not sure about the Rand votes, but I'll read back and try to give my thoughts on that. As for inactivity, my apologies for not getting on as much but we have family with us during the holidays so it is busy.

Cloud: voting for someone adds pressure which sometimes draws out those that are quiet. I added the vote for the reasons listed and also hope it helps bring her around to address it.

 

The train on Mynd is indeed going quick. As I said I'm believing BG for now so would rather not jump on that train atm. I'll be around tonight and can switch my vote if needed.

OK, Turin with the blatant OMGUS first of all.

 

Secondly, he starts spreading fear by bringing up recruiting, which he can later use to discredit any claimed roles.

 

Third of all, he starts trying to take down the mason team with a lynch, when we know that having a mafia team claim masons is the best way to knock out two of their players, not to mention that that would be Ishy and Mynd, two very good players.  It would be practically suicide for both of them with one cop viewing.

 

SO my vote goes to Turin

This last post by Cloud I do not like very much as it seems to be echoing Rands thoughts and I have serious doubts about Rand. The last line about asking for investigation results is just awful. Itmakes me wonder if he could be mafia and his team is trotting him out as a stalking horse to ask questions that would draw even more heat if coming from amore experienced player.

Stupid quotes.  Anyways, I think that because I was in a game recently where it was indicated that only certain people could be recruited, and if you were one of the people who could be recruited you were notified in your role.  I'm not 100% on that since I didn't have anything in my role indicating such but supposedly others did.

im not after BGs role. Im after his reason.

 

scenario   BG Mynd and Ishy are all scum. Ishy and Mynd try a gambit of claiming Masons. (I find it very easy to believe that these two would try a risky gambit like that) At this point it is very easy for mafia BG to come and say "I have a reason to believe them" but not actually give that reason.  This causes town to go "ooooohhhhh BGs got a reason lets leave those two alone!!" which lets them skate.

 

I say lynch Mynd. We get info. He flips Mafia and ishy goes next (and then possibly BG) he flips town Ishy is semi confirmed. Losing a mason? doesnt seem that big a deal to me really particul;arly when its the best lead we have and gets us info on another player or more

Sorry TG, not following your thought process here. How does "I have a reason to believe the mason claim" morph into "I can be recruited and am vanilla."

 

I can see how you could feel that certain people might have something in their role PM about if they can be recruited or not. I remember that from a few different games. Darthe's GoT game was one of them so it is possible.

 

Dice, I can see that as a possibility and it may be required to put the mason claim to the ultimate test. I think there are also some other options today. I think there may be a day to try to vet all these claims.

My intention was never to push people to reveal their roles or whatever. I only thought that it might help clarify the current situation if someone shared a bit of info, without endangering themselves. I find it highly probable that someone somehow viewed Mynd last Night, especially with all the stuff that has been going around.

BG your use of the word they implies that both were checked. Or are you basing it on if one started clean the other must be as well? flavor? very odd that there would be flavor when most didn't even have names at the start of the game until Darthe handed out name badges.

 

Cloud for an example if a cop were to come out with more than just a case on an individual at this time it would require revealing most likely. Without a guilty it would not be worth it.

Rand is an acceptable alternative at present. I find his defense too strong for someone that doesn't know alignments. He went after Peace yesterday and then Me today. The two biggest Mynd detractors. I am very interested to see how he flips.

Yeah. Recruiting is a whole other bag though. unless they were day recruited, the casing is useless.

Hmm, this seems like a lot of reasons that Turin is scummy, yet you vote for Basel instead. However, I am going to unvote and I want an explanation from Dice and basel on why they kept their vote on Mynd after what BG said.

 

Rand: I already laid out my case on Mynd. I kept my vote on Mynd because I think he is scum.... duh. That shouldn't be a hard concept. Huge FoS on you for the way you are so willing to take what BG said completely on faith before he laid out what his reason was. BG isn't looking that townie to me either, his claim could be fakery meant to pull some heat off Mynd and Ishy when they start getting in a bind. Alternatively, Rand, are you just buddying up to BG here?

 

So the big question on my mind right now is:

Basel, you seem to have missed my vote. Nevertheless, when somebody says that they have a reason for believing somebody but doesn't want to disclose it, it's good play not to pry further unless you think they're scummy. Nobody has found BG scummy so far in the game, so it's bad play to pry further. As it is, it's pretty obvious right now what his role is, and that's a shame. 

 

As it is, you have three options. You can demand that BG claims fully and see if somebody counterclaims (though I don't think he has  a role that's common enough for that to be a reliable option), you can take BG's word and accept that Ishy's claim is not a fakeclaim, or you can decide that BG, Mynd and Ishy are all scum together. This last option seems very unlikely to me, since no mafia team would want three of its members so exposed so early in the game. 

 

And Rand, I don't think that what I said about Turin makes him scum.
