Oh and Nol - about the third party win conditions like Jester or Lyncher and whatnot, I appreciate where your mind is at in that players in general are too lax about those roles, but honestly to truly inspire change shouldn't you try to get other mods to do the same thing in their games? Otherwise people will just act the same way, unless it's in your game.

I give my opinions when such topics come up (speaking of which I wish we had more discussion topics in this forum) but I'm not going to go around telling other people how I think they should mod

 

I think the best thing to do is to lead by example

I mod how I think games should be modded and hopefully people who enjoy my games will try to do the same things I did because they had fun

Not that I do much that's original or anything

I'm about half way done editing cut scenes for the different games and I'm noticing that some games have a significant amount of cut scenes (~10)

I plan on trying to strategically place them throughout the games but it could happen that a game ends before I'm able to post them all in which case I'd make one big post with the rest of the cut scenes after the game is over

 

Is there anyone who would mind this? If so are you able to think of a better way to pace or deliver these?

Of course they are all optional and nobody has to watch them

They're there for your enjoyment and I hope it really puts you in the game

I'm just trying to make this as enjoyable as possible for everyone so if anyone has any ideas or suggestions let me know

 

Oh and let me know if you're ok with a bunch of post game cut scenes too

Maybe I can pace them out if we decide to take breaks or something so there's still some sort of activity going on

Super exciting news out of the Tokyo Gameshow today guys!

Kingdom Hearts 1 (Final Mix) and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories are getting and HD remix on the PS3!

So far it's only Japanese confirmed but more than likely it'll be coming out here too

 

Chain of Memories already had a port to console so that's not a huge deal but hey it'll be in HD now so that's nice

The Final Mix for KH1 was never released in the states and includes a secret ending and stuff

As far as I know there's not a whole lot extra in the Final Mix but I still think it's pretty awesome depending on the price (HD only carries so much weight Sony)

 

Maybe next year we'll finally see an announcement for Kingdom Hearts 3...

Just a quick update on this

Due to the fact that I still don't have a new computer cord this might start later than intended

I still need to edit about half the cutscenes and I'd planned on doing that all through December and January so this has set me back quite a bit

Even if I just dumped that whole part of the project (which I don't want to do) we can't play until I get my computer working because all the setup info is on it, no backups

I still plan on making this happen but it might not happen as soon as I'd hoped

So I was just rereading my FAQ and got to thinking that maybe breaks between games would be a good idea

Not only would it allow everyone a break but it would also free people up to play/mod other games in the meantime, I don't want to steal everyone away for the entire year you know?

The problem with that is it would probably take even longer than projected (6-12 months) to get through all the games

 

So I'm a bit torn

I'd like to break it up (especially if we don't get 14 fully committed people) but I also don't want to drag this out since it's already going to be a really long thing

If we take breaks I think I'll just go through the queue like normal for each game which can take quite a bit of time as we all know

If we don't take breaks then I'm probably going to try to get a game started and finished every 6-8 weeks (it may be a good idea to double check but I believe I was given permission to skip the queue due to the scope of this project which is why I would be able to keep this schedule)

I say keep it going without breaks. Most people interested would play in multiple games at a time anyway.

I´m trying to not play more than one game at a time. So I would think a pause a little now and then would be good. Or if it´s okay to skip a game in the middle.
