Btw, I did want to address something about my meta. People generally seem to recognize me as a pretty good mafia player, but in many ways this kinda works against me. For instance, Lily, you say that I am good at being believably townie as scum, but the reality is I really don't get rolled as mafia that often at all, and just about every time I am scum I get lynched, partially at least because I am such a polarizing player. I try to introduce as much wifom as possible when I go down in such situations, but my point is that I'm actually not as good at wriggling out of lynches as scum as you or my reputation might suggest.

 

Just had to get that out there. Believe it or not, I'm ACTUALLY requesting that yall downplay my mafia skills a tad in the future, I'm really not as good as yall make me out to be!

 

I would like to reveal my role. I am a Genie and hereby grant Despo's wish. He isn't really all that good at playing Mafia, but he is very good at posting lots of stuff that no-one really reads.

 

But, Despo ... more important that that, if you are Mafia, can you please try and teach Rand to stop confessing to being Mafia ...

It is becoming something of a handicap to the Mafia to have Rand on their team I think. I bet they all groaned when they saw his name appear.

I've voted for two people for legitimate reasons, from my reasoning at least. If you are Town and voting me then you would be better off looking elsewhere, if you are Mafia it's all good.

 

I'm basically getting voted for just for playing the game. Lurking seems to be the best way to survive these days, or following other people's arguments so that you don't stand out from the crowd too much.

 

Did anyone else see this? Basically, she is setting up the grounds for saying that anyone voting for her is scum, nice way to try and get people off your train with scummy reasoning.

1: You have a point here, but as some people may be able to tell you, I have a habit of posting what I am thinking which leads to a lot of posts like this.

 

2: Actually have heard a lot of people talk about you doing this, "he's pulling a Wombat". or "he is chanelling his inner Wombat". Sorry, since it was just what everyone says you always do, I assumed it was, which is why I asked for a case later when you told me it wasn't.

I think also your asseration that I was trying to divert attention from myself is possibly the most ridiculous thing I have heard you say so far. I had no attention from anyone when I began to play. I could have just kept quiet and kept that level of no attention. Instead I chose to point out two players and possible links to them. I'm sure you do like your vote. It required very little thought on your part, and you can blame everyone else when I die.

 

I'm not Mafia, Lily. You can continue with your lazy arguments, prodding and tunnelling ... perhaps you can say I am scummy some more. That's always a valid and completely well thought out reason. This post doesn't really do anything to convince me to move my vote. You're playing the sympathy angle now and using desperation tactics to redirect attention onto others. I have shown my suspicions of Tiinker from the start, and I feel like Darthe has gone underground since I fos'd him. I'm not building up a case on someone at the last second.

As to that last line, that's the exact problem. Since you have gotten a lot of votes on you that's pretty much EXACTLY what you're doing, sitting back and simpering. And your posts have lost the confident scumhunting tone they had at the beginning of the game and are starting to sound more and more viperish.

Why? I asked because if someone votes me, like Nol said, I want to know why. By this reasoning, the whole mafia team could just randomly vote someone and never give an explanation and when they ask the mafia team could say they were scum. Plus, looking at cases also helps you determine if that person is scum or not. I'm not saying this just for this game, I think this should be extended across all games.

Starting to think from how the competing trains coalesced so "naturally" that Ithi could be mafia. Not sure though. Rand and Ithi are both good lynches imo.
