Well we need to do something here. I'm guessing Wombat will be replaced, so I'm getting pretty darn close to voting Alanna for inactivity...

For what it's worth, I'm guessing Alanna has been busy irl, her wot mafia game has been stuck in night phase for a while now...

Sorry about not posting much. Had some RL issues to deal with. I should be able to be more active now.

Current thoughts: not sure who to vote four atm.

Quadvoter breadcrumb?

Vote Despo

Vote Mr. Snow

No, autocorrect has taken over my phone.

Sorry I hadn't posted a lot, mostly it's because not much is happening, and I'm not very good at getting stuff going in mafia games, so I usually let other people do that. I will reread the last few pages and them post my thoughts.

Did I forget to mention in this thread I would be scarce for a bit? I mentioned it in others. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on the weekend.

I just spend all my lunch break catching up on the game I'm modding, so I will post more thoughts here when I get home from work in a few hours.

I'm sorry for the absence. Counting votes right now, and I'll have Wom's replacement in in a bit.

Songstress is replacing Wwwombat.

Official Vote Count:

Lulz (1): Sakaea

Des (1): John

John (1): Des

Mish (1): Lulz

Not voting (9): Wwwombat, Random, Kaylee, BG, Alanna, Mish, Basel, Rand, Peace

Deadline is now noon DM time on Monday, September 24th. I may or may not be online at that time, but all votes after the deadline will not count.

With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

Ok, some things I noticed so far...

Random places the 2nd vote on Kae; she calls him on it then states she'd do it to anyone...she didn't do it just because the vote was in her...

Despo votes Kae for her FOS statement & for her "pre-defending" herself.

Basel votes her for the same reasons.

Kae claims cop.

Random states he's watching Basel for his bandwagon vote & for unvoting when Kae claimed cop, but keeping his vote.

^ This sounds suspicious, but could be because this is his first game.

Despo calls Random on this & votes him.

Random then unvotes. He didn't realize a cop could claim this early.

Despo comments about a possible gambit between them due to the wording about the "obvious wrong" reading on Kae post from Random; & the"make sure he's town" post from Kae.

^ Possible, but for now I'm leaning towards believing the encountered cop claim.

Basel claims sensor...

Never seen that role in a basic game before.

Lolguy pops in to make a comment about school.

Kae votes him for his convenient timing & lack of content post.

I agree with Kae's reasoning for voting lolguy, but I've between guilty of the same thing. I'm keeping an eye on Basel for claiming a role that seems out of place in a basic game & lolguy. (Random too, though I'm thinking he might be town).

@Kaylee: since I've been playing, what constitutes a "basic" game on DM has had a considerably looser interpretation that you might think. If you take basic strictly, then my role might be out of place. If you go through the games for the past several months, both on this board and others on DM, I think you will find several instances of basic games that have some of what you might call out of place roles. As an example, my very first game had me as a town doublevoter in a basic game, with the restriction that I couldn't use both votes on the same person, and the mafia had a recruiter that would die if they recruited the wrong person (which wound up actually happening).

Okay, even after rereading the thread I'm unsure who to vote for. There just aren't any great candidates. I was leaning most towards Basel, but lynching a possible power role D1 would be a bad idea. However, I am still suspicious of him. Partly because it seems really odd to have a sensor and a cop in a basic game (not to mention balance-wise - I would think the scum must have something good to balance that out).

That said, the rules about basic games have been relaxed around here; I'm not even sure if the setups have to be approved or anything, so anything could go, I guess.

I'm also tempted to vote for inactivity, but, uh, hypocritical much?

Let's put a little pressure on lolguy and see what he has to say.

Hola! Just got home from work... I've been following along and skimming, but I shall want to read a bit more closely before voting.

But first, dinner. *starving*

Didn't say it wasn't possible, I've seen some unusual roles used for/in basic games. That's also why I didn't vote you as yet. The possibility of it being true...would be better to wait on that.

Also makes me wonder about balance.

Welcome to the game Tress!

Alright guys, we got a deadline. Need to get our butts rolling.

I really think it's way too early to be voting on inactives. It's day 1. Don't get me wrong, Alanna and Lulz have brought very little contribution to the town scumhunt, but gunning for inactives this early is folly.

We still have plenty of time to be able to pressure someone and find scum.
